really enjoying the videos Steve, catching up with your 2022 walk as well. The idea of completing the LETJOG's fascinates me but not being able to commit to something that long is a problem. However, you have given me an idea which I hope to bring to fruition. In sections I have completed the SWCP, The Cotswold Way, Cumbria Way, Hadrian's Wall and some others; at present I'm ticking off the Heart Of England Way in sections. I've realised that if I walk The Somerset Coast path from Minehead to Bristol, then the Gloucesteshire Way, with a couple of diversions I can join up what I have already done as far as Cannock in Staffordshire. Then it's a case of getting to Ulverston to link up with The Cumbria Way.! That leaves Scotland !!! I know the purists wouldn't be impressed but it's good enough for me. All the best.
You captured the buitifull welsh mountains perfectly. Hope you don't mind me saying but I noticed the ridge line on that z pack tent is very slack and low. If you use longer guys on front and back they would pull it apart better and lift it as a consequence
Really enjoying your adventure. I'm very disappointed in the amount of damage over-tourism has caused on the Pen y Fan summit. But I'm not surprised, I live a stones throw from Snowdonia in North Wales and it's even worse here.
Your navigation skills are very good, just keeping up with you on the OS map is difficult. Though you did miss a stone circle. I don't see anybody as you walk the hills yet when you get to the top of a mountain there are masses of people. Confusing, where do they come from? Though it's nice to see people out and about enjoying the countryside and the views. Just one question, why don't you use treking poles? Although it's obvious you are a very good hiker, for long distance walkers and for up and especially down, they really help. Long term they will save your joints, knees in particular. It's worth thinking about. Great video and fantastic views.
I actually carry trekking poles as as I need them for my tent (Zpacks Duplex) and they’re handy for crossing rivers on slippery stones or other slippery terrain, but to be honest I’m just too lazy to use them and prefer just putting my hands in my pockets when walking.
Likewise, have really missed your videos! Are you OK? Did you have an accident somewhere? Is there any way you can share with us what has happened to you?
@@stevepetty5270 Thanks for your reply and it's good to know you are OK. . I have mobility issues now and am unable to walk - I can,t underestimate just how much your videos mean to me at the moment!

That’s a tough route you are taking to do your lejog. Hats off to you, the Cambrian way is a challenge just on its own
Thank you. I’ve got loads of time to do the Lejog walk so I can spend time doing the scenic routes.
Hope you're okay, you havent uploaded for a month, just a little worried :)
