Great work man. Very methodical. You really make me kick myself for my organization skills. Any particular reason for the rebuild? I saw the coolant, was that issue predetermined or was this just a 'because' rebuild?
Samuel Biggs picked up this motor for $100. Cyl 2 and 3 had low compression from doing a compression test. We have a 00 CRV that has low compression in one cylinder. So I decided to use this motor to rebuild as a swap while the CRV is still running
@@MooreProjects as much as I dislike the b20 you gotta love the price for them. Absolutely amazing video btw. These are always great for keeping a community healthy and active.
Samuel Biggs for the price you can’t beat them. I could of picked up a JDM b20b for like $450 but I would rather do the work myself. I get more enjoyment out of it and know what I have in the end
macaeryk yes. I asked them to..... -micropolish the crankshaft -hone the cylinders -deck the head -valve job and install new valve stem seals(I supplied the stem seals) -pressure test the head -Hot tank all the parts(block, head, bolts)
Stay tuned for the Rebuild and swap!
SO UNDERRATED! Did my tear down within a few hours thanks to this video!
Nice video. You make it look so easy. I’ve heard oven cleaner does wonders on the degreasing of the engine. Keep up the great work

Would you mind explaining in detailed layman's terms what you asked the machine shop to do, and to which parts?
