“Goodbye, everyone! I’ll remember you all in therapy!” was my senior quote in high school. I swear, Plankton is the best character.
“How does a fish drown?” I’m sure someone mentioned this, but the reason there’s a beach to begin with is because the density of water there is much higher than everywhere else. It’s a real thing. Believe it’s called brine.

    • @jacobbondurant7186
      @jacobbondurant7186 7 месяцев назад +53

Yep, brine water: saltwater that physically can’t hold anymore salt. It’s literally water underwater.
Additionally, during Goo Lagoon’s debut episode, Ripped Pants, the narrator says, “Ah, Goo Lagoon. A stinky mud puddle to you and me. But to the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom, a wonderful, stinky mud puddle.”

Hold on, I think I know why Paramount+ is "ending" the episodes early. It's typically in the last 20 seconds of the episode, and the bumper means "20 seconds until the next episode starts," meaning they'll bump you to the next show the EXACT moment this one's over. They don't want you watching even a SECOND of the credits. Brilliant, yes. Incredibly annoying, also yes.

15:55 Actually, fish can drown. And there can be a lagoon underwater. At extreme salt levels, if conditions are right, saltwater can become compressed into a dense brine, that has different properties from ordinary water, creating whole underwater lakes, or rivers. And fish can still drown, if the water doesn’t have enough oxygen in it.

The movie was basically supposed to be where the creator wanted the series to end, that’s why everything happens the way it does in the movie. Anything afterwards is supposed to like take place before the movie chronologically. The only reason though the series is still going even today is because Viacom/ Nickelodeon knew this series was making insane amounts of money, as it still is, so they felt the need to continue the show. That’s why I believe Hillenburg stepped away for a while. He then came back though up until his death, and of course the rest is history.

3:50 The 2003 movie most are familiar with is one of many adaptations of a 1972 novel by the same name, which itself is a modern re-telling of Vice Versa, a 1882 novel. And if you go back far enough, you'll find more examples of mind/body swaps in fiction, even if they aren't the main premise of the story.

"The Algae's Always Greener" is my favorite SpongeBob episode, it has the best jokes. My favorites are the shrimp joke, that noise SpongeBob makes when Squidward complains about him and the face SpongeBob made when Plankton said he used too much sauce. It's all hilarious 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, the creator of SpongeBob left before he died ... the sad part is, he wanted SpongeBob to end after the movie, which obviously didn't happen ... and now that he has passed away (a few years now), SpongeBob is still up and running ...
Nick is just like any other big corporation ...

He envisioned the show ending after season three, but he still came back to help occasionally and worked on the second movie and oversaw some of the seasons. He might have wanted it to end himself but he clearly still cared about the show

Fun Fact: @0:43 there's actually a theory that the SpongeBob SquarePants movie was ACTUALLY supposed to have been the series finale! And the Creator wanted to leave after the movie. But then the executives at Nickelodeon was like "No! This is our new cash cow! Y'all ain't going nowhere!" 💸
But Stephen did leave then later returned for a few seasons before his death!

Thats such a pet peeve of mine. Saying i dont like some food or i think its gross etc and someone immediately says "you havent tried mine." Or "youre just experiencing bad ones." No. I just dont like it. When every single person around me enjoys it every time and I dont thats just me finding that dish nasty, not me needing to try yours when ive already tried over a dozen different ones. Like meatloaf.

Freaky Friday was not the first and it's questionable if it even popularized the concept but it did indeed give it a catchy term for people to use without having to explain the concept every time. You can just say the term Freaky Friday and everyone knows what you're talking about and it's a bit funny too

    My meatloaf recipe:
    2lbs 80/20 Ground Beef
    1lb Ground Pork
    1 Egg
    3tbsp ketchup
    1.5tsp salt
    2tsp pepper
Enough whole milk to make the mixture wet, but not drippy
    Combine all
Form into loaf and bake at 350F for 45 minutes, top with extra ketchup and bake for 15 minutes.

The movie and the first three seasons are a masterpiece and agreed happy ending to the SpongeBob era, after Stephen Hillenberg left the show it was handed over to his friend Paul Tibbitt which I got to say the following episodes was just 😢 for me. Stephen did came back to do the second movie which didn’t do that bad I loved it.
