I’ve been noticing that too. Looks like someone is suppressing btc.
The selling is always at the same price. Sells seem to be at 62-64k like clockwork.
Its the collective powers that be. They know there is no price support at certain times and they sell more than orders support. The shake out of the stop losses makes up for what they lose to limit orders already in place then they catch it all at a predetermined bottom. They can see all your stop loss sets. They keep the price low so China can buy.
George is right, there's something unsettling about this halving cycle. WIth all the positives outweighing the negatives, BTC should be performing a lot better. We've been stuck in this rut. '1 step fwd, 2 steps back' for a while. I'll be still holding mine. Realistically, I'm looking at around $80k to $85k by the start of Q4.
Well to be 4x from bear market lows and considering diminishing returns as market cap grows, id say we aren't doing half bad. Probably end up with somewhere around a 10x from bear market lows, I think there's 2-3x potential from here by the end of this cycle. Regardless my plan is to trim crypto and proxies like btc miners etc by late 2024 and throughout 2025.
Don't let your emotions get into the way of profit. Previous cycle needed half a year after the halving for the bull run to go off. There is institutional money coming but those things take time: large decisions, lots of meetings, but it's big money.
I'm sorry George but this bearishness is making me more bullish.

Look at the US Gov.
I heard a few weeks ago that they had started moving a massive amount of the BTC taken from Silk Road on to exchanges.
They could be off loading that slowly at a mow big profit from when it was siezed.

Btc does hit 52k I’ll have to buy some more. NFA but this could be a normal consolidation in a bull market? The problem is we have already had several consolidations without big pumps, just small rises back to before the dips. Hopefully this is all just in the normal consolidation realm and we do get a parabolic phase as normal.

I’m not sure but I’m guessing you use the magic wand color correction with the vivid filter right in Apple photos with these. They look fine but the greens are very lush and the blues are fairly pronounced. Anyways BTC is either going to break down to 52ish or it will dip a bit and slowly arc into this summer with a recovery. Even if we can know who is selling public pressure doesn’t necessarily mean they will stop. Anyone can buy and anyone can sell. Obviously we want the buyers but despite the volatility BTC is in a very healthy position with a higher price than anytime before the last several months. If we didn’t have ETFs and we’re at the place we are now I think everyone would be psyched. I just think this cycle is all funky and unpredictable because of ETFS, institutions, widespread inflation, etc. I am short to mid term bullish but over the next year very bullish. You know as much as anyone how quickly things can turn. Just gotta roll with the punches and be careful on the degen plays.

BCH is up about 300% in one year, over twice as much as BTC..
Many top meme coins are still at the same rankings or higher than they were when we had the meme coin boom so while they're bleeding, at least they're not bleeding to other altcoin sectors.

Hey George! I'm curious as to what metrics you're using to measure ETH's performance and in relation to what? In May of 2020, we were sitting at around .02 ETH/BTC dominance. Today, we are at around .048 well over twice as high from where we we're in 2020, the last BTC halving. Also, ETH is around 45% off its previous all-time high. Last cycle we were, over 85% down in May. I'm not saying this is great performance and that things aren't going to deteriorate. However, it's still clearly better than the last cycle at this point. I regularly here influencers complain about ETH's lagging performance but rarely ever give any numbers. A lot of people out here seem to operate mainly on emotions.
