Yes have a condo in oc like off season going this weekend coins pit pub tap house foxes off rt 50 salty dog all fun some open on boardwalk and can take dog on the beach and ride bikes on boardwalk all day
We go to OC a week in the summer & Thanksgiving week. Have been down there on Valentine & President day weekends. Still some stores open on the boardwalk during daylight in cold weather. Johnson popcorn always open Thanksgiving week. Maybe 80% of restaurants closed in the winter. Some only open Wednesday to Sunday.
I was just down there February 26-28 and I was surprised to see alot of the stores open. I talked with a owner and he said alot more will open on the weekends in March and come April it will go into full swing.
I enjoy Ocean City in the off season. Very Tranquil. You can stay at very nice hotels for a great price. I have stayed at the Hilton, which charges up to $600.00 a night in season, for $99.00 off season. Also, many off the restaurants in town have great specials. It is a great time for date getaway, or to go down with a group of friends.
We stayed at the Princess Royale several times off season. Only bad thing was the two hot tubs are outside and closed. Water in Olympic size swimming pool a little cold in the winter.
Love OCMD and DE beaches in the off-season. Love them in the height of summer too. Just a totally different vibe. Highly recommend a winter visit if you're able...
Great video Charlie! Thanks for the update video of the inlet shops. Sucks about the Frog Bar and now Harrison’s next! I loved going to the raw bar on a Sunday afternoon after a round of golf and having some great seafood and beers. Next I’ll hear that the Harbor Inn is closing. I’ve been to OC since 1968. Only missed 3 years. I’m there the first two weeks of August every year. Seen a lot of changes since 68. Love the downtown and west OC area the best. Can’t wait for summer. Cheers Charlie!
I been vacationing in OcMd for 41 years it’s really a beautiful place I can’t begin to describe my love and affection for it.I have gone almost every month of the year except November even in the off season it can still be wonderful only negative would be the weather.I was down a few years ago in February and it was 65 and warm and sunny. It’s a very different place in the off season it very quiet great time for sightseeing. There was a time when the town basically shut down after Labor Day and didn’t get up & running again until Friday before Memorial Day weekend my father worked at the old sandbar on 33rd street 1970’s during summer he said the day after Labor Day you wouldn’t see a single car on Coastal highway it was like a switch was flipped. My favorite memories are from the 1980’s all the great places that are now long gone Morbid Manor is one of them
Just came back from 4days there (Sept 20 thru 24th 2022), and still some folks around.. Good price on the Double Tree ocean view.. Left and headed home just before IAN..Loved it ,9 out of 10.. As Arnold said "I'll BE BACK"..
Thanks for sharing your video about Ocean City Maryland I have been going to Ocean City Maryland off-season since the 1980s Lots of restaurants that the locals go to are open off season along Costal Highway The Boat Show is in February Presidents Day weekend at the Convention Center
$500 per night hotels in summer are as low as $60 per night in January & February. On winter weekends, if the weather is mild then a lot of places open up such as Thrasher's and the Dough Roller.
Great video! Definitely chill months in January/ February. A little more people are coming in town year round and or using their vacation home as their primary to work remotely since 2020. September/October are great months to visit as the crowds are cut in half, weather is perfect, water is still warm and most spots are open.
Harrison's Harbor Watch restaurant on the south end of the OC boardwalk was open summer of 2024. We have eaten there a few times and would recommend it. Nice to get there early to get a seat next to a window to watch boats going by.
I would love to be there weather off or on season It is my happy place 😊I just live too far away. Before the travel restrictions last year my husband and I used to go every year for a week in September. If I lived closer I'd definitely walk on that boardwalk everyday
The Inlet area with all the empty buildings is being changed to a food court type area. The buildings that were taken down are where an outside eating area is going.
April is a good month to visit Ocean City. The weather is warming, and most shops are open at least on the weekends. I agree with other people, the off season or shoulder seasons are the best times to come to OC. The riff raff doesn't come down until Late May and June. If the Mayor has another summer season like last year, OC will be the place to avoid. Fights and stabbings were the norm last summer, especially in June! As someone who has been going to OC for the last 30 years, I would stay clear of this place in June!!!!
Great video! We go to ocean city every year in the summer. I've always wondered what it looked like in the winter. Thanks for sharing what OC looks like in February. Also down at the inlet shops the frog bar is being remodeled and a change of name. There's going to be out door dining where some of the little shops were torn down.
Have been to OC several times Thanksgiving week when more places were open especially towards the South end. Most close up when it gets dark Monday to Fridays. Was also down there end of October & Valentines Day & President weekend and same amount of boardwalk businesses open. Dollies candy store is pronounced Dolley's.
Up In ocean city nj where I live it always used to be completely dead in the winter but ever since covid we have gotten an influx of people from the big cities moving down here so it never is truly dead in the winter but it’s obviously not the same as the summer as far as crowds
Ocean City NJ is a lot nicer and better beach too. But with no bars or liquor stores that's a problem for a lot of people. They can drink their own at their motels of course. For non drinkers it's almost paradise.
@@mikewillett5076 true, it’s no coincidence the two top selling liquor stores on the east coast happen to be in the vicinity of both bridges leading into town 🤣

Hey Sandy. Doggy Style is now where the nostalgic movie shops were across from Harrison’s, and it’s much bigger. I heard they’re making a good court in that spot. When you go down in September, you’ll see what I mean. Thanks for watching!!!
I've been looking at all the boardwalk cams almost everyday and it's not much busier now in may than it looks here. It's basically a ghost town. People will get screwed from June to august with super high prices for them to try and make up for lost revenue. We, the public, lose.
They are building some dumb food court thing or something. They are getting rid if the end of bordwalk there the benches are. I'm not very happy about it

The prime off-season in my experiences is around April-May. Warm enough for the ocean, businesses closed, beach and boardwalk to self.
We have never been to OCMD during summer. We love the “off” season.

Before the Sandy hurricane in 2012, it was a true ghost town in off season. I live close by, & you'd only see like one car on the road before 2012.
