I got a huge grin when he jumped that Indian. It's my favorite bike out there right now, and being from Oklahoma, these are some of the rides I want to get into.
I was racing MX in the 80’s and early 90’s. Guy Cooper was one of the riders I followed and why I raced Honda’s. Cool that you got to see all the history and meet him.
Adam, awesome riding man and that FTR is BA! Going to be interesting to see what dirt bike you really do end up with next. Nice shoutout to M$B too! Going to be awesome when you two get together one day for an adventure I hope. Keep living the dream! Thanks for all you do!
I remember when we were young, skinny and strong enough to pick up a Harley with one 🖐.....lmao....welcome to the club brother....Road and Adventure. Perfect combo. Cover all the fun. Ride Safe and Definitely Stay Stubborn 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻😎💫
When I was a kid I bought a kawi mojave 250 thought it was a Lakota 300 so I didn’t use the clutch for two days my second day was in the woods deep and I laughed good when you said “I’m not ready for this; I’ve done nothing like this before” it’s tiring I can only imagine with a big top heavy bike
It was a fun day Adam and let me know if you plan on doing an Adventure/Dual Sport event near K River. I'll bring the faithfully Indian FTR1200S.......hopefully with a skid plate by then.
Nicely done man, give yourself a pat on the back. Single track on that bike is not easy, at all. What the other guy did on that Indian was amazing too, damn!!! Great vid!
Respect to you guys driving those massive bikes on that little trail. I was also impressed with how he handled that FTR on the dirt. Nice job. So now are you going to get a WR450F and do some proper enduro? I warn you, once you start, you won't stop.
Yea Ashley that's what is awesome about your channel you don't leave anything out. Good with the bad thats life just be stubborn. Just be careful bikenbird didn't do so well on dirt and trails. We wish him well. 🇺🇸🐾🍻
I've been looking at the Ténéré 700 too. It's 53 to 84 pounds lighter than the Africa Twin, but still a big bike. Go for it and keep it at your camp so I can ride it next year. :) Your camp is great for 4-wheelers and prolly just as good for single-tracking as well. Give it a go. It will be _another_ reason to come visit Butch and the gang.
Right on. I took my FTR to the local enduro track in the woods (looks just like this one) and had a BLAST. Only thing is it ran so hot at slower speeds, obviously, and I got the warning lights on. But with a pair of Michelin Anakee tyres on it it did ok.
Great episode! This was like Adam Sandoval meets American Pickers. Have to laugh because every time I watch an episode that ends with “life is short...buy the damn motorcycle,” I hear my wife, no matter where she is in the house, yell “You already have one!”
If you open up something like this at your place it will bring in different breeds of motorcyclists. I think it would be a great idea. Just find more land close and set up a club house. Find land with alot of wooded area. You can harvest what you need to build.
@@adamsandoval that's so awesome. I hope to get up there to Visit some time. I had planned to this summer and sh#@ just went south in life. 😄😄 I couldn't "bye the damn motorcycle" 😂😂 I'm in Bentonville. Things will shift in my favor, I believe in it. Thanks for being you man 👍 As always keep on keeping on✌
Lost my key in Mexican Food restaurant once, was freaked out, somebody turned it into the manger at the restaurant and i was good, but I was a good 100 miles from home and my wife was not keen on making the rescue drive, lol
That's the only shaft drive pedal bike I've ever seen. What a trip. And to your question, hell yeah cut in some single track at the Kriver. I've seen lots of dirt bikes there, and it would give folks even more to do. Pretty soon you'll have a drag strip and oval track. :P :P
You gotta do this, it's not like you don't have the land.. You could move the mini bike race out there also, that way no cows will hit any street bikes 🤣 Awesome video brother. God Bless
Super excited to see your thoughts on the African Twin vs the T7. I've been waiting on the T7 to come out before I buy. Not much comparisons between those 2 yet
Good Vid! You should do the "LA to Barstow to Vegas" DS Ride. 2020 will be the 37th Annual LA-BtoV! It's always on Thanksgiving weekend, Friday and Saturday, 200 to 250 mi each day, Hard Route, Easy Route, and Adventure Bike Route! This is the GranDaddy of all Dual Sport Rides! We usually have over 500 Riders! I've been doing it for the last 17 years. C'mon, C'mon, C'mon!!!
that looked like a ton of fun and type of riding i like to do. you said yourself those guys been riding for years and have lots of experience. you seen what most were riding right... t7 is a great bike but still to big n heavy. you will have way more fun on something smaller.
Wow Adam. Another great event. Seems like you find all the best ones or just don’t report on the others. Riding and meet great people as well as see eye opening things. Seeing that FTR the riding position he was in and the ability to handle that terrain makes me think about moving from the KTM to that bike. Anyways awesome episode. Keep them coming.
I feel like the Ténéré 700 is probably a better all around bike than the AT. However, all dual sport bikes are a compromise. The T700 is better off-road, lighter, and is less technical than the AT. The AT is most likely the better paved road / gravel road, long-distance machine. But, to ride single track, Jeep trails, Fire lanes, dirt and gravel roads, I feel like you’d be happier on a lighter CRF450L or even a KTM 500 EXC-F. KTM’s are maintenance intensive, but, if you do the prescribed maintenance, they are trouble free and a real blast to ride, and did I say ride “fast”! I raced enduro and reliability trials, with motocross thrown in just to keep us on our toes, back in the 70’s and 80’s. Off-road racing then was mostly single track. A light, narrow, fast machine could test your limits, regardless of its engine size! Be sure to pick a new bike that is going to fit your riding style and then “buy the damn motorcycle” (as you say) lol!!!! I’ve been riding 54 years and still enjoy off-road! Yes.... put together a KRIVER event! They will come! “I can see the line, feel the bars twitch, hear the leaves rustle, see the wind, smell the pines and pre-mix in the air, anytime; because I believe!” Quote: Willy Austin When I was 15, my mother said, “That motorcycle has gotten into your blood!” Only now, over fifty years later, I fully appreciate and understand what she meant. Ride safe my friend........
Huffin and uh Puffin all outta breath !! NOW !! you are doing some riding lol not that the tat was easy but man ! That single track through the woods type riding is what I did back when, I loved this show Bud and if you would try a smaller/easier to handle bike that would also handle that type of terrain better you would love it even more. Great show Bud and God Bless You ! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🗽🥓

I personally owned a triumph tiger 800 and it wooped the tenere in all aspects. One big one is its only around 400 pounds. My friend baught on new and road it to the tip of Alaska in 3 weeks from central Iowa. Bad ass bike. I would have another if my riding style and life wouldn't have changed the way it did.
Dude! That was Awesome! The bicycles from the turn of the century were the icing on the cake. What was that like in person? Smells? I am guessing pretty cool. G
Great video Adam, I was actually going to ask if you had any trails at the Kriver to ride the Africa twin on? And also is there any single track to ride a mountain bike (bicycle) on as well? Thanks Mark.
Hell yes set a ride like this up. I have 500 miles of dirt rds just in my county here SE Alabama. I have a camp ground and opening a shop. Look it up on IG Angry Old Guys
Its a damn shame what Harley is doing to Million Dollar Bogan. I seen alot of people respond to his last video and wondering if you were ever going to. Out of all the motorcycle channels I am subscribed to yours and MDB always gets a thumbs up before I even watch the video. Another awesome video Adam. Stay safe brother.
Adam, That ride looks like a lot of fun. I saw two Bikers dressed like you are in the video, on Sunday I was at Tim Horton’s here in Saskatoon they were riding Bikes I’ve never seen before. It was 25 degrees here. Do you still have the Zero?

WOW yes Guy Cooper what an honor to see him wish I was there with you to shake his hand. One Hell of a rider..

The guy on the FTR is a bad ass rider!
You met some very dool folks that day. loved the museum and all the history!
Glad to know I'm not the only one that makes those noises when I drop my Africa Twin.
At 7:45 I'm glad to see even experienced guys accidentally still grab the front brake on dirt!

She's a keeper!! Don't lose that woman.
What a great single track .... but I wouldn't ride it on a bike as big as the AT... lol
That’s a heavy bike. You gave her hell! That’s the spirit!
Adam u are the best bud i love watching ur videos on RUclips i live in Australia, I wish I could be there wth you.
Yes you should put something like this at the KRIVER if for nothing else so you can go ride it.
Being located in OKC, I can't believe I didn't know about this ride. I may have to take my FTR this fall.

Huge fan of ASR. Watching an FTR like mine kick butt out there was great. Awesome!
Adam, watching you pick up the Africa Twin help me decide that I’ll buy a XT250.
It made me glad for my WR250F on trails. I pick that thing up 3 or 4 times, no sweat. There's a reason Enduros are so light and small on CCs.
I think this is my favorite vid you’ve done. Big time fun. 🤙

I think the Yamaha is heavier than the Honda
Used to take Fatboy on dirt. Got a rock stuck thru final belt. Bitch to change. Now I have a Suzuki GS750e chain drive that is my trail bike.
A lighter bike is going to be much better for the single track stuff. Sounds like you are getting the dirt riding bug

2, 50 by 100’s and 1, 40’ by 80'
