Thank you for this beautiful video of the Ducati GT 1000.I bought it in May 2022. It's an amazing Motorbike I confirm 👍. Greetings from Luxemburg, Europe 🇱🇺
Glad I found this video! Took me back to 2008 when I lived in San Diego. I loved riding my GT1000 around on that route. Very fun. The early twisty part always reminded me of the Bronx River/Sprain parkway in NYC.
@@fullfunk Well yes, but Ducati is not making any money from the second hand market. So from the collector's point of view, yea a welcome move, from Ducati's: bad decision. It's clear there is a market for this type of bike, there are a lot of de-faired custom 90's/00's 900SS bikes around.
8 years of riding in Southern California on a regular trains you pretty well in how to ride. Being able to maintain constant awareness of those that are around you is key. So glancing back to see if people are coming at you at a higher than normal speed while merging is a good thing. Ride safe bud.
Great looking bike and the sound reminds me of the 900ss I used to have but traded in on my Harley. I was afraid the Duc would kill me at my old age. Wish I had kept the Duc as a babysitter for the Harley. Nothing stirs the soul like a jaunt on a Duc.
1) Pause the video at 0:10 2) Open another tap/widow 3) Search on RUclips for ''Kavinsky Testarossa sebastian remix'' 4) Play it, then come back here and play this video too 5) Enjoy the ride.
Love that red. I've got a black '08 biposto. Damn near had to sell a kidney and a testicle to get it, but I managed. I have a ton more fun on my SC than I ever did on my S2R. Those shark pipes sound good too.
It does when you fully turn it, but just barely. I usually never lock out the steering unless I'm maneuvering it around while moving it in my garage. When I do that I just take it out a click so it doesn't hit.
A very sweet sound indeed, definitely not stock pipes....I love these bikes....I love all Ducatis, such craftsmanship which is just not found with most manufacturers today....the Europeans builds are they only manufacturers who still seem to hold craftsmanship as a high priority within their production paradigm. Someday, I will have the money to buy only European, Ducati, KTM, Triumph, BMW. Aprilia - until this day I will just have to make do with the mass produced Japanese machines, which although quick, just don;t have the build quality of their European counterparts.
Nicely done! Is it as uncomfortable as people say, or quite useable? Makes me miss my Ducati.. I know there is a GT1000 model that is supposed to be a little more day-to-day, have you come across that before?
It would be considered bad if I was glancing back while traffic was pretty heavy. However, in this example there was no one in front, and I knew that otherwise I wouldn't of been looking back, so I scanned behind me to check for fast approaching cars and any sort of "authority". If I had been looking back for a long period of time while not keeping tabs of what was going on in front of me I would understand where you are coming from. It may seem unsafe to you, but honestly it isn't a big deal.
I didn't say glancing back was bad, I said that glancing back that often was bad. If you can't assess the lanes behind you quickly, you're going to get a face full of what's in front. That's from experience mate, It's called 20 years riding experience in London. London. It's like California, but the road actually twists and we've got congestion that makes California look like a joke.
This is the way to do a bike video. Two GoPros and no music plus a great bike and an interesting drive. Very nice.
The greatest sound in the world, Ducati sound!!!
Great bike, wish you thousands of laps!!!

Talk about bad timing. Ducati discontinued this model right before Tron:Legacy, right when everyone started going crazy for them.
I've always liked old, sporty bikes but I must admit that I melted when I saw the Sport Classic in Tron.
UHPdriver Yep me too
actually that was a smart move now its hard to find one and its the same price as new in 2006 its a collectible bike

oh, okay...I'll have to give that a shot...thanks
I like this video and nice bike. My dream Ducati bike!! But about the mirrors, the way it's setup does it hit the gas tank when fully turned?
La Moto Que Siempre He Querido... :)
sounds awesome...what pipes do you have on that? what other mods?
what a machine.
It does when you fully turn it, but just barely. I usually never lock out the steering unless I'm maneuvering it around while moving it in my garage. When I do that I just take it out a click so it doesn't hit.
we should ride sometime I'll shred the I-5 with you. i have a red Triumph Thruxton R
Is that because of Tron? Damn that bike is gorgeous.
I like the bike. And the helmet detail ;)
It's a Shark Exhaust. Other mods: Storz Steering Damper, Ducati Performance ECU, S4R adjustable front forks, upgraded clutch slave cylinder, Speedy Moto dry clutch covers, and Fleda Tail. I'm probably missing something but that's about it.
The bike's fantastic but the real question is where did he get that jacket?
The Ducati sport 1000 is my favorite Ducati. I'm very sure other people don't like it but I can't seem to find any.

It's just a regular Arai Corsair V. I just put some vinyl on it.
I bought it for $6,500. Before there was a big demand for it.

Wow
In Sweden we have -8 Celsius :)
That's no good!! I guess we're very lucky. :-)
It has a Shark exhaust on it.

Bud, seriously, if you have to look behind you that much to make a decision, you need to get off the damn road before you eat a bumper.
