Tack för att du tackade Drew för de vänliga orden Calle :))
I'm hibernating until more känslan, Moore stoort and møøre møøse
Gotta be honest. Buster is sick on drums and I could argue that he is equally good at guitar as well. The pure talent in his playing is inspiring!
Buster is an interesting musician and killer at mixing... I have learned a lot from him and the bands he is a part of
Can we drop 500 likes for the final Vildhjarta video?🫡😞 …..
It's all good, I really like this small story about your interaction with buster on Instagram! Great reaction video man!
@@tylerdurden5593 ❤️🔥❤️🔥
May I suggest doing the Omnislash EP? It's available on RUclips (they never could get it on Spotify unfortunately). "Shiver" out of that EP is still one of my favourite track of theirs, and I think you'd like it too!
Buster is a god and Vildhjarta is the best band ever 🤘
I personally prefer the forte version, everything sounds more impactful in my brain.
I got more and more into Dimman the more ive listened.
The thing with the lyrics on Spotify is because they're synced with a program called musixmatch its mainly community driven so anybody could become a lyricist and input/sync lyrics. I went in and synced up all the songs on måsstaden before you listened to it but I haven't done this album yet 😂
You absolute legend!🤣 thank you bro 🙏🏻
Oh my god you're the one who did it? I remember being so annoyed with some mistakes before, thank you!

You dropped your crown man here you go.
This is my favorite album from Vildhjarta, love the darker thematics both instrumentally and lyrically. The bits of black metal influences leak in well too. Haardthall.
I couldnt listen to it for years because of how bad the mix was on the original. When forte version released it's become my favorite album over mastaaden
We thalling now
the iconic sound you were talking about is called a double stop. its when the same note is played on different strings. its almost like a chorus effect on the notes since they are the same but slightly different because of intonation and string tension
That's not what that sound is though. They do use double-stops quite often, but that specific sound is usually just playing high notes on the lower strings way up the fretboard. They achieve the "quack" character by just using some pretty intelligent EQing, potentially coil-split pickups (Calle has said he likes to use split coil for pretty much everything in the past) and some people have theorized whether they used a cocked wah (wah pedal at a fixed position) to do it as well.
Vildhjarta had 2 vocalists but 1 left and masstaden under vaten just has the 1 vocalist. Well the band were no more at one point so to get masstaden under vaten was a nice suprise.
Been waiting on this one. It’s another top tier Vildhjarta project. Can’t wait for whatever they put out next. Also, really nice interaction you had there. Congrats man
🤜🏼🤛🏼
I think this is Vildhjarta's grooviest album, though simultaneously their hardest to immediately latch onto, given the complexity and uniquely structured nature of their music. The significance of this remaster is a testament to the task it took to blend the sounds and layers of this album. It's an overall contrast that really lends to the album's replayability, and there seems to be new aspects to pick up on with every listen.
LOL that message from him. Great vid as always bro
❤️🔥❤️🔥
Idk what they're on about wih the thunderclap but I know some people myself included prefer the original dimman because the drums are more prominent during the clean section but as for the rest of their music I think the forte versions are a big improvement
Sick vid tho dude, thall.
❤️🔥
Yeah the original Dimman is better in the acoustic part but the ending riff is way better in forte (i mean, it's quite obvious since Forte versions were made to get the chonkiness back in anyway: they work very well in the heavy parts, aka literally everywhere else lol)
I actually listened to these albums in the same order you reacted to them. Under Vatten made me aware of them, then I went back to Masstaden (and according to Tidal listened to it about 40 times in one month lmao) and finally Thousands of Evils. Then the Forte versions came out and made them even better. I'd still love to see your thoughts on Humanity's Last Breath's self-titled, it has a lot more in common with Masstaden than Valde did, but all of those albums are great too. I feel like I've now been spoiled by Buster's production though, it perfectly suits the music imo.
The OG masstaden will always be top-tier
I found an old interview with Daniel Bergström himself when they released this EP. I will let you the link of the interview
"We went through a lot of personal issues this time around, very much because of the concepts we had chosen to dwell into, so I guess for some members of the band it’s a pretty personal chunk of music. We of course had our fair share of haardfests (with icelandic pronunciation) too." [...] "This time around we cut down a lot on the ambiences too, trying to keep things as sterile as possible" [...] "It doesn't stick to a red line like måsstaden did, like it has no story you follow. It’s more overworked ideas that got scaled down a lot, stripping things down to the core, as I mentioned before. The title 'thousands of evils' originates from a russian drink, but we don't really go into explaining the things we write about."
About "Dimman": "We never really count things out, I guess it’s just more inspiring to keep writing new things. The idea of having an acoustic song is one we’ve always had, for example, we have a lot of material like that we just haven't gotten around to using."

Regnar Bensin is my favorite track , but I honestly never got much into this EP before the forte version.
I hope to see you react to Nadir by Black Tongue someday.
Wow, my all-time favorite band!
You should give "stoort neer - en glad titel på en sorglig skiva" a listen. It's also the members of Vildhjarta, their side-project. But beware, you will need to buy or bring with you an extra pair of pants lol
Mist forstandet is my favorite song in this, the brutality of that song is unmatched by anything they released so far
This EP is crushingly good ! 🤘
Thanks for reading out my comment :) also you could react to their Omnislash EP in the meantime...there's also Calle's side project Stoor Neer.
Drew, Uneven Structure soon pls!
Feburuus
Yes. Their first album is really sick
Great video as always. You should give Humanity’s Last Breath’s self entitled album a listen. Definitely a different feel from Valdë, but still a phenomenal album that also got a remaster from Buster in 2020 and an absolute thall banger.
The vocals sound more aggressive because they had two vocalists back then. All of those raspy high vocals are from the vocalist that left the band
Definitely miss the back and forth vocals. The variety and energy on these albums is hard to top.
Now that you're done with Vildhjarta you should go and check out the other Humanity's Last Breath albums. All of them are amazing but my personal favorite after Välde would be Detestor. It's so fucking brutal but at the same time groovy and has some nasty ass riffs. If you do decide to check it out at some point you should go with the remixed version of course!
I'm glad the forte version is bringing more fans to the album, but damn the original's been my favourite for along while and I don't really get the (imo overblown) hate of the mix. The album fucking bangs. thall
Love you brother!!!!!
My man❤️🔥
I think this is their angriest album too
I see our Swedish boiz I cleek
I have a signed copy of thousands of evils from the only North American tour they did. Prized possession. I’ll never mosh so hard again in my life. No one will deserve it.
Great reaction dude
I suggest checking out rendezvous also from vildhjarta
Its from their OLD OLD stuff
I’m of the newer fan base that couldn’t really get into original versions of these albums because of the mixes.
These forte versions slap just as much as MUV
As someone who really likes the originals, came up on the sound when Vildhjarta just had some demo tracks... it's so good to hear their old stuff refined into more complete-sounding mixes. They deserved that treatment, for sure.
"someone said" :( anyways was glad to get your reaction and view on the best band I have evere heard.
and at my feet forever thall
Time for Stoort Neer?
as someone who's mastered the thall tone/production, it'd be a pleasure to hop on discord and show you the way. who knows, could make for a fun video ;)
Dude, i think you will enjoy Veil of Maya
Especially the Matriarch and False Idol albums. They also got many non-album singles after those
I give you my like🤗
not thall but has Drew checked out any Born of Osiris albums?

You should get on Stoort Neer next 🤘🏽
You must try out Indistinct

You need to check out harry mack, he will bring a good few subs to the channel

They released a new track
They WHAT?!
It's just 50 Seconds long though I'm sorry
@@DrewFortune97 named Kanslan i guess you're aware of it.
@@lifeisbeautiful7361 Pretty sure it's a teaser not a full track
@@tahbu yep, just a teaser
Lorna shore new album waiting room right here
Not as good as their other albums but it's still pretty good
The remaster of this album makes it listenable. And i almost like it more than mastaaden
24:24, drew literally had a cumrocket moment! This is how no fap movement people have to relapse.

The thing that makes me super sad is that Drew doesn't recognize clean guitar and ambient parts as music (and rather as fillers), or at least as something worth paying attention to. For me, the ending of Dimman is not even remotely as interesing as everything else in it, and yet, it was almost completely ignored by Drew in the "forte" version. To be fair, I didn't like Dimman very much back in the day too, but I see this tendency to ignore "non-active" parts in Drew's videos all the time. I mean, I can't tell to or make the man enjoy that he's not enjoying, but it makes me sad nonetheless.
Yeah best part of dimman is the accoustic
Bro im hoping they release another song like dimman in these new releases, whether its an album or most likely an EP, it would be so awesome to hear the acoustic style again, +ylva+ sounds like it leads into another song and the beginning sounds like the ending of another song, im so hype these new releases are unbelievable and im loving the almost uplifting sound with the ambient guitars creating this wicked dynamic.
Spelling is wrong in the title, just fyi
Good spot, thank you bro!
@@DrewFortune97 No problem man, I can speak some swedish so it kinda caught my eye!
@@toesuc yeah that name is such a mindfuck to English speaking countries lol, letters just thrown into a blender
Honestly, that comment about the dimman track being weak in the forte version, unfortunately I think that about the whole album. Feels like all of the low end got removed in forte
It's funny cause I feel the exact opposite, I hardly noticed the low end in the original mix at all by comparison.
@@necrosis07 lol I mean, I definitely notice and appreciate the bass and clarity of the production. How he totally reworked stuff, but the vibe and everything just sounds different in the guitars. Like, the riffs don’t sound as good to me
Original album is way better indeed. The forte one sounds way too overproduced, especially on the kickdrums
@@rustoleom and that's totally fair, the forte mixes for both albums are just more to my personal taste overall.
@@necrosis07 yea I get that, and that’s fair as well. Everyone’s ears and opinions are different, which is great cause I love discussing things. If everyone thought and felt the same, then life would be pretty boring lol
Unfortunate that he picked the forte version rather than the original
some people, including me, think all the forte versions sound better
@@kingnary9th688 I know
Gotta say, i think the Forte albums are miles away from the OG's. Too many beats, makes it sound computer generated rather than someone actually playing IMO. Either way, these guys are the tip of the metal spear
Same issue I have with Meshuggah for this band. Too repetitive, not enough melody. You like it is fair enough, acquired taste 👍
Idk what ears you have bro but this band is one of the *least* repetitive out there
@@josephrosenbaum3343 and actually very melodic tbh, melancholic, dreadful, angry, they do It all
