Slap Bass and Drums, Funk Session with Cymbal Breaks, a"how to upgrade and spice up a groove" Lesson

While we were improvising a groove Phillip hit and stopped some cymbals and gave a very arranged-like sound to the beat. The Bass played through those breaks without changing the theme and so both created emphasis. This example lasts half-a-minute, the rest of this footage is without breaks.
Using a Squier by Fender Jazz Bass.
The amp was a Markbass Combo Mini CMD 121P II.
