I would imagine that if one of the debt collector was viewing his instagram account with all his lavish spendings while knowing fernando still owed him 70k, he would in doubt be furious. Why didn't Fernando buy a few less luxury cars? he clearly had the money to pay back his debtors. Stupid choices lead to bad results.

      A lot of people have the mentality of "You need money to make money". In some cases, that's true, but something like this is wrong. Most likely he didn't want to pay his debts because he wants to use that money to make more money and then pay the debt. The biggest problem with that is it's kinda like gambling with other people's money. Spending your own money to make money is fine because if you were wrong, you lost your own money. If you lose other people's money, well, you're f$%^ked.

    Quick vocab tip/correction. It wouldn’t be “mortifying” for kids to find a dismembered body in a suitcase. It’s “mortifying” if you invited guests over and your house was trashed because you forgot to clean up after a party, or if you ruined all the food you were cooking for a holiday dinner. Or if your bathing suit came off at a pool party when you dove in the water in front of everyone. Mortify means to experience shame, humiliation or wounded pride. Although mortify can also mean to discipline one’s body and the appetites by self-denial or self inflicted privation, particularly for religious reasons.
    I’m not trying to be an ass, I just figured an intelligent person who does what you do for work would want to be constantly improving their vocabulary/not accidentally misuse words. Awesome video by the way, keep up the quality work.

      @sakura613 14 дней назад +8

      It is not incorrect to use that word. It means death. it’s used as a metaphor for extreme embarrassment-the kind when you feel like you’ll die from it.
      Mortify ultimately comes from the Late Latin verb mortificāre, meaning “to put to death,” from Latin mors, “death,” and the verb facere, “to do.” Mors is the root of many other death-related words, like mortal.
      In a literal sense, when a part of the body mortifies, it undergoes tissue death-the death of a localized area of the body, such as due to a lack of blood supply to that part.

      Makes more sense if you consider he might've had some sort of undiagnosed mental disorder. The fact that he only ever told one person about the _alleged_ kidnapping is a bit of a red flag, because that's indicating paranoia getting in the way of him making rational decisions.
      I know a lot of people would point at his behavior before his death as not being one of a suicidal person, but how many times do we watch videos from channels like Coffehouse Crime where some suicide or murder-suicide has friends and neighbors going "oh my god, he/she seemed so happy, I never would've guessed!" At this point we all should've learned not to take a person's outward behavior as indisputable proof they aren't hiding some sort or internal struggle.

Half of his net worth was to go to his ex-wife through the divorce along with $19K/month in alimony and child support. As a physician, he was making around $350-400K/year. All things pointed to a bleak outlook for him and likely drove him to take his own life. Keep in mind his disappearance was shortly after his divorce court ruling.

    The thing is with crypto When you die you're the only one who has access to your crypto wallet and those assets will sit there indefinitely unless you've given direction and access to your loved ones. It's not like a bank. That cold storage thumb drive gets tossed with all your other thumb drives. That's a problem.

    Hello Adrian! You do these all the time, so I gotta ask, how is YOUR mental health? You holding up alright? Enjoying life, going out? Sipping on some coffee and just watching the early morning rains? I live out in the woods and nothing recharges the soul like sitting on my back patio with my awning up and watching the rainfall. It's therapeutic in the purest sense.
