    I love how this is his actual death scene. It's not just a bit, where he's back the next episode - he canonically dies here and they have a funeral and everything. Possibly the greatest killing off of a character on television

      There was a real life situation like this in a maraschino cherry factory. There was a suspicion of drug growing there and when the investigators confronted the boss, he excused himself to the bathroom and then promptly shot himself.

    It's just the way he does it, without any hesitation whatsoever, that kills me every time 😂
    This will always be my favourite scene from the IT Crowd; never saw it coming. The first time I saw this scene I thought he was just going to walk up to the window and gaze out across London whilst pondering what to do next, but nope, straight-up pencil dives out of the window and plummets to his death 🤣

    My job is to review the financial statements. This scene is why I giggle every time something does not add up in disclosures of pension funds. These lovely irregularities.

    I think what makes this the best jumping out of a window shot in the entire history of jumping out of windows is the smooth, single motion of walking to the window, opening it and jumping, alongside the arms straight down by the side.

    When I was a teen I never got why the pension thing was a big deal, but now that I work at an office yea it’s a pretty messed up he was taking their employees pensions.
    Pretty much meaning if they were fired or retired then their pensions would be non existent and all that they work they did for the company would be for nothing. Yea not only very illegal but liable to be sued by the employees for millions of dollars.

    What is more amazing (in the context of the show) is that this man is rich as hell and instead of wasting a good 3 million (probably a bit low) on cover ups and falsefied documents he just says "Pfff fuck that, I guess im going to fulfill the last thing on my bucket list."

    There was an incident I think in Germany years ago, some guy in an office block had a thing he used to do where he would demonstrate how strong the windows were by running into them and bouncing off. One time there was someone new to the building so he did his trick but went straight through and fell to his death.

      I agree, kinda. I'm usually against laugh tracks, in fact, sitcoms are a turn off for me usually BECAUSE of the laugh tracks. But for some reason, it really works with this show.
