What a killer set up on this one! I also just subscribed... I understand this is an older video, but how do you find the Minn Kota performance since it's a stern mounted and it's offset. For bigger boats, it's highly recommended to do bow mounting as it will allow the bow to track prevailing current and wind especially during spotlock. As for being offset from the certain line, on bigger boats this will make the boat to go in a big circular track if manual compensation is not applied. Are these noticeable on yours or not at all? I'm in the process of deciding install a Terrova too, but can't decide on mounting location. Thinks!
Thank you! I changed the Minn Kota to the bow about 18 months back and it's much better (especially offshore). It's good when I'm on top of bait or at the FADS chasing Mahi. Jetleds made the bow mount one as well.

@@visionhomesjetskiadventure2302 Thanks! Can you point me to a recent video where you have that current set-up so I can check how it looks? Thanks!
Thanks David!!!! It’s a bit less with the extra 40L and the Tubbies. We rode for about 3 and a half hours and then did a bit of extra trolling and drift fishing and came back with a third of the original tank (a couple of outings ago). Planning on doing a trip from Woodgate to Fraser so I’ll be able to get a more accurate idea on true fuel economy.
Hi Frank, I’ve got a 50amp Lithium Battery (third battery) that sits in a bracket in the hull - at the back right hand side (have to take off the platform to get to it).
The tubbies aren’t too heavy - the 40L fuel tank adds about 40kg to the front - that’s the most noticeable difference - especially if it’s choppy as you need the tilt right up in waves and choppy weather when both tanks are full.
very cool.. I know you said in the video the 40L fuel up front didn't affect handling.. is it really that neutral? Where does fuel get taken from first? The aux tank then main? or.. many thanks!
Hi Alex, the fuel gets drained from the aux tank first. There's a fair bit of extra weight (approx 40kg) in the front when it's full so I put the trim on full tilt. Usually I'm riding for 30 min to an hour and a half to get to a fishing spot so it works well for me. Going through the bar the front of the ski is down a bit which is good and bad. Good as the extra weight stabilises it when it's a bit rougher but I found I really have to make sure the trim is right up as it felt a bit weird the first few times I took it out.
Hi Frank, for me the 12v Minn Kota Riptide works as it’s not too heavy and I now run it off the bow. 24v will last longer but more for a bigger vessel .
Hi Michael, The trolling motor I bought from TackleWorld. I would contact Anthony from Jetleds - he made the bracket for me for the SeaDoo and I’m sure could make something for you and ship it. Also Patrick from Shoreline Yamaha is the other guy really good with working out custom made solutions. They are the guys chatting in this video.
Could you provide the contact information for your builder please? I am interested in the trolling motor mount and the pontoons. Thank you! Nice video.
Hi Stephen, absolutely - PAtrick from Shoreline Seadoo at Slacks Creek installed the tubbies / pontoons. Anthony from Jetleds at Slacks Creek designed and built the Minn Kota mount.

@@ia6980 I’ve only ever had it with Tubbies on. Max speed on a flat day with 2 x people is 94km / hour. I really rate them highly.

@visionhomesjetskiadventure2302 oh really, thanks for your insight, im currently deciding on seadoo fisher pro or small boat, is there any other advantages for you in using jetsky? And how far have you traveled into the ocean on a jetsky?
