  • Architect Rahul Mehrotra welcomes you to a fascinating journey into the heart of architectural brilliance at the Cept library in Ahmedabad. As we kick off our second season of #Getinspired, this remarkable building takes center stage.
The Cept library is a true masterpiece, boasting 12 interactive spaces spread across six levels. What makes it even more extraordinary are the three distinct 'skins' that nestle into each other seamlessly-the outer skin, the middle glass layer, and the central core.
🌟 Rahul Mehrotra, an esteemed architect and an ex-student of Cept, guides us through this architectural wonder. His profound connection to the place shines through as he explains how this space is designed for both utility and aesthetics. Students here have the privilege to study in small groups, engaging with their environment on the upper levels, or find tranquility and focus in the underground portals.
🏫 Using simple yet ingenious materials, Rahul Mehrotra not only showcases what constitutes architecture but also demonstrates how it performs and influences our experiences within spaces.
#Getinspired is a series of short films dedicated to showcasing the best of progressive design and architecture in India. We invite you to share this film with fellow enthusiasts who are passionate about inspiring design.
