Spent a lot of time there as a kid in the 50’s as my adoptive grandparents Albert and Bertha Angle owned a homestead there after they sold Togwotee Lodge. There was a wonderful Scandinavian community buffet there every year in the Spring.

Nice video on a wonderful little town. We were there earlier this year and loved it...especially our dinner at Cowboy Cafe!

Hey is Welty’s open? We used to stop in Dubois on our way to Jackson for many years and going to Welty’s was a highlight. But a couple years ago it was closed and looked permanently shut down.

40 years ago I stopped in Dubois, got a room at a motel because the next morning I wanted to head West, with the sun at my back, so I could see & photograph the Grand Tetons as I continued driving west. You really want to drive West, early in the morning for your first views of the Grand Tetons rising straight out of the ground. Stop & take those photos.
I've been using a french pronunciation of the town name, Dubois. From now on I'll pronounce it correctly.
    Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada😆🤣😂

Actually if you are from WY, you put even more accent on the ‘DOO’ syllable.

How do people make a living out there?
Do most rely on tourism and opening a business?
But still, you don't have many customers in such a secluded town, do you?
    Just wondering.

It's a combo of tourism, forestry, ranching, and such. Classic Wyoming living.
