- Picked up some Megan Racing Coilovers back in November for my 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX during a black Friday sale and finally got around to putting them in.
Video shows step by step installation of the process if you are looking to do this to your DSM it is perfect for following along.

Im installing mine I'm worried if I go to low my upper ball joints will rub the tire was that an issue for you?

your struts are shot? amazon $50 lowering springs adjustable KYB AGX Strut in front, $50 Walmart's in back, then you have to buy strut seats and bushings $$$$$ but it will ride nice and last longer then little coil overs

Very good. I had the car aligned and stiffened them up and I really like them. I think K sport makes a model with camber adjustments though and if I could re do it I think I would go that route as the eclipse does not have a lot of good camber adjustment options anymore. That said with the amount of drop I went with I did not have to use any aftermarket camber kits and the car is aligned with just a tish over 2 degrees of negative camber up front for a more spirited in the corners car. 🙂👍

When replaing parts wd40 is ok but it eventually evaporates and slows water into the metal and rust. I always prefer using PB Blaster. It's a superior penetrating oil.

I noticed you don't have hood insulation. For the sake of saving your paint I would suggest investing in heat tape for under your hood brodie

They do not. Big bumps I am getting a little fender rub now.

Stock Height for sure. Maybe higher. I sold the car so cannot verify. There may be something on their site that specifies.
Can I go up to 2 in low with Megan coilovers ??
Not sure what you mean. You can slam it with Megan’s. My fronts were maxed though so if you want to go lower maybe look elsewhere. Still had a little left to go in the rear when I finished though.

Right on! If your looking at the Megan’s they don’t bounce. Definitely on the softer side of coilovers on the settings I currently have. I’ll crank them over to full stiff and update in one of my next videos. ☺️👍🏼

So for the time being I’m just upgrading suspension and aesthetics. Performance mods will be coming down the road. Honestly the T25 isn’t that bad for me. If I do power upgrades expect to see spray! ☺️🏁👍🏼

You need camber kit for this car front and rear, even with lowering springs. Unless you want to be like my dumbass that went through four sets of tires where I ate the inside of the tire before I bought one :)

on the back yeah found same problem I un bolted the top of the knuckle as well. In the front I also had to un do some of the suspension as when you have coilovers that are lowered you can't fit the roller in. Keep up the good work!

Will the tire specs you got rub?
No sir. I tested them in multiple scenarios during and after shooting this video. You’d have to be taking a hard corner fast and hit a decent bump and even then i am not sure they would hit. Hard to test that. 🙃
