@@emilegriffith1473 George was given multiple deadlines for a lot of his books by his publisher. Publishers usually set the deadlines not the authors. But he gets away with breaking them cuz of who he is
Sad, still hyped for Simon Vance or Harry Lloyd; I swear those three have all been my favorite narrators in general for anything I've listened to on Audible.
These books are worth the hype, and the show will never come close (which is not an insult to the show, which is probably the best on TV, but a compliment to the books). I will never understand why so many plotlines were neutered from the show, and so many characters and events either roughly smashed together, or dumbed down. Why not tell ADWD over two TV seasons, as the author intended it with all the characters and plotlines (like Jon Connington, the false dragon, Tyrion's full flight to Mereen, Quentyn Martell, et cetera, et cetera). But I digress... great chapters, GRRM is a master.
Andy Mitchell not to mention how they absolutely destroyed the Martell's ... Dorans kids were all missing ... and then they just up and murder trystane and doran .. the whole sandsnake arc was just confusing ... "We have to avenge and do right by our father Oberyn... but how?" "murder his brother / best friend , nephew and his betrothed ?" "PERFECT! oberyn would be so proud" shenanigans
The books are the real story. The show is a makeshift mess that prepares for plot-lines, abandons them, leaves absurd empty easter-eggs behind, and is more concerned with showing off the emoting of the actors than with the storyline. I wish The Man would hurry...
You can tell that D&D just want to wrap the series and are rushing it. Still love the show, but books especially after a storm of swords are better than the show.
Damn that was better than expected. The complexity of the battle and who's on who's side is epic. You have dragons, unsullied, ironborn, and various sellswords on one side, and slavers, slave soldiers, ghiscari legions, qarthian ships, and various OTHER sellswords on the other.
@@incanusolorin2607 Actually, I don't remember writing this. I don't know why I was talking about "high pitched." But I will say I prefer Roy's Tyrion. This voice has no emotion to it.
