There's 100% something they're not telling us about this format. I (AbsoluteCouch) just recently hit #5 placement with fewer points than the #5 on your screenshot, and I'm 100% sure I did it later than you considering time to get it, script, record, edit and upload this video.
Hell, the wording is strange, too. Are you going to get the reward for the highest rank you achieved, or the rank you're at when the event ends? More transparency on this thing would be great.
There's a legitimate possibility that the playerbase has been divided up into brackets of 50 players each, considering that only 50 people show up on my leaderboard and #50 only has ~90 points.
Yeah I agree with the player base being divided when I looked at my top 50 the person in 50th place had only a few hundred points. That was a few hundred points after a couple of hours, I definitely think it's divided.
It's possible that everyone is in a bracket of 50 (or more). But still the stress is there (at least for me).

its set into different groups of players. I won mine with 85k and theres no way there werent folks out there with like 1 milly lol
My group's highest was 160k. 👀 Pretty much what I expected and why I was speaking on is it worth it in the video lmaooo.
I've seen a few of my discord members have a top of like 29k so I'm happy theirs was more obtainable

Dude there are multiple leaderboards. You have to get to top 1 within your leaderboard that consist of only 50 people. If you are last you get the top 50 rewards

Multiple groups of 50. You just need to be #1 out of your 50 rivals. Im already #1 in mine. Getting at least top 5 is what you want.
It's a random 50 people leaderbourd because I'm 1st place on mine no way I'm 1st out of everyone with 20k points

It's a no for me, i couldn't care less about perk currency or some PVP emblem. Next week event (Team Batman vs Team Joker) sounds more interesting and with cool rewards
I feel that. I'm more of a tryhard myself and I think it's too stressful. I can't imagine most of the players who are not like me and just want to enjoy the game for what it is.

Thankfully it's only the 50 people you start the event with. There are a ton of leaderboards. I was ranked 11 before work today. It's not really stressful and easy to climb the ranks.
I guess this kinda event sounds better than speedstorms events.
I don’t care at all what I need is more in game currency for skins and characters and a faster way to go through my battle pass I love the game but not enough to worry about any leader boards I’m broke from being in speedstorm leader boards. 😂😂🤣

It’s pretty decent. The currency rewards are whatever but the badges are cool
#2 should have gotten a unique badge though. Didn’t have to be anything fancy. Have the #2 badge have 3 stars at the bottom and 3-5 placements be two stars
Played for a couple hours and got to first. Took a break to play valorant and was sure my number 1 spot would have been taken. It was not. I’m pretty confident I can get that number 1 badge
Thoughts on these suggestions to PFG?
A hotfix I.e 30 Battle Pass xp per match
Top Dog Challenge rewards should be changed to 3,000 Fighter Currency and/or 500 Gleamium.
In addition perhaps introducing a road map and regular arcade mode and maybe a Boss Rush mode that includes some small rewards upon completion.
Multiple Tiers for Ranked Mode
Lastly, release any additional characters during season 1 perhaps Dexter, Samurai Jack, Bettlejuice, maybe the Powerpuff Girls?

No way. Keep the rewards for the Top Dog challenge relatively uninteresting. The entire event is literally just whoever plays the most wins. There is no rank or anything because you don’t ever lose XP. It’s literally just a player retention trap

Yes, you'll be able to you'll just need to complete the rifts. Also, personally I'd wait for the price to drop unless you really like Joker. Try him in practice mode.

I'm not sure, but every game I've played does that. They lower the price of the character that just came out when a new one shows up. I'm pretty sure that will happen here, but don't know for sure until we see.
It seems to work weird, I'm at #22 after losing a few matches and can guarantee I'd be lower than top 50 if I lost just once. It must be a small pool or based on the average (based on the higher percentile of players) instead of just the top 50, which does make the event a bit better. Rewards aren't great, but you don't have to do anything beyond playing online matches and winning. I am hopeful the next event (the T-Shirt one) is a bit more fun, we are getting a free Jason variant of Black Adam so at least there's something to look forward to in that event.

This is stupid. They are giving better rewards for having a good WR. But they know the game is basically very ass right now. So by introducing something like this they encourage players to tryhard and abuse cheese characters. This would be a good idea if they fixed the game first (I hope they do because some characters already have braindead 0-death and infinite loops)

I am playing the game for 4 to 5 days and I got placed 3rd on the leaderboard I played all the matches solo mostly with jason (im not that good of a player)

Right now I'm #1 with 15k and 2nd place guy has 8k in my 50 group and I'm just playing solo 2v2 playing batman, its just about how long you'll willing to play and grind, it's low key easy and I'm not really good just decent

The #1 in my bracket is a streamer who grinded for 30k XP in one day. Like I just don’t have that kind of time, so there’s no way I’ll be able to get #1 myself. But this event is literally just a glorified player retention trap
Exaaaacty. You really have to put so much time into climbing up. Heaven forbid someone's bracket is full of those kinds of players. 😱
There different brackets theres only 50 people in each one im number 1 in mine by twice as much as the second guy

so again a video before you actually played enough or read enough about the tourney. for everyone there's brackets of 50 random players - not more, not less. when you lose the XP doesn't reduce. my top 1 guy had 5k points and now I'm #1 with 7k for playing 2,5 hours. SO CHILL EVERYTHING IS FINE.
