It's funny how you see an aerial dominance when it's pretty clear that this is about a deceptive attack and in no way an air combat victory. Even more funny is how you consider that every fan video should be of historical accuracy.
Haha you're right. It's because it's new for all of us. And you have no idea how crazy it goes during the shooting with people who can't keep up the formation, people crashing into each other, crashing on landing etc. We were all on teamspeak and it was really fun.
After helping out on your latest video, I have found a new level of respect for people that make these types of videos. The editors to the people that helped with the filming process.
Hi Haechi, you have a lot of talent and I have been very impressed by your videos, the story, the scenarios, the graphics, etc. If you need any help building a script, I was a cinema major and I am a Veteran of three wars (carrier aviation). I would be more than happy to answer your questions if you have any. Thank you again for all the effort, work and time you have put into producing these outstanding videos, Peace be with you, Ciao, L PS: I really appreciate that you are non-political/non-denominational in your productions, this gives a non-judgmental respect to all Veterans and victims of wars regardless of their political or national affiliation.
There were a few problems I had with this. 1) Where did this take place? The map used was New Guinea, but it could be taking the spot of another island. 2) If it was the Battle of New Guinea, the Corsair was barely in service by the end. 3) Corsairs were VERY RARELY used on carriers, especially until late war. They had too large an engine for the pilot to see for the precise carrier landings, and it had bad low speed characteristics. This was fixed with the later models, but that wasn't until late war. The rest of the time Marines used them for land operations.
Carriers would not be launching aircraft while sitting still. You needed the wind speed over the deck to launch aircraft. They should have been steaming at, at least 30 knots.
sorry for not being Haechi and trying to help you, it will not happen again from my side. I just thought "hey, that guy is waiting 5 months or longer with no answer, let's help him", but ok, I am sorry, I am just a dumb idiot with no experience in film-making and copyright after talking with lawyers and reading all those copyright-texts....
deupiner hey! Cam down! :/. What the hell? Maybe Haechi doesn't gives a fuck about copyright and doesn't monetize his videos, hence he doesn't cares, who knows? Only Haechi can answer my question. He doesn't even give credits on the descriptions so we really can't know. Obviously, i thank you for your help, damn, that's obvious! Also, i've been making videos for quite some time and it's not about buying the track legally, most artists/companies won't EVER give you permission, and youtube will strike your videos automatically even before the upload is ended lol. It's not that easy. For example the starting soundtrack in this video is taken from Shogun 2, and there is no way you get permission and can use that track in a monetized video.
For all of you raging Americans here... Lexington died pretty accurately. A torpedo hit caused aviation fuel vapors to leak throughout the ship and once they were set off the ship blew up. Only difference is that the remains of her stayed afloat in reality; they didn't here. So shut up about realism.
Michael Wild You really expect him to listen to you after you so casually criticize his video and don't even so much as apologize before launching into requests? The nerve of some people...
To be sincere, Haechi: this was a fiction how the Japanese would have like it to be, but in fact the roles were the opposite than those shown here in the video............yes, they would had like it to be so. The reality though was exactly the opposite......
Haechi, how come you didn't bother putting any links, mentions, or even credits to the music or musicians, `cause I wanna know what the music is called. And I have a growing tradition of listen music (like this and pamzerlied) while playing war thunder P.S. I'm not saying this in a shouty mood
Amazing ! very great job i like the sound track of shogun 2 its a good idea ! if you have a new project and if you need help i'm ok for help u. my name on warthunder its sergentGG
dear sir, am i even talking about IRL WW2? srsly u ppl need to see the topic before even commenting.. in-game, dear sir.. "in-game" in case you didn't see it, this video is a clip from the game, a fiction.. and why freedom fags showing much rage in this video lol i know that our people losing the war, and i didn't even give a fuck.. :v
Wow is this ever an absurd fantasy. By the time the F4U was in the war, the only attacks the Japanese were making were kamikaze. The Lex was sunk earlier in the war at Coral Sea, a battle in which one Japanese carrier was sunk and another badly damaged. What's more the Japanese air arm suffered very heavy losses at Coral Sea. Those losses meant that Shokaku and Zuikaku would not be available for Midway.
It wasn't the case to be historical ffs. It's FICTIONS. INVENTED FOR THE VIDEO! Damn it why Americans must be so stupid and not freaking get that sort of thing right in there head?
***** Biggest doesn't mean best. Just take a look at the place where that so called army was called to fight terrorism and others... Ho yeah, it's still a mess today. The had the biggest but for a long time wanted to stay alone, it's only because Japan attacked them they finally arrived in the war. Without that, they wouldn't have done shit. Far away from that "glorious savior". Since that savior wanted to let the rest of the world dealing with everything. England fought the Germans alone for a whole year with only minimal ressource and it's only because some american were smarter than the rest that they had support. And the Americans had there butt kicked multiple time despites being the "biggest army". Here, it's a fictionnal movie, made on a theme of the war, just like there is Fall of France or "17". There's really only americans to spit on anything that doens't make them the winners. You won't see English, French, Germans or Japaneses cry because there nation lost in a video. Only americans do that, thanks to there ego and there idea like there invincible. (Some event prooved real good that they couldn't get attacked on there own nation... Right? Riiiiiiight?)
First Lexington never had corsairs! And national insignia completely wrong for 42 navy plane. Also carriers never sailed so close. Yorktown was not sunk at Coral sea.For us Raging Americans Great job with the graphics! History little off.
fake fake there has never been a Japanese aerial dominance, except for pearl harbor (the Zero was the best Japanese aircraft, but the F4U Corsair was the best of the pacific) historical mistake ... fail videos

I`ve played 4 years.. well done

Good work. Nice effects. Great sound. Cant wait for the sequel :)
If I remember right, he was flying one of the Japanese bombers, then Corsairs, I think.
I believe that is something by the Yoshida Brothers, not sure which song exactly tho.

That was very fun to help fly in. :)
Hope to paticipate in the next one also.
Carriers would not be launching aircraft while sitting still. You needed the wind speed over the deck to launch aircraft. They should have been steaming at, at least 30 knots.
I love your soundtracks! another masterpiece m8! HAECHI FTW!!!!! forever
great video as usual well done
God Damn this is a beautiful game!! Lovely work Sphaxi... - Quinch
Just a question, you used all those copyright-protected soundtracks? How?
normally you buy the music legally, than you ask the artist/ company for permission and there you go.
deupiner Any chance having Haechi answering my question?
sorry for not being Haechi and trying to help you, it will not happen again from my side.

Fieel Using copywrited music on youtube when creating a new content falls under the rule of "fair use" as long as you do not sell that content.
that was fun, i will see you at the next one.
whats the music around 6minutes, thats pretty damn nice :)
I wanna help in the next one to!
The Lexington was sank at in the first carrier battle, This is in the allied offensive. This video is not close to historical at all
+Michael Wild Good cause that was not the point of the video. I've never made historically accurate shorts.
+Haechi k, And can you do a video about Hughie Edwards V.C.
+Haechi Or can you do one about the USS Enterprise when it got one of it's elevators blown off by a Kamikaze
Michael Wild You really expect him to listen to you after you so casually criticize his video and don't even so much as apologize before launching into requests? The nerve of some people...
What graphics setting is this; movie? It looks so good.
Its the Free cam

To be sincere, Haechi: this was a fiction how the Japanese would have like it to be, but in fact the roles were the opposite than those shown here in the video............yes, they would had like it to be so. The reality though was exactly the opposite......

Very well done. Too bad it was nothing more than a Japanese wet dream.
well he didnt this is a "historical accurate" video
It was a good video, but, it was not too historacal. The only reason I'm not calling it a dib shit is because u did a good job with the angles and all
It wasn't the case to be historical ffs.
It's FICTIONS. INVENTED FOR THE VIDEO!
