- Time for another Booze Review. This time I'm reviewing something special. A dedicated viewer and Patron of mine suggested and sent me some samplings of Last Straw Distillery to try. I had never come across Last Straw before, but boy am I glad I was introduced to it. Thanks again Stephane!
Last Straw Distillery is Ontario’s smallest production, award-winning micro-distillery located here in Canada, in Vaughan, Ontario. That’s just north of Toronto. I’ve tried a few of their products now and they’re all distinctively unique. They’re high-quality, craft spirits that are all made by hand in super small batches. Out of the bunch I was sent, one in particular caught my attention. Today, I’m going to review a traditional southern moonshine recipe, Last Straw’s Darker Side. You take one smell and think, is it a rum? Or is it a Whiskey? This one received a silver medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2019. If you can get your hands on some bottles, I highly recommend it. Call up that Canadian friend and ask them to ship you a bottle...or two!

Bruce! I know a lot of labor and love goes into these episodes, and I'm sure your plate is full, but have you ever considered doing the RUclips Shorts? Maybe for shooters, or to tell some funny little anecdotes from over the years?
I've heard they can help increase your reach, algorithms and whatnot, though you might've gotten this spiel already. Either way, love what you're doing, man! Looking forward to more shenanigans.

Would you be up for another "Wheel of drinks?" Not odd ones. You did a rusty nail, godfather and a silver bullet (3/4 gin 1/4 scotch.) How about more two spirit drinks tossed on a wheel?
