You guys nailed it. You showed the Enterprise in all her glory. I'm a big Trek nerd and have seen just about every video on the subject. But you've shown Enterprise in all of her beauty, elegance,and grandeur. It also occurred to me that there are whole sections of the Enterprise that we have never seen or heard of. This can be fertile ground for a lot of videos and stories. This also reinforces the thought that I was born in the wrong century.
One of the few flaws of the original series is that due to technology constraints at the time, it was nearly impossible to depict how honking big the Original Enterprise was. You've fixed that one in spectacular style.

A fitting tribute to the one that started all. I still remember going down the escalator at the Smithsonian and her being there at the bottom. I’m so grateful I was able to see her.

This is what it looks like when you treat the lady with the respect that she's earned. Clean, simple, and functional. Not gaudily lit up like a Christmas tree with superfluous bits and bobs poking out everywhere. Today's ships are made for pew pew. That's not what Star Fleet is about. This Enterprise looks ready to explore, ready to make first contact, ready to take me to the stars.
She's been treated right and brought home.
It looks sooo dimensional. Awe inspiring. Almost that feeling I had as a kid when I believed it'd be real one day. It's the spirit of that generation & our dreams that this reminds me of.

This is my baby with round nacelles. I had the Uss Enterprise model Back in the early 70's. I got a large model at Zellers for like 5 bucks. You think the movies when the Enterprise came above the clouds of titan was cool you should have been there when the Enterprise rounded the bathroom door as a space 1999 Eagle was devastating a planet. Mom finally said "enough plastic pieces everywhere". she asked me to throw the broken/fixed/broken/fixed models away. I did but i remember she wrapped her arms around me.

CBS should do the same for "Strange New Words" with the original constitution class and not rewriting history as they will.

The original is absolutly beautiful and you did a great job, animating it this way.
This was probably the best I've ever seen Kirk's 5 year mission version of her looking, the Refit's Aztec pattern and lighter colour hull plating really makes her look a lot more interesting, far better than that horrible abomination known as the JJprise, and while the Discoprise/Strange New Worlds Enterprise looks great, this is better to my eye.

Fan enhanced version of the USS Enterprise proves we do not need any redesigned constitution class (e.g. Kelvin Timeline, Discovery version, etc)!
I am so glad I found this video. Wonderful depiction of Kirk's Enterprise. If fans, like you can produce such great and loving creations, that look like and are still updates of TOS Enterprise then why can't or better yet won't the new shows do it? I have yet to watch them. I have only seen about 4 episodes of Discovery season 1 before I couldn't stomach any more. If they can't or won't get the Enterprise right (not to mention tech - uniforms - etc.), then to hell with them.
Did you watched the strange new worlds? That’s probably the best modern trek where it respects the original materials. Not to mention one of the best modernised enterprise, it’s gorgeous.
@@MekaRamen No. I have not. Like Discovery they base too much on Abrams' Star Trek Star Wars remake instead of the Menagerie or TOS. It's not Pike's Enterprise. It is about 100 meters too long for one thing. If they can't get the Enterprise right, to hell with them. In the Menagerie the bridge window, like Enterprise D's is in the ceiling not where the view screen is. The technology is wrong (Pike is supposed to be using lasers - phase lasers? Not phasers ,...). Their uniforms more reflect Abrams trek instead of Pike's or Kirk's pilot uniforms. When they reboot a series I don't generally have issues if a character's sex or race changes (Starbuck and Boomer from Battlestar Galactica for example), but Strange New Worlds is said to take place in the prime universe. If true, then how did Robert April become an American of African decent instead of a Caucasian from England? From what I have read, I get the feeling that the people behind Discovery and Worlds have only heard of about Trek in passing.
I think SNW is apart of Star Trek, but like Abrams universe, the Mirror universe, and Discovery they exist separate from the Prime universe.
If you want to see a Star Trek series that is written by people who have actually seen, who actually know, who actually understand, and who actually love Star Trek watch Lower Decks. IMHO It is the best Trek out there.
You have done well re-creating the original, and my favorite, Enterprise.
The only thing I have an issue with is there is something about how the surface appears that makes it look like plastic to me. This is meant as constructive criticism, not a complaint, or "Hey, you're doing it wrong." I don't know anything about creating computer generated images, so I don't know how to describe it. You probably know what I mean, though.
That being said, I love this, and I could watch it over and over, and I probably will.
No you are absolutely right, that came across my mind too, and it is probably due to the lightings.
I created heavy duty metal plating materials similar to those on the big oil tanker, the surface quality is accurate inside the low altitude atmospheric lighting and once it is brought up to space with limited ambient lights, it behave as it is now. The only way I know it behave as it should be is looking at both curvy nacelles and lower deck, when it is closer to the camera it looks like intended materials again. I guess familiar shapes on familiar material plays a big part.
@@MekaRamen Changes in lighting messes with stuff in real life, too. Just take fluorescents. Well, maybe leave them!

I would have liked to have seen it jump to warp speed at the end of the video, preferably with the same (or similar) type of visual effects as what was used for the warp jump scenes from "The Next Generation", "Deep Space Nine", "Voyager",& "Enterprise".

We need something better something like like the next generation there's a lot of people talking not animation too much animation people to mention this do it the old fashioned way like the Star Trek next generation I love it I love Star Trek don't get me wrong I saw the first one on when it first came out in some time ago when I was a kid the original series try something not too much animation by itself it doesn't get much intention I like when like when they have battles and they fight and that's kind of stuff like that the newer one which is called the it's all just lasers and computers and stuff like that it's too much later
