Had I known it was this easy to make, I would've started making this years ago instead of going to the ice cream shop. Thanks!

I was taught to melt chocolate on the DEFROST setting only so it won’t burn. It works beautifully!

Back in the 70's they had a dessert that came in a box like pudding does. You mixed it with cold milk and then poured it into dessert dishes and placed in fridge. After about an hour, it would separate into 3 layers. Pudding layer on the bottom, mousse layer in the middle and magic shell on top. Came in a number of different flavors like Caramel, Vanilla, Milk Chocolate, Butterscotch etc. Can't remember the name of the product now, but your video reminded me of it.

I know there is a jello 1-2-3 recipe, I have a recipe for that on my blog, but I don't know how to work in the magic shell to that though.

Thanks looks very easy. I'm trying to find out what is being put on my scalp that covers it and sticks to it in a layer like magic shell. Wasn't thinking though, for magic shell to work the items you pour it on have to be cold.

I never even thought about making this at home. So simple! Will this harden at room temperature? I'm trying to find a way to easily make chocolate "cups" that hold up at room temperature to put a scoop of ice cream into. The recipes I've found seem complicated. Either way, this is worth a try for sure over some ice cream. Thanks!

Have you thought about using silicone muffin tins? I think you could use this as a base, but swap the ratio for more chocolate. You could paint the chocolate into the silicon muffin tins, pop them into the fridge and when they harden pop them out.

I also would like to know if it hardens at room temperature. Does it require refrigeration?

Although I believe if it's called dark chocolate it should legally not have any cows milk in it however. Not all dark chocolate is vegan. You have to read the ingredient list on the back of the container. 😊
