My itch is growing. I can't find any blooming lilies. The daisies are pretty too. This music is your soul pouring out into the world. Thanks! Beautiful atmosphere. 💐
My soul? Yeah. Letting it all hang out without fear of consequences. Thanks to encouragement from a few close friends. I'm nothing special, not a seer or prophet or guru, not a leader, certainly not a missionary. Just a musician who has been around the block a few more times. Thanks for dropping by, my friend.
@@MarciaStockton Sometimes I read John's poems to your music. I was intrigued and found your channel. John's poems are... interesting.💫 What I wrote here is the first association of your text with music. A bit anarchist. I am quite old too. But I am still a rebel. Or at least I want to be. 👻🤟
@@maxisound2 A few of my compositions have original poetry with them. I put these together into a playlist for those who enjoy this kind of material • The Book of Hours ruclips.net/p/PLqDXbTVnRqIyLhA86wHil24wxiyL5yo0Z
Wonderful poetry, Marcia... and I love this beautiful presentation! The music is awesome.. transports us back a millenia... to a time when consumerism wasn't even a concept... A spiritual delight... Excellent work!
@@DeepsongProductions IDK about that but thanks all the same! The concept for this playlst is the medieval Book of Hours. They were devotional books, hand made and often beautifully illuminated, that were popular in centuries past, containing psalms, scriptures, and even clerical offices to be used at different hours of the day and night. I think I have a couple more in me, let's see what happens.
Excellent composition, Marcia!!!! Feels very "Pre-Baroque." Not sure whether I mean Medieval or Rennaissance. I never quite was able to identify the periods of music before Bach!
I'm with you on that, Chris. I had to take one semester of medieval/renaissance music in college but hated that particular professor so I admit I was not paying attention very well. In high school we used to sing renaissance motets and masses, that is where my experience of renaissance music mostly lies. Thanks for dropping by the channel, and I wish you all the best now that you have hit 1000 subscribers!
