You should do a bunch of “baits”, that are just simple and only stained, from multiple kinds of wood to see which wood fish like the best. Keep the great content coming.

No matter how many times he says it we'll never learn that lures catch us fishers better than fish lol
From one bait maker to another. When making small lures it helps to pre drill the wire holes before shaping (like you did cutting the bib slot.) what I like to do is actually drill the holes while you are still dealing with a rectangular block of wood, because you can hold it in a vice under the drill press and get a more precise job. Being a little off position makes for failure on small lures.

10/10. The pluggin in of that there lead pot was incredibly calm.
The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel ruclips.net/user/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.
U should do a series where you try to replicate well known lures and see how close you get to the real thing. Kinda like what u did with the Roman made. If u decide to do this idea, do that Jackall Ganterel first!

Hd trout lures made by dynamic are great for jerk baits & straight retrieve. I know you make your own but for those days you just want to catch fish it’s great. I’ve caught nearly every gamefish in my state on it and caught over 50 fish a day on it. I’d recommend the white one with blues eyes or the orange/yellow lure with black stripes and black on the top

Make another multi jointed hard swim bait lure and add a lip to it so it can dive and it would have more action, with the tail end of the lure chartreuse then the rest of the body whatever color u think would catch fish... love ur videos, I chose ur videos over many many other RUclipsrs
You need a swivel jaw vise for those wedge shaped baits. Great stuff keep it up. My wife loves listening to your videos as I watch them.

You make beautiful lures with skilled and non-pretentious craftsmanship, the videos are calming procedural narratives, you have none of the fake-enthusiasm and jittery/noisy editing and obnoxious generica music of most youtube channels. Your catchphrases are amusing rather than the usual egotistical pandering--"Lead pot, get it hot". 5/5 fade-in-fade-out treble hook logos.

Omg that is such an ingenious way and to make a line tie on a bill. I am in the middle of making and crank bait. Wanted it to be a deep diver but didn't know how I was going to do the line tie, that's perfect!!!! (Haven't watched the vid yet, sure it will be great as always, just saw the thumbnail!)
@ 14:00 that color scheme actually remind me of Rapala's fire tiger. Only missing black stripes on the sides. Really one of my favorite color schemes.

Marling I know your working on a huge bait right now and it reminded me of a lure concept
I had where I convince YOU to convert some sort of very small Wifi enabled FPV RC, like a tiny FPV RC Boat. Take the innards out and put them into a large bait that you can control with iPhone App and or Radio controller. It would ideally have a waterproof video camera with wifi App so you can watch and record what is around the bait in real time to receive maximum cool points.
I v'e been wanting to tell you that idea for a while, sorry it took me so long to mention it. You probably already thought of doing that at some point and I just ruined the surprise.
