This is a prime example of how the system failed this young girl at heart. She has been in fight or flight mode most of her life and where she is in her life today, is not her fault. I wish I could go back in time and be her social worker, I would have been her advocate and assisted in lifting her up. Whoever this social worker is, I hope she is no longer practicing. All ethical boundaries off the table. I want to hug this woman nurture her back to good mental health or maybe support her on her journey to being and feeling free and slap the shit out of the whole system that failed her. My heart aches for her. Stay strong beautiful black butterfly 🦋

A stupid irresponsible one. Don't have babies unless you can look after them and then people like you turn around and blame The system.

My parents fostered over 200 children and teens. My parents just wanted to heal them and for them to find their worth. They went to every graduation, they went to every appointment, they stayed up for days if needed to just be there. They didn’t force anyone to talk as my dad said, “sometimes, it’s enough to know that there is just another person in that room rooting for you. No words need to be spoken by me. They just know I’m there” my dad was a judge and we sadly lost him 14 years ago and the world lost a great man. My mum, still is everyone’s mum and now everyone’s grandma. My parents changed these children who are now adults and they broke the cycle. We are in the Uk but this would of broke my dads heart. I will show this to my mum too. The fire in my parents belly just grew stronger for these kids. This is truly heartbreaking and I wish, I could help her. All I can do is pray to my dad for her. I hope one day, she can heal. Hard life is an understatement 😪 bless your heart Mark. What you do, is so important to humanity. I my self on the verge of giving up, and I watch and see all these people's stories , I can't say it's comforting to know im not alone in my pain, the opposite, I feel their pain. Too much. It hurts to learn how some people have rights and privileges and luxurious life style and some don't know what will be with them the next minute. Of course our childhood affects us. . What we go thru as kids grooms and form us into what type of adult we will be and how we present ourselves to the world..
This is exactly why we have so much human hurt, pain, murderers, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually ill people, just running wild on the earth. contributing to the world's chaos, darkside and alone why we have good people.. that have an passion to help others... because they can personally relate, know people from dysfunctional backgrounds or they are Being's born as natural empaths with healing spirits... so they are drawn to helping wounded souls.. For me, It's all of those reasons that, I naturally have a draw to hurt people.. I'm a empath and I absorb other's pain. Which is hard on my soul and very debilitating for my Spirit that's why I don't personally have people close to me emotionally.. It's too much. I love Butterfly. She’s has so much beauty; inside and outside. I wish that she had the support of other women who are healthy because healthy women can be a wonderful support system especially if there is shared history. She’s also so intelligent. It surprised me that she can only picture herself doing what she is doing now but I understand it is because of her life history. She could be so much more…she deserves to be so much more. The world needs women like her who have been through such hell and have managed to get out to show other women how to do it.
Butterfly would be an exceptional teacher and mentor, if she would only allow it…
I’m holding a space for you butterfly. A space where you can be who you were created to be, not the false women who was molded by unspeakable trauma. Crying is healing because you have lots of pain to get out and to get through. I was relieved to see you cry because for many years I couldn’t and only through crying did I open the door for healing.
CPS gets away with lots of crap. It is designed for failure and to not believe children unless someone in the system has something to gain from believing them. You are not alone. You have a wonderful since of humor and are one of the best storyteller’s that I’ve ever seen. Here’s a mantra that you can feel free to use, if it appeals to you, “I am good, worthy and worth the effort.”
Look at yourself in the mirror right in the eyes as many times each day as you can while repeating it out loud (assuming it is safe to say it aloud.) Also, use it as a mantra. A mantra is a positive sentence that could be repeated to oneself, over and over again. Especially when a person feels confused, anxious, sad, depressed or whenever it may cross the mind or when a person doesn’t know what to think or say. Eventually, something shifts inside for the better. I send you blessings, good energy and good thoughts. ❤️🤗

You can tell, underneath the hurt, Butterfly has a sweet, motherly nature. I hope she gets to be the real her one day.

It’s crazy how when you’ve been through this much trauma, you instantly revert back to the child you were when it all started the moment you start to tell your story. I feel for her so much. I feel the longing she still has for her mother and her family even in her 30s. I can relate 100% I’m 25 and I still want my mom. I didn’t foresee her getting emotional because in this life I know shes had to learn to hold herself up so when she cried I cried. Queen you have so many people rooting for you. I believe in you

This is devastating to watch. She’s still this beautiful little girl who was just thrown away. I wish I could meet her and just hug her and tell her she’s worth having a great life. Love to you, Butterfly ❤️

It shows you cannot just judge people off of one look. She’s a caring, loving, hurt, abused beautiful woman with FEELINGS and a heart! It’s heartbreaking watching people who were failed by the adults that should have taken care of them and made them feel safe!

OMG, this beautiful soul...when you cry like that it comes from a deep-rooted hurt like no other. She was never heard, never understood, and never cared for by people she was supposed to be able to trust. I am sending love and prayers. I hope we can get a follow up on her. (I am also praying for her 3 children, I am sure they feel like she did when she was put into placement...another generation). It is unfortunate that she has been made a container for other people's rage! this hurts my heart. blessings to you for the work you do by allowing these beautiful hearts a safe space.

Do not give your past the power to define who you are. You are stronger than you will ever believe and your greatest strengths come from your hardest struggles.

My god, this interview really broke my heart. When she broke down the way she did, i cant even imagine going through everything she went through. She’s beautiful and brave i hope she finds her peace. It’s sad how much the system failed her.

I started crying only 5 minutes in. This poor girl was dealt a bad hand in life and it is so brave of her to talk about this. I wish that I could just hug her right now

I wish people could realize your past does not define who you are. Only you decide what defines you and who you are. The past is life's, the future is yours.

I lost both my mom and sister (the 2 I was raised with) to overdose.
I was in to crack after my sisters passing. I am a 7 yr army vet, sober now for 3 years now.
Baby I didn't go threw what you did, but I can empathize so much. KEEP CREATING. My artist outlets have always been my soberity and peace.
