What are you stocking up on this Winter in your food pantry? Also Do you stock shelf stable milk and do you have a favorite brand? As always thank you for sharing your thoughts!
The sausage breakfast mash is awesome, just sayin. I just get the Member's Mark powdered milk, I use it all time, more self stable than milk in cartons.
I have been filling in gaps and restocking after all the cooking and baking at Thanksgiving. I do have a little shelf stable milk, but not much. It’s pricey here, but I had no idea Dollar Tree had it. I will definitely go looking very soon. Thanks for the tip.
@@1Melody1963 My pleasure 😁💛
I'm stocking up on canned keystone meats, lots of canned vegetables, flour, sugar, syrup, honey, pancake mix, cornmeal, auguson farms #10 cans and a bunch of mountain house #10 cans, cans of propane & butane. I'm dehydrating mushrooms, celery, ginger and Bell peppers and many more things
I absolutely LOVE sardines in mustard sauce and buy a case at a time. I also tried the breakfast sausage hash and was not impressed. I'll stick to the corned beef hash. Cafe Bustelo coffee is awesome and I have 6 bricks put back. Thanks for sharing this video. You have given me a few suggestions on what else I can get to stockpile.
My grandmother lived through the depression and other hard times as a young woman. I have tried to get as much information from her while she is still with us. One thing I remember her telling me was evaporated milk was a treat for her and her siblings. Since then, I have always kept a few cases in rotation.
That's a really great story, thank you for sharing. Folks that lived through situations like that have great knowledge. 😁🙏
When I was young we would occasionally visit my aunt Dolly who had a poultry farm and she would make us a meal and I was amazed when she got a can of carnation milk and whipped it up like cream, it tasted great, there were 10 of us so my mother would take bread and other food so we could have a sandwich and a drink. Both aunt Dolly and my mother were young mothers in the 2nd world war. Most of my siblings have passed away and I treasure these happy times and I always stock tinned milk 😊
The shelf stable milk from Dollar Tree is amazing !! We have been using it for about 2 years and I love the convenience!!
I was absolutely delighted with it 😁
They even have the almond and oat milks if you can't have dairy. That milk is at least $3 in other stores
You can make evaporated milk using your powdered milk. Google the recipe for it.
We love this milk. So Handy. Our store can’t keep it so I went on line to Dollar Tree and ordered 2 cases. They will send it to your store for free and you can pick it up there.
@@suekoons7487 seen that on Rose Red
Cafe Bustelo is at my Dollar Tree for only $1.25. 🥰
That's a really great deal! 🥳
I live way up North grits and eggs and bacon with a biscuit I was brought up on that that is good food
Absolutely delicious 😁
Just did my last trip for the winter to the store, ready to lay low for the cold months. The Dollar Tree milk is amazing, I keep around 70 on hand, it lasts well past Best Buy Date
That is awesome! Thank you for sharing 😁🙏
I love that milk too 😋
I am focusing on learning how to make nutrient dense and clean food in a modern pioneer kitchen (excellent channel is Marys Nest). Just make bone broth from turkey carcass! If you consume anti inflammatory rich foods they are also anti cancer!
Every year my wife makes Turkey bone broth every year, love it. Funny enough her channel always pops on after my videos. I'll have to check her out. 😁
Mary’s Nest is an excellent teacher ❤
When I first got married my husband was stationed in virginia. There was a restaurant across the street from our apartment that off course served grits. I had never had them but pregnant me loved them and I had them every day
Great story 😁💛
As far as the shelf stable milk goes, I like the box milk from DT. My local DT has been out of the shelf stable milk for months now. I also like to keep cans of evaporated milk too. They make the instant mashed potatoes taste less like they came out of a box/bag. They're also great for in your coffee when you run out of half & half.
My pops uses the evap milk for his coffee 😁👍
@@GreyManPrepping I use can milk in my coffee as well.
Have you tried ordering it online? It will ship to the store, (free for you), and will come in when the store receives their freight truck. If the only option is to pay shipping to your home, the distribution center is out of stock so keep checking back. It will eventually come in and give you the free ship to store option.
Costco is selling Maple Flavored SPAM 4 packs for $7.99 ( $3.00 off). I have been buying two 4 packs every time I go to Costco. I can always soak them in water to lessen the maple flavor. I also buy the shelf stable Yan Kim Chinese Sausage and the Chinese pork char shir. It has a three year shelf life. I have 12 packs in freezer.
I found a whole seller of 50 pound of bulk TVP for $100.00. I know TVP is not the best but I can't be choosy when hungry. It's cheaper than 6 #10 cans and I use the vacuum seal bags and they are fine.
Just my two cents. Thank you for video^^
That is a great deal on the TVP 😁👍
That TVP will make about 100,000 meals. It goes a long way. It is good in chili. The chili tastes much better if you wait until the next day to eat it.
Oooh that is a good price on the Maple spam. As a new flavor I dont see it too often. I have to look for the shelf stable sausage and pork. Especially the pork for my noodle bowls. Hadnt even thought of shelf stable options. Now I am hungry, haha.
TVP is great (for me). I use the crumbles to greatly stretch ground beef or ground turkey. Same texture. I will usually add a little beef or chicken broth to it. I use other TVP forms as well, but the crumbles seem to fit my needs most. You got a very good price. I pay that much for 25 lbs. I dont use it all the time, but I am very pleased to have it in my pantry.
Can't believe you didn't know about the Dollar Tree milk. I've been buying it for 5 plus years. I hate milk but actually like this shelf stable milk and keep about 24 cartons at all times. It's the only milk I buy. Love the haul, Grey. I've got to pick up some Sauer Kraut this week and more Evaporated milk and then we're set. RoseRed Homestead had a cool video on making cheese from powdered milk so I'm going to try that soon. Blessings.🤗
You could have told me lol 😆 and let me know how that works out, very curious 👀 God bless JT 🙏💛
Instant dry powered milk 🥛 is great too!
@@hrhtreeoflife4815 I'm a redundant person lol powdered milk, shelf-stable milk, and canned milk. I figure outside of drinking you can use it for baking as well as a few other uses. 😁👍
2 tablespoons of powdered milk is great in a home made loaf (made with 1lb of flour). Adds vitamins as well as flavour, too.
I always have shelf stable milk on hand. My husband drinks milk with his meals. If we get snowed in I know he will have his milk to drink. Great haul. Gotta keep the family happy. God Bless you and your family Grey. 🙏 ❤️ 🙏
Absolutely! And God bless you & the family as well Linda 😁🙏💛
Im drinking Dollar Tree milk over a year past it's best buy date. Perfect solution for a single person.
@@KimsKluckers Thank you Kim for sharing your experience with the DT milk 😁👍
Michigander here! I love grits fixed any way and so do my chickens and dogs. I caught a deal on grits at the Amish store that were "expired" for only 25¢ and 50¢ so of course I bought them all. Yummy😋❣️😋
Awesome find! 😁
Love grits with butter & cheese !!!
Yes! 😁
I use a quart of powdered milk and mix with the shelf stabled milk. Is exalent and takes the skim taste away from the powdered milk 😊
Great tip, thank you 😁👍
Quaker grits 3-5 lb bags 8$ at SAM'S...grandbabies love them
Nice deal 😎👍
I’ve had the mackerel before and I made the cakes/burgers with mashed potatoes and breaded and cooked it in a skillet. They were very good and not super fishy.
I stock up on Evaporated milk for macaroni and cheese and many other things!
Sounds great! 😁💛
Yes the milk is great! I work for DT and if you can't find it in the store, you can order it online, 12 in a case. It should ship to the store, (free for you). It will come in when the store gets their freight truck. If it doesn't give the free shipping option and wants to charge shipping to your home, it means the distribution center is out. Keep checking back. It should eventually come back in stock and allow free shipping to the store.
Thanks for the info! I truly appreciate it! 🙏
What day do you all get your trucks in and how long does it usually take to stock the floor?
I love their egg rolls.
@@missreynolds3637 Each store is different so check with the managers at your store. The stores in my area get delivered on Monday and come out of a DC in Missouri. I know there's also a DC in Illinois. After the holidays, (we're crazy busy right now), strike up a friendly conversation with a manager and hopefully they will take the time to help and answer your questions.
I will say, I have had problems getting items delivered for free to my store. I tried to have a case of the stackable planters delivered for free to 2 different local stores. Both times they were marked as delivered but in reality they had vanished. A manager told me that their district manager distributes everything on the truck to the stores, regardless of whether it is supposed to be a delivery for a customer. DT refunded me but it was a colossal waste of time.
Yes i have condensed milk in my prepper pantry
Thanks Viv 🙏💛😁
The pension simply doesn't go as far as it used to. Frugal living is "a norm" when "shopping". Unfortunately too many pensioners didn't prepare for tough times, those that "did", all too often did so with a bit of cash tucked away, thinking that fiat currency will always be able to get them what they want (need).
Good point brother 🤘
I use those small instant potato packages as a base for my hearty potato soup. You can mix the flavors. I've been buying their box milk for several years. YES, I love grits, mixed with cheese, real bacon pieces and lots of butter, but my favorite way is Shrimp & Grits. The DT canned collard greens are very tasty.
Thanks Grey for showing us your haul.
Remember y'all to Pray, Plan, Prep.
Great idea! Thanks JRC! God bless🙏💛
THKS
My pleasure 😁👍
My pleasure 😁👍
Keep an eye on the shelf stable milk...I've had some go bad before the exp date. And know it'll make great HM yogurt but doesn't cut it for HM farmer's cheese. Great vid GM, TYVM! 😃👍
Thank you as well for the tips 😁🙏
Just filling in the basics for our pantry after rotating and using alot of food while working on repairs.
Rotation is key brother 👍
Love Dollar Tree box milk and almond milk. DT Prices are going up soon to $1.50. So stock up!
I keep hearing that as well. I'll have to do more stocking up 😁
Love the DT milk Grey
Yes Sir 😁🤘
I, too, am OCD. My pantry is arranged the way you want to do yours. It makes it so much easier to see what you're low on.
Thanks Brenda, Im so glad I'm not the only one 🤣🙏
I just made a trip to Winn Dixie this week. I bought some mackeral because it was cheaper than salmon. I make mackeral patties ( same as salmon patties) for sandwiches.
Sardines I just mash them up ( sometimes with a little mustard) and eat with crackers.
I've never seen the breakfast hash, but have seen it in other hauls.
I can eat grits as long as there is cheese or shrimp included ... and I am a Southern gal, born and raised. I just never acquired a taste for plain grits.
Yhis summer, I bought mandarin oranges 🍊 and pineapples 🍍 on sale and canned them. The other day I found a good price on pineapples and bought 3 to can
They have them on sale again this week, so may get a few more.😋
I have not found the whole milk at my Dollar Tree, only the 1%, and I'd just as soon drink water than that😊. The only thing keeping me from ordering it is not knowing what the BBD is. Although, I opened a carton of Gossner Farms milk last week with a BBD 2022 and it tasted fine. I have a couple of 2021 that I'm going to check, but it sounds a little "chunky" when I shake it.😂
Yeah, chunky milk is not good lol 😆 I usually do cheese, bacon, and butter in my grits or have them with my sunny-side-up eggs 💛
I have powdered, but I should grab some of the shelf-stable milk! 👍
It's nice to have as it's ready to go, in case water is at a commodity. 😁
Grey Man I'm a grits fan some of the best grits that I've had was with extra extra sharp cheddar cheese some nutmeg and butter with fried fish and shrimp. The nutmegs the most enhancing spice to bring out the flavor of good cheese I use that macaroni and cheese scalloped potatoes anything with a cheese sauce that you use extra sharp cheddar cheese the stronger the cheese the better enjoy God bless you and yours God bless our military and veterans
Thank you and I'll have to try using some nutmeg! God bless you as well 😁🙏
@@GreyManPrepping you will be amazed at the difference your grits little taste using the nutmeg and butter and cheese enjoy thank you
The dollar tree milk is great. The longer it’s stored the milk solids will start to stick together causing small clumps. Not like spoiled/curdled milk, just small blobs of milk solids. When this happens I shake well and run it through a fine mesh strainer before drinking.
Fresh store-brand milk where I am is close to $5/gallon so it’s not costing any more to purchase in a form that is shelf stable. We still drink fresh most of the time but I appreciate having the backup on the pantry shelf for those times we run out of fresh.
Their shelf stable nut milk alternatives aren’t bad either. Making smoothies, chia pudding, etc with the nut milk provides a low carb/low calorie option.
Thank you, Christen, for sharing this additional information. I truly enjoy reading comments that add value to the content in the video. Have a wonderful weekend 😁🙏💛
The evoo on the sardine tin is Extra Virgin Olive Oil...Incase no one has mentioned it yet
Thank you 😁👍
Canning my farm raised meats, also I do purchase shelves staple milk,as well as Hoosier powdered Whole Milk
Sounds great!
Just tried that Coffee.. It's delicious 😏
It really is! 😁☕
Gray, you don't talk too much, and even if you do. Isn't that why we are here? I enjoy your informative style. Thank you for the milk. I am going to make a point to pick some up. I have some from here to their sale, but to be honest, I haven't even tried any. I just stock it, and powdered milk is long-term storage. So I haven't tried it either. I know I'm guilty of stocking some things I don't use. Long-term and bartering, I give a pass on. As for the sales, I stock up on this time of year. Stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, tea, coffee, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and all the good sales on dry goods. This time of year with how dry it is. I feel more comfortable packing up deep storage dry goods.
Thank you brother 😁🙏
If you are a fan of canned asparagus, consider making asparagus soup. It’s delicious.
Thank you for the great idea 😁🙏
You can crush up the sardines and use them in soups and still get the nutrition without eating them raw. Canned sardines are a nutritional powerhouse brother, Not only are they an excellent source of protein, B12, vitamin D& calcium, but they're also a good source of iron!
Awesome information my friend thank you 🙏
I live in the country and love that milk. That's all I use now. I have noticed that it is not good in coffee. Still have to have my half and half for my coffee.
I usually use heavy cream in my coffee it's rich and gives it a bit of sweetness as I don't use sugar
@@GreyManPrepping I also use heavy cream for coffee and chocolate
I also use the shelf stable milk in the local giving pantry, a wonderful product. Grits.... Sweet or Savory? There's only one answer 😂
🤣🤣 I've had both lol I lean towards savory 👀 😎
That was a really good food haul. First, I am a lifelong New Yorker, spent most of my life living and working in the city. Retired 10 years ago to the boonies of New York State (halfway to Canada). I first had grits back in either 1980/81 on a visit to Washington, DC. Love them with butter and a little whole milk. I 'm Sicilian so I do love my fish. I keep a lot of cans of sardines in my prepper pantry (both in oil and tomato sauce). I also love Cafe Bustelo, that is my first cup of coffee every day. I keep a good supply of that in my pantry. I also stock up on powdered milk, I have both low fat and whole.
Thank you! My mother's side of the family was Sicilian and my pops was Cuban. My two oldest sons are Niko & Gino 😁 I truly appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment. Have a wonderful evening. 💛
Good deal on the milk. All was a good deal.
Thank you Sandra 😁💛
That milk actually taste pretty good. I've been experimenting with some stuff I've stocked but haven't tried. So far, so good. Thankfully, we are not picky eaters. Next, it's to see how cheap I can prepare meals.
Sounds great! I do a lot of experimenting myself 😁💛
@GreyManPrepping dinner tonight for 2 roughly $1.50 lol. I think I can do better.
Sardines, anchovies in pasta are fantastic
I grew up poor and we had an acre garden. Got a free butchered cow every year. And put up 75 to 80% of everything that went on the table.
We called this life.
I get canned goods. On sale or from a free pantry. The whole point is when you don't drive and can only get what you can carry in a single trip or ride the bus an hour to an hour and a half just to get there and back you always stockup for bad weather. And in a food desert where power outtages are common its easy to remember doing this as a child.
I just switched from home canned to tinned food. Also got water in case of frozen pipes and non food items like a -20 sleeping bag.
We deal with a lot of power outages in my area of Florida as well. I learned a big lesson about 15-16 years ago when we got hit by 3 tropical systems back to back, some folks didn't have power for over a month. I feel it's better to have and not need it than to not have it and need it. 😁👍
Grey! You need to buy real grits. I buy the Bobs Red Mill online and they are soooo much better than Quaker. You should try them! I use chicken broth and milk and butter and cheese or cream cheese, of course and they are so good! ❤
Thanks for the tip and sounds delicious 😁💛
Bobs Red Mill brand is high quality clean food!
@vivb.7161 yes, exactly! 💯
Great haul. I do have the shelf stable milk. Last year it came in handy when our electricity went out with a house full of company. They were able to have cereal and milk for breakfast. I also keep evaporated milk on hand for a crock pot macaroni and cheese recipe that my grandchildren love.
Great idea!! Sue 😁🙏
🎉❤😊whew! 😅
I feel u about the redo of specific cans 28:12 💯😩🤦🏾♀️
Good afternoon! Hope you all are doing great.
At work but enjoying the day as best as I can 😁
You can make your own evaporated milk from your powdered milk. Watch rosered homestead or Mary’s nest for recipe
Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks Grey. Much Love ❤
My pleasure Jan, 💛 I'll be emailing you this weekend 😁
I'm an Okie grandma and love me some grits. The box milk is all I buy and have for years. Thank you Gray.
My pleasure, Hope you have a very Merry Christmas 🎄😊🙏
Thank you for the great information. I'm glad to know that canned food can last indefinitely if properly stored. I'm from the north originally, and I don't like grits or sardines.
You are so welcome! 😁💛
I never knew about the shelf stable milk! Guess I'll just have to make a trip to the Dollar Tree!
I was very happy to finally find it and was pleased with the taste as well 😁
I take notes and finally got my pantry stocked. Medications and house hold products well stocked.
That's great to hear! 😁🙏
New England here! We grew up with oatmeal, Cream of Wheat, and cornmeal mush. No grits, though.
When I lived in Michigan for a few years Grits were a mystery to most folks, Oatmeal was the go-to. When I was about 16 I did eat a lot of apple cinnamon oatmeal 😂
I love the Dollar Tree shelf stable milk. I store the milk in sterlite contains, not directly on a shelf, because mice can chew through the carton.Just a heads up!
That's actually a really good idea, thank you for sharing that information 😁👍
Grey, I know were to come for breakfast.Ilove me some grits and eggs.LOL
Roger that brother 🤣🤘
I feed the sardines & mackerel to my dogs. They love them.
I'll have to see of the pup will give them ago 😁👍
@@GreyManPreppingMy holistic vet swears by sardines for all pets.
@@dakotahays2836 Wow very interesting, thank you.
I buy the organic Annies brand of mac & cheese. I get them for $1.00 each on sale.
That's a great deal for organic mac n cheese 👍
@GreyManPrepping I only buy organic food. What they are doing to/putting in our food is criminal. Even organic is questionable with everything raining down on it but you have a better chance. Plus you can pronounce all the ingredients & there's nothing hidden in it unlike conventional fake food.
Bacon bits in cheesy grits and eggs. YUuuMMayyyyy lol
Yummy! 😁
Nice video Brother! Being prepared for winter is essential. Snow and ice can be like a prison for many days. All the best to you and yours.
Thanks my friends! Stay safe 🤘
We've been prepping for years. Recently my husband's dietary needs changed to low fat/low salt. Now I am having to reconsider some things for him. Its a learning journey!
It absolutely is, as we age our dietary restrictions can play a role in our pantries. It's an always-evolving environment. 😊
You can make a peach cobbler out of some of those peaches
Now that sounds like a plan 👀
Here in the UK tinned (canned) mackerel is a store cupboard staple. We get it in brine, olive oil, sunflower oil, and various sauces like tomato, mustard and korma. It is absolutely delicious!! In my family, we love it on hot buttered toast. So yummy, and so good for the body. I'd recommend anyone to get a stock of that in your pantries.
Thanks so much for sharing and I agree very tasty and full of good nutrition 😁👍
Dollar Tree just opened in the little village by me. Happy that I will be able to be able to shop DT on a regular basis.
That's great to hear 😁🙏
Im from California and never ate grits until I married my husband who was from So. Carolina. He taught me how to cook grits. I like grits and fish and also grits with bacon and eggs.
That is awesome! Love my fish & grits 😊
nice haul
Thank you 😁🙏
Thanks, Grey.😊 Very nice pantry!
My pleasure & thank you 😁🙏
I must be a Southerner at heart lol. I grew up in Washington and Nor Cal, and I LOVE grits.
Awesome! Grits for me are a must lol 😆
We didn’t even have a storm, but we had a power outage this morning for a few hours. 1/24
Here in Florida, we get these weird power outages all the time especially if the wind blows above 25 mph. Stay safe! 🙏
I am from a border state (Missouri) and I learned to absolutely love grits. 😊
Yes! Another person on the pro grits lol 😆 👍
We stock sardines, canned makrel, crab, clams, salmon and tuna. Also stock evaporated milk for baking
I was thinking about crab meat, how is your experience with it, and do you have a preferred brand? Thank you
Sardines in Mustard Sause is Amazing. Love It.
I'll have to give that a taste, thank you for the suggestion 😁👍
It's 12/5/23 @ 11:00 p.m. Pacific time. I'm watching your channel for the first time. I am eating GRITS! I was hungry before bed and for the last 2 days I've been wanting them so bad. I'm a west coaster all my life but once I found Grits... a game changer. 😊
Nice 😂 Well thank you for the visit! Having some grits this morning myself 🌞
My husband found a can of that mackerel at Walmart. I'm intrigued too!
Please let me know your thoughts when you try it 😁👍
Im so thankful i yave a freezer now because my chicken would fo bad in 3 days in the fridge.
Having a deep freezer is definitely nice to have. I store all my meats in mine 😁
We love Grits, and my dad wanted them for breakfast every day. He was Ky and we live in Ohio! We buy Sardines mustard and lemon, and oil. We don't BUY any canned vegetables from Aldi. They are overcooked and mushy. Once I heat them , they are nasty. We do like Family General vegetables, and they go on sale 2 or 3 for $1.00. You have a wonderful pantry. I repack my food in large Mason jars with oxygen packets. Thank you for sharing this information. The shelve milk makes wonderful country milk gravy 😋.
Had me some grits this morning 🌞 Hope you had a Merry Christmas 🎄
I love grits and eggs. Grew up eating grits.
Same here, it's been a staple in my family since I can rendmber and I'm old 🤣👍
California girl with Tennessee and Oklahoma roots…grits are a staple at our house!
Awesome & thank you for sharing 😊
The Mayos have got a lot more expensive. So I learned to make my own. I use a stick blender. If your mix doesn't turn to mayo add an extra egg. Some eggs are just to small. And need that one extra to make the Mayo form.
Good to know 😊👍
I order the milk by the case at Dollar Tree and have it delivered to the store for free. They email you when it is ready to be picked up. 🥛
I recently found this out and have been ordering it this way since. I like to buy bulk and this seems to work out well for me. 😁
I use the Dollar Tree shelf milk for anything except drinking plain. It’s lacking in something in taste by itself, but you’d never know the difference on cereal, in a smoothie, or for cooking. I always keep it for back up, you just never know when you’ll run out. I stock the almond milk from dollar tree for overnight oats and some kinds of cereal. I also love evaporated milk in mashed potatoes.
Thank you Amy for sharing 😁
🔥🔥🔥🔥
We grew up eating mackerel patties. Remove all the big bones. Smaller bones are fine to eat. Mix it with egg and corn meal or bread crumbs, some mayo, salt, Pepper, onion and bell pepper. Make into patties and fry them. They are good. We never ate ours on buns.
Sounds great! 😁
If someone says you talk too much, didn't watch you and Alaska pepper! LOL! Rudy's great too
🤣🤣 great point lol
I keep raisins, peaches, applesauce, apple pie filling and pinepple. Takes care of most things for cooking.😊
Thanks for sharing!!
Evening Grey. I always buy boxed shelf stable milk for her in town, my daughter and I don't use much milk and we have gotten to like our goats milk when out at our country place. We have been getting some good success on dehydrating the goats milk, but wish we had a freeze-dryer....lol, that is low on my list on my 5 million page todo list. 😉
I have that list as well 🤣👍
Great haul...Just a tip for you from my own experience...See how your buckets fit on top of each other? Put a thin board on the top of each row befre stacking the next bucket on top. The weight, in time will crush the lid of the lower bucket, compromisiing the seal of the bucket. Plus, it all could fall over.
Great tip! We are planning on updating and doing a bit more organizing of the pantry late this month, it may be a bit overkill but we have some 1/4 inch × 6 inch × 4 ft boards we are going to use for that exact purpose. Again thank you for the suggestion 😁🙏
I thought that when you use buckets to store your food in it, they should be food grade buckets. Please double check your blue buckets from Lowe’s. If they are not food safe please switch your food to the white food grade ones. Thanks for doing these videos. I appreciate you!
I truly appreciate your concern 😊🙏 but yes the Lowes buckets are food grade made with HDPE resin and surprisingly made here in the USA! The easiest way to tell if buckets are food grade is to look at the bucket itself and see if it's printed with the "number 2" which is made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). These products are the best for long-term food storage as it is one of the most stable and inert forms of plastic. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas 🎄 🙏
My life has changed unexpectedly this month and continuing for the next few months. My food storage is helping us get by. Even my medical supplies. I enjoyed the ideas of the milk, olives, instant potatoes.
Well I hope things truly get better soon Shawnee 🙏💛
I'm in Ohio, but my whole family is from Louisiana - I LOVE grits & (dippy) eggs!
Awesome! Grits for the win! 😁
I keep several gallons worth of Dollar Tree milk in my pantry at all times.
Smart practice, I've realized since stocking shelf-stable milk the family moves through it much faster. I plan on buying 24 packs monthly and maybe double up on it every other month to keep back stock. 😁
Love grits I'm in OBX NC
Awesome & thank you! 😁
Almost bailed on video bc took so long to get on topic but glad I stuck around
Thanks Mike, I appreciate you taking a gamble, I have a tendency to ramble a bit, I just have so much info I like to share. Have a great evening! 😁👍

If you have powdered milk, you can make evaporated and sweetened condensed milk.
Thank you for the tip Sue 😊🙏

GLAD I won't have to eat with you during a SHTF. I would STARVE.
All my favorite things! Yum!
Thanks for the video, Grey! I just found out that my electric company is going to have blackouts this winter. So I'm watching this again because my memory is so bad , 😅, also to get some ideas of what I might need to prepare.
Oh wow really! Please stay safe. God bless 🙏💛
I’m new and really liked your channel. You’re real and not trying to scare the hell out of me. Sometimes channels are warning we’re going to die. Well, I’ve probably got a 1 and a half year pantry by buying the sales of food we actually eat. Thanks. Love 💕 and Hugs. ❤❤❤
Well if I haven't said it yet Welcome to the channel Linda 😁💛 and thank you for the feedback. My goal is to share my journey and the things I've learned or am learning with others in hopes that more folks will understand the benefits of emergency preparedness & self sufficiency. Hope you have a wonderful day 🙏
Dry-cured olives are good for prepping. They come in both jars and plastic packs.
I'll definitely look into that, thank you 😁🤘
