- I used Logitech MX Master 3S and MX Keys Mini for a week as my main input devices for programming and content creation. Love this keyboard and mouse combo and will keep it for traveling. I will keep using a mechanical keyboard in the office, but MX Keys is a great choice if you like low-profile keycaps.

The extra space the numpad took on my MX Keys is exactly why I exchanged it for the MX Keys mini. Loved the video!

I see a lot of people complaining about low polling rate and laggy scroll, especially upwards. Haven't made my mind yet, but that scroll wheel seems like a great feature.
I used the mouse for two weeks during the trips and for about 1,5 week at home. So far all is good and I didn't have any problems

Haha, right? I don't mind at all to have USB-C port in front of mouse, if I can use it wired.
Paldies par izsmeļošu un detalizētu video apskatu. P.s pats lietoju Mx Key + Mx3. Lieliska kombinācija. Citreiz gan palietoju mehānisko, bet tad sieva brēc lai beidzu trakot, visa māja jau skan😂. Tas ciparu bloks tomēr ir lieks lielajai versija🤷♂️. Tagad arī man gribas mazo versiju paņemt, jo šai Mx sērijai ir fantastisks typing experience 🤓
Jā, ciparu bloks Craft klaviatūrā kaitināja savādāk lieliska klaviatūra, tāpat kā Mini.
Es arī ikdienā mehāniskās klaviatūras lietoju, pārsvarā mājās esmu viens un esmu visus pieradinājis, nečīkst :)
I recommend you to try split ortholinear keyboard such as ergodox (or lily58 this one have less keys), after you get used to this type of keyboard, you will extremely productive in typing
lily58 looks very interesting, but I afraid I should learn proper typing on regular keyboard first :)
I bought and returned the mx master 3s in place of the mx master 3. The main issue was that the mx master 3s left and right click had a lot lower actuation force then the mx master 3. this meant that i would accidentally left and right click while using the mouse alot. As a result i had to start semi-hovering my fingers above the button instead of being able to rest them, therefore causing significant wrist pain. I would recommend most people to go with the mx master 3 instead.
Interesting. I do not see problem like that even using mouse daily, but I see how that may happen.
I really love MX Master 3 mouse, but as lefty, it is not comfortable to use mouse in right hand for me for longer period of time. Right now I using Logitech Lift lefty, but I missing that magnetic wheel :( Bought MX Keys minit month ago and it is amazing keyboard so far.
yeh, that is great that Logitech made lift for left hand as well, but seems that they have no plans to do that for MX Master.
But hey, when I got tennis elbow doctor suggested to switch mouse hands. She told that good to prevent RSI. So, you can use both and switch hands ;)
Thoughts on mx mini vs apple keyboard? I currently have apple and its fine the way it is. The mx mini I like their keys a bit better it’s curved and also the keyboard is slanted.
The downside I see is because its not completely flat its a bit more annoying to pack
Both are great keyboards and it is subjective choice. Strong plus for Logitech in my eyes is up to 3 device support. Even when I'm traveling I have at least two devices.
Answering Instagram DMs or comments with external keyboard even on iPhone is much better. Switching connected devices on regular keyboard is a pain.
Thanks for your review! I also recentlry switched to MX Master3. Feels good so far. Btw, do you use any Logitech software to adjust mouse buttons? I tried to play with it, and not sure if I have found a way to speed up my work with extra buttons. On the other hand, the mouse itself is pretty solid and I like the feeling of the wheel ))
One more thing regarding the keyboard. As you have a few keyboards, do you use any program keys? Like to create a new shortcut or create macroses?
I didn't play with any additional functionality for button even had in mind that could map video cutting functionality on them. Keyboard shortcuts are at the end of the fingerprints already, so I don't have real need to use extra buttons on mouse.
I have stream deck on my desk and using that for macros and shortcuts. Mostly for Twitch and RUclips live stream management.

Oh, that's a strugle to keep it white.
It is still usable and you can still see it in my regular Instagram posts, but it is not white anymore :(

But did you have problem when your macbook is restarted for example and you can’t type your password from mx mini keyboard? Is it connected at such situation?

Yep, mini version is so much better for my taste. I do not use numpad at all.

Lielisks pārskats, paldies! Vai 3S pelei nav nekādu problēmu ar skrolēšanu? Man ir MX master 3 versija, un visām šīm pelēm uz Mac datoriem skrolēšanas sensors švaki strādā. Pie vidēji ātras skrolēšanas viņš ķerās, vai pat vispār neskrolo, izskatīju visus forumus risinājuma nav, un pats logitech atzina ka ar M1 datoriem tā ir, vēlējos uzzināt vai tas ir labots 3S versijā?
Man ir vēl pāris Logitech peles. MX Master S2, MX Vertical, M 575, tām arī novēroju problēmu ar scroll pazušanu. Izslēdzo/ieslēdzot peli tas atkal strādā. MX Master 3S šo problēmu nenovēroju. Lietoju to nu jau pāris mēnešu, ne reizi nav scroll pazudis. Nezinu vai salabojuši jeb man kaut kā veicās, bet ir ok.

Yes, I like it better. K380 is a nice keyboard, but the round keys felt a bit weird, and if I tried to do proper 10-finger typing, it felt too small. MX Keys feels like a regular keyboard.
Interesting review, Aivars, thanks. The dual scroll wheels on the MX Master 3S are something I have to check out. I use a Logitech Ergo M575 trackball , and I've had my eye on the MX Keys Mini for a while. Ideally, I'd like the backlit MacBook Pro or Air keyboard as a separate device (with TouchID, as long as I'm dreaming), and the Mini looks to be fairly close.
Side scroll is not must have in day to day work, but when I editing videos it is so great to have it. I'm planning to get M575 for tests as well, but I doubt I will stick with it.
I do not miss touch ID on MX Mini keyboard at all. Macbook is right next to me in the setup and if you are wearing Apple Watch, that can be used for auth as well. If not my passion to mechanical keyboards, I would stick with MX Keys for everyday use. It is my favourite traveling keyboard, so place in the backpack is granted.

Yes, vertical or ball mouse are more ergonomic. I just like to have side scroll wheel in MX Master mouse

That is Timing app. It tracks used app and time automatically and generates reports.

It is bigger and more comfortable than k380, so yes, it is better imo.

I guess the only difference is in the colour. Anyways, I'm using it with my iPad and PC as well, that doesn't really matter.
@@AivarsMeijers Should be some differences because ‘for Mac’ is more expensive and they say it isn’t compatible with windows (on logi site). Also there is no logi dongle.

Fn key is not working on my Mac OS. How about your ?
I already gifted MX Keys to the subscriber and can't test them, but I can confirm that fn does nothing on MX Mechanical Mini. Strange, but I didn't notice this before.
