The "Giant Cowboy" at 9:32 is actually a fiberglass statue known as "The Muffler Man" and there over 100 of these in many states in US. Created in the 1960s originally for Muffler shops, but some were refurbished for tire shops, ice cream parlors, as Paul Bunyan, American Indians, etc. True kitschy Americana!
Loved ocean city! Went for years and years when I was younger. And many of the buildings on the boardwalk are actually original buildings that have been renovated and updated!
This video is conveniently timed. Planning on going to Ocean City for the first time this weekend. Love the beach but I also love having things to do away from the beach.
@@railTaterman Ocean City is a lot cheaper compared to other options for beaches, he have always tried to keep it family friendly and aimed toward less expensive
Ocean City is probably the most nostalgic place for me. Only 22 but been there every year since I can remember and I love every second of it. Other notables: Fisher's Popcorn, Fractured Prune, So many great mini golf spots etc.. And don't forget the actual beach!!! The waves are beautiful as I'm not a person that wants Clearwater Florida-type waves. Loved this video!!
we went to ocean city last week, wednesday night to saturday morning, i never been to the ocean and thought the boardwalk and everything was so awesome, how i din't want to leave, we stayed at the gateway hotel at 11th and Baltimore, with a perfect corner balcony and view of the ocean...
My family has been in the Worcester county area for more than a hundred years and we don’t plan on leaving, eastern Maryland is a gem of America and It’s a honor to be born here. I hope that everyone that comes here enjoys their time and comes back. Just don’t get drunk while on a boat and make sure you look up the rules and laws. Our police don’t tolerate it
This vacation spot is in the “Pittsburghers handbook” if you’re from there originally you have been to OC numerous times throughout your life. I love it here, I know this place like the back of my hand. Nice review, one place you need to go next time is Fisher’s popcorn great caramel copper kettle popcorn. 👍🏻
Hahaha, it's funny to think about but one of my best friends and I went on a trip to Ocean City, at that Fun City arcade on the boardwalk, and I have a video of him getting the overall high score on the punching bag game.
Nice, looks like a fun place. For your axe throw, you're chucking it like a baseball. It's more like a golf swing. Your arm should rotate in the same vertical plane even in the follow-through. Don't rotate your wrist at the release point either. Generate the momentum with your arm and simply release the grip on the axe with your hand.
Definitely have to head to beach too. I just made a quick video about a place called OC BAYSIDE RENTALS specifically PARASAILING when I visited last week.
Did you stop at The Fractured Prune one morning? I walked past a couple filming on the boardwalk the other day on my way up to Anthony's (17th St. - highly recommend if you've never been there) I thought maybe they were making a youtube video. Could've been someone else.
the indoor rides ARE old VERY old the carousel is over 100 years old. LOVE the down town OC hotels. some of them have been there for over 70 years. Playland is AMZAZING its a shame the lost lot of the old 40's and 50's games in fire about 15 years ago now. Also nice thing with Jolly Roger multi pass OC city bus is cheap runs all day every 15 min great for getting for kids in there tweens and just let them go :D sad you didnt stop by The Kite Loft of boardwalk AMAZING store great kites and toys at really good prices! they even offer lessons for stunt kites for free when you buy one! you also missed Speed world right there at Jolly Roger has some great go cart tracks
I go to ocmd every year and I go to Jolly Roger several times when I go and the cyclone gets a little boring if you go to speed world I recommend the grand prix and rout 66 aka lamanz
OC always had its seedy side since the 70's its just before times social media you didnt see it or where to young to notice. its no worse or better then its always been
@@Elios0000 I disagree TOTALLY They only real problem OC had back then was the hippies and they were all about peace . Today there is a new group there and just like Baltimore it’s all about violence
No steamed crabs or crab cakes? You missed the main attraction, hun. Phillips closed a few years back but there are other crab houses. How do you go to OC with no mention of eating blue crabs steamed in Old Bay Seasoning washed down with a pitcher of Natty Boh or eating crab cakes? Friggin' tourists. 🤣😂😆😄😁😀
The boardwalk is terrible…dirty, messy, loud and over crowded @ certain times (Covid is still a thing people). It was just gross. Like your local county fair x 10. The beaches, away from the boardwalk, are beautiful and Ocean City does have a lot to offer if you do your research. Good video!
Something is wrong with me. I look at flat rides and always think about what their name is in Planet Coaster. 3:45 - you called it Twister me: wrong, it's called Corrialis (however you spell it)
How can you go to the beach and not talk about the actual beach itself? How was the sand, the water, the waves? 🤦♂️ I’ve actually been there a bunch of times and am a Maryland native. It’s basically for families, waves are kinda strong, water is cold, water quality and color is on the lower end.
@@IntheLoopPodcast water is about month behind the weather. it can be cool avg water temp in the summer is mid 70's to low 80's which feels great when its 90+ with 90% humidity. water stays warm in to September, when i was in boy scouts we use to camp on Assateague in mid September and it was great. best time is mid August about the time you posted this water is about warm as it gets, day temps in the 80s to 90s and cools off to 70's and 60's at night

Ocean city is a great place to go. I remember when the tram was 75 cents to ride but that was a long time ago.
God this makes me so homesick… i Live in central florida now, the amusement park capitol of the world… but I’d choose going down the ocean any day ❤️
I mean at least here in Central FL your aren’t too far from the ocean
Congrats on #700! That's impressive! Hoping for 500 by the time I'm 50.

The ropes course at Frontier Town is closed. And it will not be reopening
ahh bummer

what street was the cannolli place? You should've went to The Dough Roller on 3rd street for pizza or for breakfast (pancakes). It's an institution!
That's pretty cool.
Are those tables chairs and stools in the ocean water behind the beach sand.
OCEAN SILLY
Love oc go there every summer
I’m going to a Ocean City on May 3, 2024❤
I visited Ocean City Maryland before
Always a part of me
I grew up in Baltimore County and have been to OC hundreds of times. OC is now one of the most dangerous places of all

I can definitely see what you are saying, but I don’t eat seafood.
@@IntheLoopPodcast your loss. You probably couldn't negotiate the inside of a steamed blue crab anyway.
BEWARE! It's not OC anymore. Its San Baltidor. That is a hybrid of San Salvadore and Baltimore because that's what it has become..
Omfg how do I avoid the bay bridge smh
