River took her own life in the form of a sacrifice for the Doctor - if the Doctor takes his own life someday, they could very well be reincarnated as twins. (Yes, I do know that River got saved to the library. I watched that episode/those episodes. It's just a nice thought, to lessen the pain of how tragic their relationship really is.)
River and Matt are the grandest couple ever since John and Delenn from Babylon 5. My heartstrings are always torn apart at both of their goodbyes. Till we meet again Sweetie.
