Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is the capital of the Camarque in the south of France.
The church of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer hold the relics of Saint Sarah, patron saint of the Romani people ("gypsies") and the relics of Two of the Three Marys - Saint Mary of Cleopas and Saint Mary Salome. The relics of the Third Mary, Saint Mary Magdalene are in the nearby town of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume in the Basilica of the same name.
