Reporter: During our interview, Nadia Comaneci was at home with her beloved family, with her parents Adrian and Alexandrina Comaneci and her little brother Gheorghe Comaneci (note - it's a mistake. Adrian is her brother and Gheorghe was her father). With her well-known simplicity, Nadia was reliving her success. An atmosphere that we wouldn't want to spoil by translating it into the words of a reporter. Images speak for themselves. However, performance requires work. A lot of work. Nadia and her two coaches, Marta and Bela Karolyi, were present in the gymnastics training hall - the place where, at that moment, athletes were training intensively. The place where great performances are built, a place of audacity, discipline, but also poetry.
Reporter: How are you, Nadia? You are home again, back to your friends and loved ones, and you are in the training hall that you know so well. I feel like you've waited for this moment, is that right? Do you want to train?
Nadia: Yes, I want to train, I like it very much. To me it feels like playing when I train.
R: Komrade professor Karolyi has informed you about the training schedule, or the readjustment schedule to be more specific. What do you have in plan for today?
N: Today I'll have a short readjustment session after the championships.
R: An easier, more relaxed training...
N: Yes.
R: What events will you work on?
N: Balance beam.
R: What is your most favourite event?
N: I like the uneven bars most
R: Why?
N: Because this is where I learned the most new elements and now I perform 3 brand new elements on uneven bars.
R: Difficult elements...
N: Yes.
R: And this is your satisfaction, right?
N: Yes.
R: You feel that you perform these elements very well and you are happy with it.
N: Yes, I perform well but there is still room for improvement.
R: Do you really like gymnastics so much?
N; Yes, I like gymnastics very much. To me it's the most beautiful sport.
R: Would you tell us now, between friends - were you afraid at the European championships?
N: No, I wasn't nervous at all. I was very consistent in my routines, I worked very hard for this and I was certain I'd deliver.
R: What apparatus were you most afraid of?
N: I wasn't afraid of any!
R: What about your competitors?
N: No, I wasn't afraid of them either.
R: But now, as you already know your competitors - the world champion Ludmila Tourischeva, the very good athlete from DGR, Annelore Zinke - and you won against them, do you think you'll be able to beat them in the future competitions?
N: Yes, I think I'll win in the future too. You know, this is my first interview and I am a bit shy, but I will perform on the apparatus and my routines will speak for me.

o campioana inascuta are acel dar de la dumnezeu o laud pentru ca a facut multe eforturi ca sa ajunga ce este azi si nu e usor sa fii gimnastica mai ales pt ca saltul cu surub este greu si trebuie sa ai si o postura buna ca astefel te depuncteaza si trebuie sa ai si forta si cel mai greu aparat este paralele pentru ca trebuie ca piciorele sa fie drepte si trebuie sa te bazezi pe salturi,putere si cum inchei

Un ofițer de securitate a fost trecut în rezervă pt că a fugit Nadia Comăneci.Ulterior el a devenit un un de afaceri prosper.Avea secrete Nadia? Nu avea. Era vorba despre altceva: să nu fie valoare națională.Nadia Comăneci era o valoare națională.S-au cazul sportivului Belodici de la steaua. Securiștii se verificau reciproc între ei. Se verifica nivelul pregătirii profesionale și dacă omul era pregătit să reziste presiunilor contrainformative făcute în străinătate.Dacă era nepregătit s-au lipsit de devotament față de patrie nu pleca.Ei semnau și răspundeau personal dacă rămânea unul în străinătate.scopul lor era să se asigure de loialitate, că v-a veni înapoi.Dacă trăda răspundea cu funcția și gradul s-au era trecut în rezervă.Acestea erau exagerările din perioada dictaturii Ceaușiste.

Daar nu zice nimic reporterul asta de tv.Bela care chinuia si batea,fetele inclusiv pe Nadia catca umilit-o.....nu e vorba de munca aici ,munca se face si cu bunatate nu ca tv.antrenor care injosea fetele....acest nemernic prieten bun cu Verdeţ in acele timpuri....
Oare mai stie dobitocul cum se comporta ???exact ca in Coreea se Nord....
