    Thanks for y'all's video. The Staunton river videos hit me I live only about thirty minutes away and have watched the level drop

      That drop is tragic. It was my favorite place near the Rapidan.

    What about Heavy Duty Velcro where the knuckle pushes against the hull. . .

      The issue is how to get everything to adhere to HDPE. You have given me an idea to try. I already have another hack on this that is working well.

    Kayak with trolling motor is the way .seen so many videos for mounts and etc but I literally just clamp mine to the side right behind me and put the battery in the front and she's good to go for anyone wondering. Handle sits right at my shoulder and I can sit back and relax and easily steer

    Would not drilling holes in pac otors void warranty. I have a pacotor. This main issue I have is with the remotes control pressure. The remote buttons require a lot of pressure to work and sometimes do not work. After receiving a 2nd remote. Still had to take remote apart and insert cardboard behind buttons for remote would work properly. Per pacmotor, this is a known problem and plans are to have a revised remote in a few months. You may want to waite to purchase a pacmotor until a new remote is available. Synching a new remote with pacmotor is not easy. You have to remove motor housing plate and reattach with silcone.

      Any update with the remote?

    Interesting video. Many thanks for sharing your experience.
    Hard to tell from just viewing the video, but it looks like the real design flaw is in what you refer to as the knuckles. (too much flex) I have made several projects utilizing my rigid rail system. Not sure if it would work in this application or not but the extrusion I use has been shown to be extremely rigid.

    Thanks for the video. My pacmotor is still in the box. Now I know what I need to do. I would like to find a way to avoid the straps all together.

    Aluminum strap from that bracket angled up and bent into your track would probably be more solid than cord.

    My trolling motor on my kayak in reverse is useless. Thanks for the review on the PacMotor kayak motor.
    I'm always looking for the next best thing.

    Can you just screw the knuckle in the kayak if you don’t care about holes? So hacked man my pac is coming

    • @KayakhacksFishing
      @KayakhacksFishing  Год назад

      You could do that if you want it mounted permanently. I recommend against it. I have version 2 of this here - ruclips.net/video/xy9Q644TEdA/видео.html

      @@KayakhacksFishing yeah I saw that video. My pac motor is coming soon so I’ll check it out and decide what I want to do.

      Do you use the Pacmotor only to get from A to B, or do you also use to troll and fish? It'd be nice if there was a foot pedal so you can keep your hands free. Or do you just use your pedals for trolling while you're fishing?

    • @KayakhacksFishing
      @KayakhacksFishing  Год назад

      @@cmedens27104 I do not troll. There is a cruise control feature with the Pacmotor, so you do not need to press the control all the time. I am an A to B user.

    Old and decrepit awaits you- at 77 things begin to come unglued- or can1. Neat hack, though!
