  • Approached to design the new municipal office in Nice, architect Sasha Sosno had a clear vision: a giant building shaped like the bust of a man with a solid box for a head. How to actually build it would require a brilliant blend of architectural innovation and improvisation.

I’ve seen it couple of years ago… In real it’s just stunning to be observed. But so is the whole city of Nice and its surroundings. Book your next vacation there, you will not be disappointed!

Fascinating that I saw this while I was there without knowing it was something special

That's pretty cool! I kinda would like more buildings that are art and functional like that!

How did I miss seeing this building while I was there in the Spring of 2008? 🤔

Frank Lloyd Wright pioneered the design of floors cantilevered from a central core in the Johnson Wax Research Tower and Price Tower in the 1950s.

This would be cool to go to if I was on a high school field trip. Beyond that this is horrendous for anyone that has to live near this or god help them, live in it.

I prefer a woman's bust instead of a man, has a softening effect on the block.

I’ve seen library etiquette go down in newton ma some guy was talking on the phone and the librarian talked loud enough into the microphone there was feedback please sir with the phone put your mask on he said he was fully vaccinated I told the librarian I don’t agree with the masks or vax but he shouldn’t have been on the phone in a library

As a book addict, I hate this blockhead architecture. The best library design is in Chicago. The building is made if enormous books with title and author on the spine exactly like it’d look on your bookshelf.

It looks out of place and expensive. no doubt it fell on the French taxpayers to pay for it.
