Happy Friday, all! Today I'm revisiting a watercolor technique that I shared a year ago--faux dip dye. I'm also using two new dies from Simon Says Stamp's latest release. I used the new I Adore You die and Triangle Element die. These two dies together are awesome!

I am home from work sick today and have been binge-watching your videos. You have helped me understand the watercolor technique so much better! One tip I will pass along that I learned from someone else is to cut your dies from white craft foam. They give a 3D look, and you don't have to glue layers of paper together. Thank you Kristina!
Very cool watercolour technique. I’ve got to try this. Thank you for sharing!
Love all your card making ❤️❤️❤️❤️ beautiful card
Love this look, Kristina! I remember in one of the Online Card Classes (I think one on watercolor, maybe?) there was a lesson on faux dip dye. I believe Debby Hughes taught it. It involved getting one layer of watercolor to kind of creep up the paper. I never got it to work very well. Total user error and impatience on my part, I'm sure! LOL I will have to try this method. I love the bold graphic quality you achieved. The torn edge at the bottom of the panel is a unique touch, too. Thanks so much for sharing, & have an awesome day! :)
loved the card, great colours ! Thanks for the demo on how to do this faux dip Kristina.
I wasn't sure at first if I was going to like those dark colors at the bottom. But WHAT a surprise! Great card!
I remember your pink/purple background! I made one like it and loved it! Thanks for the inspiration
Very pretty. I like the transition to black at the bottom torn edge. Thanks for always including little tips and hints that make projects easier and more exact.
Love this technique!
Gorgeous card. Thank you!
Love it! Very pretty card, and I really liked watching the water coloring on this! I've also seen where someone has traced around the die for the outline of the words for a background - I would do that because I would be nuts trying to draw around the letters the way you do. I'm just not that good at it. You did a wonderful job!
Love this! It’s a must try technique. I love how you made your own shadow using the vellum. ❤️
Great card-love the dip dye effect. (I must have missed the original post). My favorite part is your treatment of the sentiment. I will definitely try that.
I love the triangle element die, another fantastic technique. Beautiful card!
Really beautiful card Kristina. Thank you for inspiring us!
Gorgeous! I love the graphic triangles on the stunning watercoloured background 😍
Beautiful card! 💜
Kristina, your card is as always astounding and amazing. Love that your tutorials always give new techniques. So appreciate your sharing and inspiring.
Honestly Kristina. Do you EVER make a card that isn't amazing? WOW, this is a beauty!
Beautiful card. I didn't know that you'd have to make so many layers of color. You make it seem effortless.
This card is absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing 👏🏻
Gorgeous ♥️♥️♥️
I absolutely love the technique you did to make a shadow die using velum for intricate dies!! BEAUTIFUL variation of color on the finished piece! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love your idea Thank you
I really love this card!! The torn edge looks so cool and different 😍
As always amazing
Enjoyed these colors. Hope you do more ink blends at some point.
The idea to put vellum behind the die and create the shadow was awesome 👏
The faux dip dyed effect is perfect
Hi Kristina,
I’ve noticed now you’re using a different die cutting machine. What made you switched from your old one?
Beautiful!
😍😍😍. So pretty!
Gorgeous. if a person didn't have any watercolur paints, could you use oxides? Or reinkers? And any advice re: how many colours to use?
This really reminds me of misty mountains in the distance (maybe they Great Smokies).
Beautiful! I was very surprised to see you add black at the bottom. When I first saw the card, I just saw a deep, intense hunter green at the bottom, not black. 🤔🤔😳
Thank you!
love it. thanks!
Another pretty card thank you
Lovelyyy
I love it😍
Can you give a tip on how to get layers together easily as I’m having trouble getting them stacked?
I saw another artist cut her designs from white craft foam. They look awesome, are 3D and you don't have to do all the gluing of the paper die cut stack! Try it.
is there a reason you tore the bottom edge, or is it just for looks.
Nice
