I am in no sense a professional reader, voice actor, or what have you. I began this audiobook project some years ago when some friends of mine jokingly said they'd read A Song of Ice and Fire (my favorite fantasy series) if I personally recorded the whole series in audiobook form and sent it to them. Having now made my way almost through the first two books in the series, I decided to join the small community of people who post their own amateur audibook readings to youtube, and share my efforts.
I have no intention of profiting off of the work that is copyrighted to George RR Martin. This upload is a tribute to a series I deeply love, and I strongly encourage you to purchase these books. You won't regret it.
Also I should give full credit to my cat, Claudio, for the frequent background meows and purring sounds you hear throughout.

i find it hilarious and weird that every person that is going to ask dany for her hand is absolutely convinced she will say yes to them. no doubts at all, just hinging the entirety of all their plots and schemes on dany marrying them.

The mumers Dragon that Danny will slay can only be faegon because Jon is a true Dragon and she wont be Killing him or unmasking him or whatever
If He was rheagars son then shed have little reason to kill him but to Claim the throne but then she wouldnt try knowing His right is stronger and shed realize the Iron throne isnt the real important Thing but Life and freedom for her people which she will get by ending the Long night and finishing this ice Zombie bullshit
There is literally No reason to believe that faegon is truegon other than that it was introduced to us as such which is basicly nothing

Half the comments are calling the Martell's idiots for assuming Daenerys would marry Quentyn, when Daenerys herself literally says she would have, if Quentyn hadn't come so late. Doran and Arriane have no idea about Hizdahr or that Daenerys wants to stay to protect Mereen.
Some of you have raised the point that a lot of my recordings have dynamic contrasts that are too much - quiets too quiet alongside louds that are too loud. With this chapter, I used compression on the track to try and deal with that (not sure why I never attempted that before). Those of you who listen in the car, before going to bed, etc, let me know if this seems like an improvement, and I'll start doing this consistently and figure out a little more about hwo to fine tune it.

I don't get why everyone is hating on the martels, quentin had to try something or he'll be shamed for returning home with his tail between his legs that's a truth no one can deny
And ariane eveb though she doesn't have interesting internal dialogue in this chapter her concerns about the nature of viserys' death is not unwarranted even though it might make her take a rushed decision concerning aegon, and I see that she doesn't realize she's in the game of thrones when she said "it's just a game" that's a grievous mistake I hope though she gets someone to put some sense in her
This darkstar farce is, for some reason, also being hidden from Arianne and Daemon, but not the sand snakes. And Oberyn‘s paramour, I guess.

Doran, Quentyn & Arianne are truly delusional. All 3 actually believe that Daenerys will marry Quentin & return to Dorne with her dragons.
I mena, to be fair, why wouldn't they actually believe that? They don't know Danny's true situation, all they've heard is her being an exile princess seeking to reclaim her kingdom(s) and here Quentyn comes, offering her the support of the sole kingdom untouched by both war and famine so far, and which would eagerly take up arms for her cause if she would only agree to marry him.
If dany didn't marry hizdar she would have married Quintin when he asked so she would have the backing of dorne. There was no way of knowing she was going to conquer the slave cities.
i see both sides. yes dany would have welcomed quynt and dorn if he had come earlier. but its also funny that quynt, euron, and victarion just assume dany has nothing better to do than to marry them, like she’s not making her own decisions and forging her own path. everyone underestimates the dragon

Dany needs a fleet, Quentyn couldn’t offer her that. Presuming Hizdar is killed in the battle of fire, Vicatarion has a decent chance - unless of course he is just too batshizz for Dany.

Daenerys was the sister of Rhaegar, Arianne. Viserys was the true child of the Mad King. I'm sure King Arys would've been proud of him for dominating mind.
I think Arianne will take a rush decision and marry fAegon , possibly with Doran permission ,that would be very tragic for the Martells(

Intresting that a Dornish lady so far from the north is has green dreams. I'm guessing the Toland's of Ghost Hill have blood from the First men in them. But since they are so far removed from the culture of the First Men they have no Idea what to make of her dreams and just dismiss them.
There're caves nearby and children of forest lived there. It might have something to do with the little girl's dreams

So I have to admit I went through feast like I was ripping a bandaid off so I am murky with the dorne narrative but the show did a horrible job servicing a part of the story that was chance to possibly improve one the books maybe.......also and I am new to the channel this guy is great and I hope it isn't an insult when I say he sounds like wil wheaton reading a book and that is a good thing wil wheaton does this professionally

Seriously, north by northwest is NOT an actual compass direction. That's why it's the title of a movie about a person who doesn't really exist (whom Cary Grant gets mistaken for). The actual direction is called northwest by north. Somebody should clue GRRM in about that.
Read fire and blood I know since the point of view would be different it’d be a challenge but I think you’d do it better than these other RUclips audiobook readers

Darkstar did nothing wrong! Sylva Santagar tried to kill Myrcella and Darkstar saved her life! Doran and Arriane are both manipulative Vipers who accused Darkstar of a crime to get rid of a Possible Sword of the Evening, that will fight in the Long Night and knows about R+L=J.

I’m planning on recording...... something else once I finish trhe Winds previews, but I’m kind of agonizing over what to do next. Just recently I’ve thought I might go back to the source and record The Hobbit, but the other day I thought maybe I’d throw a curveball and do Clan of the Cave Beat. There’s so many possibilities it’s hard to pick!

@@iiifff2782 I had to consider that for a bit. Victarion is misogynistic AF, as well as quite narcissistic. Arianne is Dornish, ergo she ain't having none of that shit. That said, I can envision her identifying Victorian's deeply engrained trauma and using it to her advantage (eg. Calm/soothe the demons in his soul to make him more tolerable/complacent/emotionally attached to her) to achieve her own agendas. Since the topic came up, I think Oberyn and Cersei would have been some kind of fucked up masterpiece couple.
