i like how there personality matches with there content so much like boosfer usually does manhunt so he was focused on getting geared up and make cringe jokes but rekrap was chill and was wandering around just like he does in lifesteal smp cause he knows he will have to win the fight with whatever he has or he loses life heart/game

The first few moves were actually reasonable. Boosfer played the Queen's Gambit and Rekrap responded with the Chigorin Defense
until he blundered his queen at 7:58
I'm pretty sure he just moved his pinned knight from f3 and there's a bishop on g4

an "extreme chess" or a "chesshunt" tourney would be so intense, its not just pvp skill, its also time management and chess skill (also we would be able to see if a player has other skills in life other than minecraft, its like tommyinnits got talent show but chess+pvp version)
Hmm maybe after each move the board disappears giving some prep time, then the board relocates to a position, after said amount of prep time, within the boundaries of 1000x1000 of location of the chessboard.

@@ingnitedtoast4312 No I actually love this idea. Having it declare where it's going to move could allow for trap building in the future too. Like imagine there are areas that the chess board moves every 30 or so minutes it would allow players to use their time trapping a future spot

Win or lose : Checkmate, Timeout, Resignation, Stalemate
Draw : Stale mate, Agreement, Ran out of materials... (a lot more lol)
if anyone is curious as to why Boosfer survived the TNT minecarts:
his feet weren't exposed, so the damage was halved
I really like how Boosfer is starting to get creative with his videos. Even if not everything is going to blow up in views, the variety is definitely worth it!

The problem with tnt, if there are blocks below you seperating you from the tnt they will negate the damage. Tnt works best when delivered from above and no blocks are in the way. Youll notice that people only start taking damage once the the initial layer of blocks is destroyed

This should be in the next MCC. Have the teams rotatate turns while also trying to destroy eachother. Though cut own the time alot cuz not everyone has 2 hours to spend on 1 game.
I would love to see you do this with others, and also, I haven’t checked, but if there’s a link in the desc for adding this, I’m totally gonna play this way against my friends bc this is so freaking fun looking, and so creative! If you came up with the idea, gj, but also just gj on the video either way!

I love this new kind of content. the videos ideas are super interesting, and it’s never the same unlike manhunts.
Normally I don't like it when a chess match is won by time with no clear lead in position.
But this is an exception. I would love to see more of these.

13:55 I think the explanation is that explosion damage only cares about touching the lower half of the body. And I think you were at edge of the explosion with most of the tnt carts getting sent up after the explosion knocked you away so it wouldn’t have knocked you away

I wasn't sure I would like this at first, since I'm not usually a huge fan of chess, but this video proved me wrong. Probably the funniest, most intense game of chess I have ever witnessed. Great video!
Here's you a twist idea for one of these. Three people. Mix of chess and manhunt. Two players play against one another on chess, with the same rules as established except for the following changes; There is a zone around the chess board that those two can enter and leave, but the third player cannot enter. The third player has a compass that points to the chess player with the actively ticking timer.
This is a really entertaining concept! I would love to see it with teams of 2 to spice up the dynamics of playing the game / gearing up

You didnt die at 13:30 because the difficulty of the server is probably easy or normal where end crystals and tnt minecarts do significantly less damage.
13:49 you survived because the grass muffles the explosion damage and radius, just like with redstone. Also, it wasn't 1 or 2 blocks from you, it was 4 or 5, so it was guaranteed to fail anyways.
Being a chess player. They started off pretty well with the queen's gambit to slave defense btw.
This fuses the two things I love, chess, and minecraft, my cup of tea :D

I think the reason why you took so little damage from the tnt minecarts was the bedrock surrounding the chess board
I didnt know boosfer knew how to play chess (well) we plays queens gambit at the begining idk if it was on purpose but that is a really good opening. I play the Kings gambit as my opening and I can see any opening gambit is great.
Theres a book series called the demonata and part of it is exactly like this. One person plays chess and the other fights an opponent
