Also, the fact they basically determine the CFP and how many teams get in per conference is obviously biased and they’re ruining college football.
This is because Disney is actually the British crown corporation and there's very little congress can do except pull federal funding from individual schools themselves, and that will cause a chit storm. DISNEY is Caesar, CFB is bread and circuses, the Colesium.
Here’s an idea (sorry if its long): Prior to ESPN extending the media deal, the ACC’s position was that a team could leave after paying the exit fee, but their media rights remained with the league. Due to the fact that there was no tv contract beyond ‘27, they couldn’t actually tell the courts (Judge Cooper asked) a number. Now that ESPN has extended it til ‘36, the ACC now can put an actual number on the buyout. FSU could have negotiated getting the league to reduce the GoR by 5yrs in exchange dropping the case. This then allows FSU to buy out the last few years on the GoR and leave with their rights.

I am probably missing something, but hard to imagine ESPN taking the chance of owing this money to the ACC until 2036 if there was ANY chance Clemson and FSU would NOT be in the conference? Let's be real, take out Clemson and FSU and the ACC is no longer a football conference... so there must be a lot we don't know about this. The ONLY thing that is certain is that the ACC is FINE with mediocrity, (other than Clemson & FSU)... the financial situation is a death sentence for being a conference that matters.
A FSU fan who truly is honest with themselves hand clap but this is also going to happen to every team in college football people are starving out here! How can they maintain these unrealistic payouts?
IN my opinion , yes, as this lawyer speaks, it will only be a nominal bump for premiere ACC teams at first, but money is only part of the equation, there is also the question of autonomy. If Clemson or FSU were to make a lateral move to the SEC, they would be chained dogs. They actually stand to lose more autonomy than if they try to make the ACC work as top dogs. I do not see Congress letting the B1G and SEC shut the playoffs door to other conferences, yet. A few more things have to be settled first. What this does is open the door for 3rd parties(strategic partners) to make up the monetaries gap that ESPN is purposefully trying to deprive the ACC of. No one has more interest in preserving or even increasing the autonomy of the ACC conference right now than partial member Notre Dame. What's to say? ND won't come up with a partnership that is even better than private equity coming in to be shot callers? Perhaps even a package that makes relying on playoffs participation payouts a non factor. Remember, this isn't just about football, but also about where to park 1000s of other non football athletes.
I still think ESPN is driving the realignment bus, and there's more to come on that front. As a fanbase, we need to stop being a bunch of Chicken Littles. YES, we are on the struggle bus, but we aren't riding it through to 2031. I see a negotiated amount for FSU, and our ACC full stop will be in 2027.
By 2031 we will be dead, even with the unequal revenue sharing from the ACC. The Big Ten and the SEC will be so far ahead that we won’t be able to compete, we’re fucked.

If you’re going to bring up ND, they been independent since day 1, they have a century advantage over FSU.
Declaring Independence doesn't solve the GOR problem sir. FSU could just say sign a deal with apple and tbs FSU wouldn't be allowed to keep the money from that deal legally for the next 11 years. There is no legal way around that. The whole point of leaving is to get more money not less

Worst season in 50 years, shit canned both coordinators and curb stomped by your state rivals. Simple solution. What happened to that private equity, buy out that exit fee? Your leadership at FSU sucks. Go Canes. Go away Noles
cant wait to get my $250....hello Big 12
DONT hold your breath the economy will be in ruins by than just look at the economy currently nothing is going to bring property back no much how you hope!😂
Never getting out of the acc smh
A FSU fan who truly is honest with themselves hand clap but this is also going to happen to every team in college football people are starving out here! How can they maintain these unrealistic payouts?
We may want to think long and hard before we join any conference in the future. ND may have the right idea.
Well done gentlemen! 👏
(Appreciate the TBM mention)
So all this money into a program and billable hours and we have to wait until 2030??? Administration has failed us again so good luck getting money
Untill 2030? No forever have you sceen this economy?😅
I believe FSU, Clemson, Miami and UNC will get up to $70 million. The ACC Network factors in the payout
Hopefully, all works out.
Well than your delusional because the economy will be so bad that would be a even more horrible move!
Maybe we should start investing in baseball.
Fsu doesnt need to leave acc. Youll get money if you just stay competitive and dominate every year. plus sec is on a decline. Stay in your conference
ESPN just bent over the ACC.
All the ACC does is grab their ankles!!!
Big 10 Does NOT want you. SEC wants the Tarheels.
WVU FAN WHY CAN'T YOU JUST TELL ACC THAT YOUR LEAVING IN 2 YEARS AND HAVE A PLAN WITH THE EXIT FEE AND JUST LEAVE THE ACC. IS THIS NOT A OPTION?
I am not a college football fan.. I am an Nole. Will just go play golf on Saturdays if we are stuck here and delete espn.
This has nothing to do with fsu leadership. This is all ESPN. Cancel all espn subscriptions.
The ACC is still the best path to the College Football Playoffs.
Very true too bad many of the top programs dont see that!😢
By 2031 we will be dead, even with the unequal revenue sharing from the ACC. The Big Ten and the SEC will be so far ahead that we won’t be able to compete, we’re fucked.
By 2031 this country will be in more trouble than currently damn the football when your starving!🤗
Bullshit on your eyeballs comment, FSU football team is a total joke. You won 2 games this year! Do you want to rephrase your eyeballs comment?
If I were the ACC I wouldnt settle at all.
Stay or go as you will, and you pay in full if you leave.
If you stay you get NOTHING extra through 2036.
too big of a risk.
GO NOLES!!!!!!!!!
I also blame Mr. Rohan 100% 😂
Then why are you listening? Inquiring minds want to know.
We are STUCK and HUMILIATED
They are humiliating themselves
@@MichaelHiers-eb4tcyou must be a FSU hater
@@Almighty5-ww1klNo he sounds like a honest FSU fan! Im no hater but college football as a whole is out of hand and these payouts are not reasonable or sustainable! People are starving and loosing there homes and we are worried about how much our favorite universities are making when they want give a penny to you!😅
Go noles
Go independent
Ok 🙄
@ please tell me why FSU can’t go independent? With all of the options to sell your games nowadays? There’s so many different streaming services and networks. Don’t underestimate the value of of Florida State nationwide.
@@joewright219if FSU goes independent, which network is will to pay them? You can take ESPN off the list cause leaving the ACC is like giving the middle finger to ESPN. Fox Sports? They locked in with the B1G with a big contract already. Streaming services? At most they’ll get $10M compared to the $30M from the ACC. Going independent ain’t that easy.
They used to be independent
Bring Jimbo back. Sorry not Sorry. It's our only chance at a Natty again 😂
He’s washed.
If FSU remains in the ACC through 2036, I’m DONE with FSU, and college football all together.
Yeah Im done with the NFl and college football is not that far behind! Just be done with it because FSU and the big 4 want make too many big moves from here on out the economy is about tapped out and so are these unrealistic deals!
College football was saved by this. Everyone that was bashing the SEC and B1G and how they were destroying college football is now mad because they aren't going to one.😂
Huh? Those things aren't mutually exclusive.
@tallyrc You know what I mean. A lot of comments are mad, saying they wanted to leave the ACC. Where else are they planning to go other than the SEC or B1G?
@@noelramirez1551 I think the statement "the sec and big10" are destroying college football is true. While simultaneously believing that if we don't join the sec or big10 we don't survive either is also true. I believe that is the sentiment that's being expressed.
@@tallyrc yea it's every school for themselves so no hard feelings but this move keeping the ACC together for the meantime has to be seen as saving what's left of college football instead of destroying another Power conference.
@@noelramirez1551Well I hate to break to you fellows but the whole system and its sports are going to fold look around you!😊
Y’all FSU fans are delusional 😂 leave the ACC to go to a conference where you’ll be a bottom feeder for sure year in and year out. The U has more value and UF is building theirs. Neither big league conference wants ya and you wanna cry about it. Wouldn’t be in this position if ya would’ve hired Deon when y’all had the chance 🤷🏻♂️
Haha, farting out your mouth again.
@@gcoj1577No he is telling the truth and nothing but the Truth!
@jmath1978 so, what you're implying is FSU can only be competitive in an inferior conference. FSU has never won any national championship and/or has been on a level to compete for one? Who is really delusional?
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MCDOLLARS! ESPN can wipe their (***) with that extension. We are obviously under some kind of sanction for being a bit too upset about our 13 - 0 season = alabama get's into the playoffs game. We need to leave the ACC 2 years ago... yeah, also I'm sure ESPN would love to see us play our upcoming season so they can hedge bets on how many points we will loose by, all the while getting paid twice. Let's not get started with the horrific schedule we were handed. ESPN - DON'T PEE ON ME AND TELL ME IT'S RAINING.
Its diffinetly pissing on FSU but this whole thing is done period!😢
So I just watched this other video from the other day
They are saying something a little different than you. Love to hear your take on it.
ruclips.net/video/MH5Enz7nma8/видео.htmlsi=21jJP-vBEHRlT5J6
Yeah I watched that Big Mountain video the other day but from what I heard depending on ESPN it looks like if the SEC don't want FSU the BIG 10 does cuz they definitely want to be in the state of Florida so as they said on that show the BIG would definitely want FSU and Miami in that order so either way depending on what ESPN does since they have the most money FSU could still be in good shape cuz they could probably end up in one of the Power 2 conferences so still looking good for our Noles but again depending on what ESPN does since they are the ones running the train since they are the sports media KING we won't know until then but I'm optimistic and I think we end up in one of those conferences in the next year or two so here's hoping for sooner rather than later! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
@@ATLieNOLENot going to happen sounds like alot of hope over in Tallahassee but hope stands for delayed disappointment with this economy really think about what you just said than let reality set in!😂😂
@@jmath1978 Well obviously you didn't read everything I said. What I said was that's what I heard on the BIG Mountain Podcast so everything I wrote is what they said, next time read the whole thing not the parts you just want to read genius! In "REALITY" no one knows exactly what's going to happen so if we stay in the ACC so be it. In the end it's all about money anyways and it seems the ACC will payout more money to the big brands of that conference such as FSU and Clemson due to the new ESPN contract. There's the reality check that sinked in awhile ago so I thought about it and still feel the same way, sorry hater! 🤷🏽♂️ I appreciate you loving my reply so much though, please stop by anytime Mr. Kool-Aid! 😂🖕🏼
@@ATLieNOLE I read what you said and your still hopeful as he'll aka delayed disappointment! Your big mad calling me a hater lol! With this Kool Aid man icon how could I be a hater? And the middle finger really? But you are a FSU fan so it makes sense many of you are just toxic! And a paragraph for FSU you need a hug!🤗🤗🤗 Thanks for calling me genius though it almost makes me look past the middle finger you showed me you must be a delightful person in real life!😘😘😘
@jmath1978 Sounds to me like you're BIG MAD over the middle finger, sorry hater didn't mean to hurt your feelings! Are you going to cry now?! 😂 I'm sure you'll get over it "genius!" Again, and this time understand what I'm saying here but as long as FSU gets more of a revenue share from the media rights by staying in the ACC due to the new ESPN contract then that's all we wanted since we bring the most 👀 to the TV when we play. If you have beef from what I said last night then go take it up with that BIG 10 podcast(BIG Mountain)show I heard all that from. I honestly could careless if you do or don't but obviously you have an opinion about it but your opinion seems like it's dripping in hate hence the name hater. Did I hurt your feelings Mr. Kool-Aid man, ahh poor baby can you ever find a way to forgive me you big ?! 😂 Why don't you stick to what you know and keep trolling everyone you can that doesn't say what you think is true. Again, thanks for all your encouragement cuz trolls are always fun to mess with and you are entirely to easy to upset. You'll be fine though cuz haters who love to troll and act like what they're saying is always the exact truth so I appreciate that hater.
