Several years ago I saw Pujols say that he gets no more nervous in a game than he does when he plays in the yard with his kids. He certainly looked calm in the box. I think a routine helps calm nerves, such as in the box between pitches. Like how Ichiro had the exact same routine between every pitch for his whole career. I think you become lost in your routine and every situation feels the same because the routine is the same for every situation.
Another thing to do so you won’t be nervous for a game is practicing before you play. Similar to studying for a test. If you don’t prepare, chances are you won’t do so hot on the test. If you work hard on your swing and fielding/pitching then you’ll definitely feel more confident come game time!
You are saying that when something bad happens the mind panics. And when the mind panics it loses focus on what's coming up because it's stuck on the thought of managing the fallout of the unexpected event. Why so not literally practice the itinerary of what to do when bad events happen? It's exactly like learning to become ok with, for example, accidently cutting yourself ... the first time it's impossible to be calm ... but as an adult you have no doubt as to what you're going to do to fix it. So mentally practice, through visualization, the thoughts you will have and the feelings you have and making a series of thoughts and cues to put your mind back into more of a state of certainty. In other words ... when you get cut, even when you fix it, it still may hurt .... but even so you can still assert yourself to move forward ... you day doesn't end the instantly you feel pain.

It's great to see this... I have healed myself as well. Weedborn oils have helped me a lot.
