reminds me a lot of the army ofhe dead guy from the LOTR movies, great job man I think he looks awesome! I have a grinder on the way now, i wanna make a somewhat more detailed/realistic barn owl soon, so i think im gonna need it fpr that one. it takes 1/4 as well as 1/8 bits, like 6 speeds or something.. The brand is Vevor if im not mistaken, specs seem decent for the price but we shall see :).
Thanks man, that’s what I was trying to achieve… I think you’re going to like the grinder, I have a video coming up, showing some 6mm burrs. Hope to get the vid up today. Hope all is good, will be interesting to see what you do with the grinder!🌝
i want some 6mm ones eventually, ill use the 3mm ones to start since i already have those, probably work best for the smaller carvings anyway i imagine. The grinder i ordered does look fine, the skinnier handle part has some rubberized texture and stuff, hope not completely cheaping out will help with vibrations etc :)@@wood-psyche
@@MathieusChainsawCarvings I’m doing a review on the 6mm kutzall & saburrtooth coarse burrs, hopefully get it up soon but my edit software is having issues with audio tracks at the moment. I recommend both companies almost comparatively! 🌝 I think you’ll find die grinders an interesting addition to your tools!
@@wood-psyche i did order a saburtooth flame burr, i think for me its probably the most versatile one, for making like beaks and talons etc, I was looking at the ball shape as well but maybe later :). Since your latest vid Ive been looking at the kutsall ones as well. i tried the grinder/burr a little bit today just to get a feel for it and see what it can do basicly. i think i will use it a lot for certain things . so besides the grinder i ended up buying 1 6mm shaft burr for almost the same price as the grinder haha. and some face/hearing protection combo as well so i wont blind myself or anything like that :).
@@MathieusChainsawCarvings Sounds cool, I’m working on this skull now with the die grinder, it rips through the wood fast. I usually start with the sphere for rough out. Definitely Saburrtooth kicks ass but I have to admit Kutzall is really decent as well. Only have a couple days left at the farm, I’m looking forward to getting back to serious carving and video production for youtube. Have to say farm work is some of the most time consuming work there is, long hours etc. Hope you enjoy the new tools and good luck on the web stuff!🌝
