great video series! thank u so much for doing them for us. i’ve got two pop up campers i am converting this year and this info was very helpful in how to deal with the roof issue i have on one of them. ❤😊
Stumbled on your videos and glad I did. 2000 Coleman SunValley and the roof, though it doesn't leak looks horrible. Looks like I have a fall project now!
Thank you so much for documenting your process in doing this repair. I have a 1999 Sante Fe that has needed this repair since we bought it in 2021. I've been avoiding taking it on because of a lack other info on how to do. A few questions: (A) how long for each stage did it take you vs total project length? (I obviously understand that everyone's ABS removal stage will differ depending on how much adherence there is) (B) How much odor was there from the Grizzly Grip material? Did you end up needing to use a respirator? I am considering backing my trailer into my garage to complete this repair and am concerned about the ventilation. Appreciate your time and effort to share your knowledge!
Great trio of videos. I have a 96 Coleman I will be doing same in the next month. Thank you for paving the way. Has any one reinstalled the track for the owning after applying the Grizzly Grip? or is everyone just removing and living without the awning? or leave track on and cut off ABS around the track and apply GG . Any help is greatly appreciated
Cheryle, GREAT video. We have a 96 Colman that I need to do the same thing as you did. I have a few questions if you don't mind. How did you decide to use Grizzly Grip versus one of the other bed liners?? I appreciate you showing the can of Bondo and how you applied it. I see there must be close attention to multiple layers and smoothing it out like doing dry wall sealing. How much of the gallon did you actually use? I see you took off the awning mounting hardware. Have you been able to re-apply your awning? Also thank you for the price breakdown also. Again thank you very much, Kalani
Hi there! Sure. I decided on Grizzly Grip mostly because 90% of people on a Coleman facebook page I'm part of suggested it. I used two containers of Bondo on my project, but that is going to vary depending on your project. I did not re-apply the awning, but I'm sure it could be done.
Hello, Did you attempt to remove the adhesive residue that’s left on the top after removal of ABS shell? I have tried every chemical I can think of, and nothing touches it. Hard to believe Grizzly Grip will adhere well to a sticky mess.
Hi there. Thank you so much. It's holding up great. Been 9 months so far, and no complaints yet! I did not put the awning back on the roof, but if you wanted to, I'm sure you could! You'd just want to order one, glue it on with a good glue, and then add your final coat of grizzly grip around it to make it blend in really nice.
Oh, I'm so glad to hear that! That's why I did these videos was because I couldn't find quite what I needed so I figured others were having the same problem. Clearly, I'm a novice, but that means anyone can do it, right? Ha!
I can't say hold long it holds up. This is our first camper and first time doing this. But, it's been 9 months and it's looking good and holding up great! I hope it's a permanent fix and lasts for a very long time, as it was a semi-expensive and very time consuming project.
So far how is it going with the roof I bought one and the roof is horrible on mine I’m deciding on replacing everything or just doing this type of coating

Thanks! I wished there was a good set of videos start to finish, so decided to do my own!
Great job. I watched all 3 videos. This is very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to document your work!

Thanks for the great video! I have basically the exact camper you have! Your Video was very helpful!
Any updates on how this has performed?
Still holding up well a year and a half later? Considering buying a 2001 myself but all the stories of these roofs going bad had me worried!
Great job. And, thanks for sharing.
Thank you!

2000 Santa Fe. (aherrst) Did you do the repair yet? Mine has more cracks than a plumber convention.
How has this held up? I'm about to do mine which had the same issue. Also did you ever re-install the canopy?
I know these videos are from 2022 but could you post a list of products and the quantity you used?

Great videos. Update please on how it’s holding up. Also… did you put tracks for awning back on the roof? Thank you!

@cheryltriestodiy5398 do you still have the popup? Is it still holding up?
Here in Iowa set to take on this project on our Coleman. Anxious to know how it is holding up?
Its' holding up great! Been 9 months and I'm very happy with it so far. I did tarp it over the winter.
How did this turn out how long does it hold up

how's the top holding up? Any limbs fall on it yet? Dents? How hard is that Grizzly Grip?
How did it go putting the seal on after?
So more than a year later, how is it holding up?
So far how is it going with the roof I bought one and the roof is horrible on mine I’m deciding on replacing everything or just doing this type of coating
So far, so good! Been 9 months now and I'm very happy with it. So far, anyway!
How big of a kit did you buy?
Hello :-)
How many quartz did you use of the grizzly grip?
That's my question too!
@@emac1177 I think she said 5 but 9 was recommended.
how is it holding up? leaks?
Holding up great so far. Been 9 months and I'm happy. No leaks!
You are using the wrong type of roller. You should use a stiff foam roller not a puffy foam roller.
