Rebuilding the engine is necessary evil.. but, in the case of serious racing you should always have a backup engine or 2 and heads in case of some type of anomaly.. also Titanium valve springs.. I notice that you use assembly lube on all of it.. most people I know dont.. and that is another problem.. also using the plastigauge properly and removing the material after gauging it.. you sir are a perfectionist.. and when it comes to building honda motors.. every bit of perfection makes it that much better.. I Delivered Pizza in a bone stock CRX HF.. low man on the totem pole.. all I did to it was put a cold air intake.. had the 4 speed.. I loved the shit out of it.. How did you become so knowledgeable with rebuilding engines? You learned from others? Went to school/college? Read books then applied knowledge through trial and error? I'm very curious..
16:39 BRo I fuckin knew it!!! that sluggy clapped out crank hahaha. BAdass video!! I rebuilt my n/a b18c1 after a snapped t -belt, once I got the head from the machine shop (full valve job). Took 12 hours straight from dropping the head to coolant bled and first crank.
Breaking in the engine is a manufacturer recommended procedure to achieve best results (better compression, reducing oil consumption/contamination, improving gas mileage, extending life of rubber seals and gaskets by minimizing engine blow-by, etc.). Ideally, I would love to perform it if I had the time. Lot's of time...
I'm a new subscriber lot off good stuff in that engine love it let's get it 💪 I'm dealing with DA teggy that has a lot off oil consumption fix a lot off leak don't see oil at floor the exaust smoke went u accelerate for couple sec them stop and smell bad too do u have any idea what can be the issue ? It's a b18a eng and sorry if I bothering just want to have it ready like u did to your car
I used to take it slow for the first 1,500 miles until I got a chance to inspect the wear on cylinder walls after the engine failed. Turns-out that even after 1,500 miles I could still see 45-degree marks from my 400-grit hone. I since stopped doing it since it takes more than 1,500 miles to complete the break-in. I don't have the time, nor the patience for it. I don't mind adding some oil once in a while. The turbine makes up for the lost compensation. Excessive crank case pressure gets relived through the the valve cover port which is connected to my exhaust. A so called venturi effect that is achieved by welding a slash cut to the exhaust. For the diluted oil from the by-pass products, I simply change it every few hundred miles anyway.
I want that Car to V.S Cherry Bomb muffler vehicles in a damn race. That goes for people in Albany, Oregon. Who have done that to their cars and it's time for a show down. Perhaps. Although, my understanding was that block guards or in this case CSS would mainly prevent cylinder walk in open deck blocks. I doubt it would withstand the effects of detonation unless the block had also been sleeved. But even then, something else would give since the stronger the engine the more stress it'd be put under (potentially). Its all part of the game..

Anybody know where I can buy that valve compressor tool he used?
Ebay
Yep ebay it works great

Well done 👉🏼 just subbed to your channel. I’m working on a similar set up and also dc2 fanatic..
is it v-tec in the exhaust side too ??? :O
Don't know much about cars but, would you have to break in the engine before really pushing it or no, really curious on that??

Ideally, I would love to perform it if I had the time. Lot's of time...
Love the build but y didn’t you install a block guard of some sort
Didn't want to compromise the cooling. The benefits of a block guard were never convincing enough to me. My builds never experienced cylinder walks
Craftsman torque wrench and duralast sockets. wrd
👍👍👍
Gatta have it sleved for sure!!!
Wish you was my neighbor to help with my motor lol
Stock sleeves on the b18c? How much boost can you push it to with e85?
The block is b18b. Stock sleeves. I should be able to get another 100whp out of it on e85.

This is a real nigga right here. A machine!
At what power stock sleeves are cracked?
what turbo and preasure?
Бля только потом услышал русскую музыку, на какой мощности пернули гильзы?
It made 410whp/304tq on pump gas. Stock sleeves. 21 psi on Precision 3431E turbo. Гильза лопнула от нехватки топлива.
@@BuiltNoTboughTdc2 понял, спасибо
Did you not have to break that rebuilt engine in before racing?

Oh ok. Cool. I understand about having patience or lack there of when it comes to the break in process. Lol!!! Thanks for your reply and your honesty.
Had the same quetion lol
Whats the name of the jelly grease you usw to build the engine?
It's called engine assembly lube
What head ur using on that b18A1 bro
P72 (B18C1 GSR)
@@BuiltNoTboughTdc2 thanks bro
Great, whats the song at 6:51
Каспийский груз - Платье
How long did that motor last with no break in time
It runs like a champ, still
Wow. Thanks for the update. Gotta sub this seems great
Built right 👍 mad respect ..
The only thing that "breaks in" in a Honda engine is seating the piston rings. Which happens almost right away under load.
EG6Specialist I agree just decelerating each gear a few times and good to go I think.
How much were the parts?
$19,000 That includes all the parts currently installed (cage, suspension, turbo, transmission, wheels etc.).
i think the solution to every problem is to LS swap it to brother.
Why this recommended to me? Lol
Wtf! No engine stand? You need the right tools for build. Anyway nice builds.

stock LMAs. eeek. there is a reason why K series uses spring style.
No CSS?

@@BuiltNoTboughTdc2 cylinder support system. It's like a block guard but precision machined and installed so it actually works. Very common.
@@FroztiProductions Good to know

You didnt put the gasket for the oil pick up tube to the oil pump.
I didn't capture every single moment during the rebuild. 4:00-4:06 shows the gasket already installed.

If you look closely, it’s there.
No remappinh after the rebuild, you are mad!
all the new parts you bought could you make a list of where you bought them? maybe you could pass it to me via gmail
All parts were purchased on Ebay from authorized dealers
No block guard is the culprit

1:37 looks like a crack in the block
No, that's just how cast blocks look inside.
