Smart but useless, turns out the nurse was an escaped cereal killer They found him 2 hours after the show, stabbed to death by use of a box of Kellogg's They managed to convict the heartless monster responsible because she didn't leave the prize behind and they found it in a search of her apartment
That is just.......F-ing........Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!! The most dramatic salute to Rock music ever! I wish I'd been there to go crazy with the rest of the audience.
I dont care if anyone disagrees, these three are great musicians... Love Michael McKean's voice, and as a bass player, i'm impressed with Harry Shearer's playing
I get happier every time I watch this - why? They made a parody of the rock era and became stars themselves even getting that 'Royal' treatment at the Freddie Mercury tribute AND the lead singer is a gifted actor you'd NEVER recognise in 'Better Call Saul. These are guys that did it all.. just awesome
I actually recall being disproportionately _touched_ by them singing this at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. Though allegedly, someone pranked _them_ so they weren't ready to charge out of the gate because Nigel's amps were cold. Still one of my favorite moments from them... that plus them confronting James and Lars backstage about the Black Album. :P
I saw a clip of that performance the other night and it brought a smile to my face. I was like 18-19 years old, and that concert as shown on an MTV special or something like that. I literally laughed my ass off when they said they were cutting their set 30 songs short that day because Freddie would have wanted it that way. I laughed like it was the funniest thing I ever heard for some reason. And re-watching it over 30 years later, it is still funny.
Until this group - Britain's final super group - is admitted to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, I will flat out refuse to recognize their authority. It is a travesty to art, music and mankind in its entirety that these mega stars have not been given the recognition they have earned a thousand times over.
without doubt the most dangerous job on the planet: drummer for Spinal Tap. At least they have the humanity to have a nurse on standby, presumably with a fire extinguisher!
Anyone else notice the nurse keeping an eye on the drummer's condition at 1:39? Given Tap's history, I'd say it was a smart move.

Just in case of Spontaneous Drummer Combustion.
The nurse is reading a book instead of keeping her eye on the drummer’s heart monitor. Something bad is going to happen.

Nobody disagrees an inaccurate parody wouldn't endure.
As a band too they are phenomenal composers
That's not their names
Micheal’s accent is awesome and it just works
"The more it stays the same, the less it changes"
I think we all learned something today.

Heavy metal's deep, man.

The Majesty Of Rock
Spinal Tap
Album: Break Like the Wind
There's a pulse in the new-born sun;
A beat in the heat of noon;
There's a song as the day grows long
And a tempo in the tides of the moon
It's all around us and it's everywhere
And it's deeper than Royal blue
And it feels so real you can feel the feeling!
And that's The Majesty Of Rock!
The Mystery of Roll!
The darning of the sock
The scoring of the goal!
The farmer takes a wife
The barber takes a pole
We're in this together...and ever...
In the shade of a jungle glade
Or the rush of the crushing street
On the plain, on the foamy main
You can never escape from the beat
It's in the mud and it's in your blood
And its conquest is complete
And all that you can do is just surrender
And that's The Majesty Of Rock!
The fantasy of Roll!
The ticking of the clock
The wailing of the soul!
The prisoner in the dock
The digger in the hole
We're in this together...and ever...
When we die, do we haunt the sky?
Do we lurk in the murk of the seas?
What then? Are we born again?
Just to sit asking questions like these?
I know, for I told me so
And I'm sure each of you quite agrees:
The more it stays the same, the less it changes!
And that's The Majesty Of Rock!
The fantasy of Roll!
The ticking of the clock
The wailing of the soul!
The prisoner in the dock
The digger in the hole
We're in this together...and ever...

Take another listen, you got some of the choruses in the wrong order.
Spinal Tap the best in music

That's Ric Parnell on drums, formerly of Atomic Rooster. A spectacular drummer.
He just passed away last month i think :(
...who also played Mick Shrimpton in the movie. Reincarnation does exist!
A fake band that is better than most bands. Certainly MORE entertaining and interesting.
Wow 😁 👏 Hail Nigel, Hail Spinal Tap!
if only Jimmy McGill could see his brother in this
I bet he's got no idea of his brothers double life.
2:58 beat it Socrates, this is the real philosophy!
GOOD stuff !!!!
Excellent 11/10

That Mr HorsePower guitar from Music Man, I looked to purchase one for so long...
I found one, but at an outrageous price, so I gave up...
I found one that sold for $9500. Only 25 were made, all signed by Nigel Tufnel.
This is perfection Mark! Cheers.
This song reminds me of ‘80s Rush.
The Majesty of Tap
Nigel wears out the whammy bar!
Anyone notice there are only people on the floor level. The upper is empty.
I'm in tears. Onions for tea.
0:54 a bit of picks for reserves :-)
Ric Parnell..... OmG
The barber takes a pole :)
Filmed July 7, 1992
1:40 😂😂😂😂
It's *very* cool that Mr Green is a rock n roller 😂
Anybody else notice Christopher Guest's mike stand literally covered with Guitar Pics?
And a pair of used knickers on Harry`s
