You are the living proof of what i said in another comment, it's great for people in countries like yours, where 5$ USD goes a long way ( very happy for you BTW 🤗) but in Canada, 5$ is pocket change. Canadians or Americans can't compete with gigs from people in Brazil, Colombia, India...

Yep. Fiverr has been a consistent side gig for me for years. I would never rely on it for a full time income (some people do however) but as a solid $300-600 a month? It's really perfect.
The other fact is that Fiverr takes a huge fee from both buyers and sellers. Living with it, adding all tax you have to pay as well becomes tough in respect to RUclips or Amazon programs.. between these Fiverr has the highest work time over revenue ratio.
Fivver is a race to the bottom just like crowdsourcing sites majority of the creators are from third world countries just trying to make a buck. What a great idea for a RUclips channel! I’ve been thinking about selling my services through Fiverr for a while and it was really helpful to see what your experience with the platform was like. I’m excited to see what other videos you make around finance will be taking notes 😂.
I started a fiverr for making animated lyric videos. I definitely starts out really slow, but as things get rolling, they seem to roll in bunches. I might try that favorite exchanging thing, though. Could definitely see that helping a lot.
Me too, it's ridiculous these people still put up with this Fiverr, don't waste your time there, find your clients outside, you don't pay those huge commissions!!!

I kind of like the platform, I only made 1 sale so far but I had to advertise it in some craigslist type website. There is a lot of competition so getting your first sales is really hard. I'm a video editor as well. Their pay cut is insane though, 20$ cut for them, plus taxes and shit... The client pays $10 CAD for a $7 CAD gig and I made a grand total of $4 off that sale.

Great video! I would recommend not doing things like the gig counter in the future. It reminds me of when you hear an artist breath on a song and then you can't unhear it.
I do fiverr recently, and took me almost two weeks to get my first buyer. Then, he gave me job every week. The first time doing it, it is 4 revision. Then, I improved my skills a little since I know what the client wants. Then, another gig with new buyer but so many revision to do it. I almost give up since I priced as low as 5-10 dollars to do animation 2d video. Wish me luck.
I'm kinda in the same boat as you, it took me 3 weeks to get my first client and he wanted a lot of revisions which I was happy to do since he was my first customer. I do game montage video editing and my prices range from 5-20 dollars, and he maxxed out the order to do the 20 dollar one plus 10 dollars which was two day shipping. at the end I worked about 5 hours in total for him, and luckily he tipped me 30 dollars so I made 48 net after fiverr took the it's cut. What I'm trying to say is that you should probably raise your prices so your not working at a very low rate per hour. cheers
Love your channel. Love Mango Street. I'm a photographer and videographer and I do want to point out that the profit you make (also you said 'profit' instead of 'revenue' which is what it would be if your costs aren't $0 - and I'm assuming they are not) is so marginal compared to the time you spend on your profile, vetting clients, communicating with clients, equipment, keeping your software/computer clean and up to date, subscriptions to Adobe and music licensing sites and stock footage sites. Sorry for the long sentence. If your price tag grows, yes this could be an option. It would be an option for someone in school trying to add to their portfolio. Part of me just doesn't like that it seems to draw customers that already have a low value for the services. Also, I know that smooth client systems are priceless and this just feels like it's setting newer creators up to fail. I'd love a version of Fiverr that vets it freelancers and sets them up with some systems and a minimum price tag to increase positive experiences. Keep making content like this! I'm fascinated.

Steam takes 30% from their devs, although its worth it due to the amount of people on there

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Fiverr is great for buyers looking for the best deal. I felt like I was competing against people who charge close to nothing for their gigs. I think it might be a great option if you live in countries where 5$ USD goes a long way, but I'm in Canada, 5$ is pocket change. I would need to complete at least 8 gigs per hour to make a basic living. Which is close to impossible... If you try charging more for your gig, you just become invisible to buyers.
You are 100% right
Just subscribed.
This was extremely realistic and informative. My favorite video so far.

Dude. You're channel is so fkn underrated.
Hello can you help me, i am from india?
When you accidentally went to Daniels old channel looking to subscribe ✌🏻
haha well if you wanna watch live shows taken from a flip camera in 2009, it's worth subscribing to!
Interesting and honest account.
First viewing of you/your account
I am slow at editing, but it’d be cool to learn how to do that a bit more as a side gig and to help me with my own videos.
Nice little side hustle to start. Over time it could snowball to recurring business and increased prices being capable after lots of pleased customers leaving reviews.
Great video!
Hope you are getting more views and subscriber! I have few ads on fiverr and haven't found any gig in last couple months for WordPress related gigs.
Holy shit, that huge calendar :))
Good video, keep up the good work!
The website is super bloated. I got a really fat portfolio and I signed up for Fiverr and never made a dime.
It's been 1.5 years of me doing Fiverr gigs. So far I :
1: bought made myself one review by creating another account
2: Completed on request
3: got another message which didn't lead to anything.
And after 1.5 years of hard hustling with all expenses and cuts I am "1%" in profit which I didn't transferred yet. I love this website.
You mean you made a lot of money? Good for you man.
Production quality is CRAZY bro I'm keen to see more content from you
This was somewhat inspirational. Great stuff dude!
Great image quality and edit, you've got a great aesthetic going on. There's a bit of whitenoise in the background coming from your mic though.
yep, my building has a lot of ambient noise that makes recording audio challenging. thanks for watching!
I love your giant calendar! Great video, *subscribed* 😊
I really like the videography going on :)
I actually appreciated the content. Thanks for the information.
“Side income” for me is almost double of what my current job pays :,)
This was awesome info! Thanks a lot. Really looking forward to the next video.
next video is a fun one :)
This is such a great video. Very realistic and highly insightful. Would you be continuing the gigs by any chance? Would be interesting to see an updated video maybe 2-3 months from now.
Pure content! Infact a great story telling

Totally not related, but I've always enjoyed how crispy your audio is.
