  • When women go past 40 weeks of pregnancy they are then labelled as having an 'overdue baby'. This can cause stress due the pressure of induction (believe me, I have been there myself!) But don't worry, in this video I teach you what to do if you go past your due-date and how to handle an 'overdue' pregnancy. You will discover that an overdue baby and overdue pregnancy really isn't a thing and I explain why in the video. I also share some tips about reasons for induction of labour - explaining when these reasons are medically justified and when they are not. I also include a series of questions that I recommend you ask your maternity care team if induction is mentioned so you can receive detailed overdue baby tips and inducing labour guidance to help you decide whether an induction really is the right choice for you and your baby.
I hope you find this video helpful. If you have any questions (especially if you go over 40 weeks pregnant or over 41 weeks pregnant), let me know by leaving me a comment below :)

As a first time Mum who feels like she almost knows you because she’s been falling asleep to your affirmations every night for weeks - thank you so much for this. I was due on February 11th and my induction is booked for 18th and every day that gets closer to Sunday I cry that little bit more each night as I’m so incredibly nervous for it. My baby is healthy and so am I, her movements are great… but the induction is all booked and ready because I didn’t know it was even an option. I feel like every day I don’t go into labour my body is failing to do what it was made to but this video has really reassured me that actually February 11th really is just an estimate! I really hope my body does what it needs to, when it needs to. ❤

Dear Savannah, if you do get induced I hope it goes well for you. If there are no medical reasons for you to be induced you don't have to go through with it though. I wanted to let you know this. You can change your mind. Do have a listen to these induction audios if you end up needing something reassuring and relaxing to listen to:

Thank you very much, Anja, for very important tips, questions. Every pregnant female should to be well prepared to medical aggression. I experienced it and in the end suffered my baby and me ( a cesarean section without valid indication) 2 weeks before due date without any signs of labour. Doctors are sometimes like some hands of evil forces:( , but should to be opposite. Human body is God's very wise creation, but neocortex is difficult part ...
