I loved Psyduck before, but I love it even more now. Especially my Marguk in Diamond. Had it since the beginning of the game, and now it's a Golduck. I like to imagine that it gained control of its powers more, and overcame its headaches thanks to the bond I havd with it.

Great, now I feel bad for Psyduck. I love how you integrate Pokemon into everyday life, like chilling at the grocery store or battles happening in backyards. Very cozy feeling.
I remembered never finding these guys cute cuz of how weird their eyes are.. thank you for making me love these pokemon more and more and thank you for not causing another heartbreak-

it sucks a lot, videos like these where its worked hard and a lot of love and passion deserves more attention than money hungry parents who sees kids as a source of revenue
i started loving him after he carried all the comedy in the first seasons of the anime by himself. mistys psyduck is just the funniest character in early seasons.

I'm not really big on the whole patreon thing, so forgive me for asking this, but could you maybe try your hand at a video explaining regional forms? I already know what they are and all that, it'd just be nice to have a video explaining it without all the usual fluff most people constantly plug nowadays.
I mean seriously, who needs 10 out 12 minutes to say why you should do whatever when they can just put up some cards at the end like you do? anyways, I'm whinging, but if regional forms are a no go, then maybe Unovan Darumaka and/or Darmanitan if you're okay with it. thanks.

I don't have any plans to make videos specifically about regional forms, but I will include them in any video about the pokemon itself (so if I did a Meowth video it would include Alolan Meowth for example). I have more plans for some new Pokedex episodes though I hope you enjoy what's to come :)

I'd vouch for a dark type variant. One that leans into the pain in order to figure out it's abilities. The trick then is naming it something without Emo or Linkin Park in the name.

It always confused me why they put so much emphasis on psyduck having psychic powers but never made it a psychic secondary type
Maybe because it doesn't have control over its psychic powers? Lore-wise, it sounds like Pokémon are only classified under certain types if they can control that certain *type* of power.

I know Psyduck, Misty in the anime owns one. She was annoyed by it a few times at first since it doesn’t attack much and it doesn’t use its psychic attacks until it’s headache. And when Versis mentioned about Psyduck communicating through brain waves for deep sleepers, reminded me of that Pokémon episode where sleeping Pokémon were following the sound coming from Psyduck. I believe I remember that Team Rocket was behind that scheme that one time back in Sinnoh.

I think the reason why Psyduck isn't a Psychic Type is because the Psychic powers cause it such pain. That being said, there was no such excuse for Golduck.

as someone who suffers migraines, this Pokemon cannot be a more perfect example of how fuckin bad they can get.
there's actually a type of migraine that's supposed to be so painful, the person experiencing it can pass out.

My autism can give me many headaches and I know exactly how it feels when the headaches are too much to handle.

It would take the most sadistic of trainers to actually enable those headaches just to have it use a power it doesn’t even know it has.
While I know they used psyduck in the show did they ever tackle a trainer causing its headaches just to have it win a battle?
I mean, technically, you could count Misty, since most of the time, the team relied on something else to cause Duck boy a massive headache. Anything from allowing a Shellder to clamp tight on his head, increasing sound, or jsut letting the poor think get beat up in battle. Misty could have, most of the time, brought out her more stable Pokémon like Staryu or Starmie, but she instead allowed one of her Pokémon to go through physical pain just so he'd use his psychic abilities.

So, I did a quick search and the show apparently either doesn't specify her Psyduck's sex or calls it a boy in some dubs. What's wrong with using generic "he" on an ambiguous animal?

Just these short videos of the pokemon gives them so much more depth and heart than the games ever have to me.
It makes them feel more real, and gives the feeling of talking about actual monsters. I mean this in a way that makes me feel a deep compassion and deeper love for these other-world creatures.

Why would you send a Psyduck against an Ivysaur? That trainer couldn't of guessed it would get a bad headache. Ivysaur would have destroyed it otherwise

My guess is that since Ivysaur is also a poison type, Psyduck technically has the advantage due to it knowing psychic type moves

Personal belief I've had for a while regarding psyduck is the psychic power it contains is getting "backed up" so to speak, and it can't contain it all, inducing head trauma and painful bouts of headaches. Using said power releases the "pressure" and alleviates the pain.

Aw, I love Psyduck so much, the crying legit made my heart ache.
I even have a Golduck OC named Luke, he ran away from his trainer because they lived in a loud and stressful household. Then he was nursed back to health by two of my other Pokémon OC's and decided to stick with them instead. He eventually evolved and now he's a confident *flert*, lol. The world he lives in takes place in a PMD-inspired universe, so he's both a part of a rescue team and runs a little shop so they can make lots of *maney*.
That bit at the end was cute.
i love psyduck, if i had one id honestly try to find a way to make the headaches lesser and not as bad- cause that honestly has to suck
