Just gonna note that even on the PS1 version, when phoning a friend they would actually say the full answer and not just "I'd choose B". This seems very cheaply made
funny thing is, wouldn't it be partly a sign of the opposite? the ps1 version had few enough questions and few enough voices reading them out that they could fit the audio for all the answers and voice combinations. This phone a friend has interchangeable comedy skits not directly related to the question. also, any updates or additional questions can be smaller file size. yeah, it still sucks though. But it isn't actually cheaper, just focused more on being efficient.

It's funny how for the one piece question the correct answer isn't even just a character that's not on his crew, but just not even the name of a character. They could have had Buggy as the answer, and it would have been much better.
It was the second question of that round. Thats how those early questions are supposed to be is a dumb clear answer like that. If they put a character in the show that simply wasnt part of the crew that would be a harder question and should be placed higher up in that case to be worth more money.

To be fair the English language is a mess in itself, then when you throw British and American spelling into the mix it can be a real headache. I still stumble over the same words I've had to look up the spelling of multiple times, like 'necessary" because my brain always thinks there's an a in there somewhere as that's what I hear when I say it aloud. But also our brains don't always see the obvious answers when under pressure. XD
Apparently "minuscule" is the original spelling, but "miniscule" has become so common now that it's treated as a variant and isn't actually wrong. So it's an unfair question. I want an appeal.
You want to talk about an unfair question- "How many continents are there?" is hotly debated and entirely different depending on what you're calling a continent. Is it separate cultures? 7. Is it separate tectonic plates? 6. And that's even without getting into whether Antarctica is a continent.
How is it an unfair question? Being a variant means it's a correct spelling, and all the other options were unarguably incorrect. Even if you didn't know how to spell it, you could eliminate all the incorrect spellings and still come to the same conclusion.
@@AngelicEra I didn't know there were 2 versions, I only knew the miniscule version. I suppose it's still serving it's purpose as a question, but using a word with 2 spellings is sketchy.

Some notes on WWTBAM: The show's title is derived from a song composed by Cole Porter for the movie High Society. Ironically, the song answers the question, "I don't." The physical hot seat is deliberately uncomfortable in order to increase the stress level of the contestants. The armrests barely work, it tips over unless you sit up perfectly straight or lean on the armrests or your knees, and even if the chair was balanced correctly, the back is curved to offer you no support.
Further notes: Regis Philbin hosted all American primetime versions of the show until the 2020 celebrity reboot, and his final civilian contestant on primetime was the first to provide an incorrect response to the million dollar question that wasn't later retracted due to fact-checking errors.
The spaghetti harvest was a thing according to a BBC special in the 50s. Something like that, there was a joke broadcast I think on the bbc that claimed that spaghetti grows on trees. Love how Kiwo actually thinks he's on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" at first.

Yeah and then having three of members as the other options and not mixing it up with atleast one with either Brook or Franky
It was the second question of that round. Thats how those early questions are supposed to be is a dumb clear answer like that.
If they put a character in the show that simply wasnt part of the crew that would be a harder question and should be placed higher up in that case to be worth more money.
Why are you weeb
@@FarikoUnited1 I guess, but I've seen harder questions in early rounds before so I kinda doubt that it's that well put together.
The Raphael Coundrum is whether or not to have pizza before or AFTER fighting Shredder and his goons.

Eating too much pizza would stuff you and make you feel sick so it ought to be after the fight has been fought. Also, pizza is an excellent celebration food and eating it before a fight would be getting ahead of oneself and possibly lead to failure. :)

Given that the context is "Italian man's pet in an American movie," you might not think to pronounce it like that even if you knew in other situations that's how it's pronounced. I want to hate him, but that's still absolutely legendary.
I know no one cares but for the Legend of the Galactic Heroes question the answer is none of them. Kaiser Freidrich IV legally bought Annerose Musel from Reinhard's father. It was actually one of his estranged lovers Baroness Benemunde who was jealous that Friedrich had chosen Annerose as his concubine and thrown her out of the palace.

For anyone watching the spelling question: RT is an English major, by the way.
English writing is stupid anyway
To be fair the English language is a mess in itself, then when you throw British and American spelling into the mix it can be a real headache. I still stumble over the same words I've had to look up the spelling of multiple times, like 'necessary" because my brain always thinks there's an a in there somewhere as that's what I hear when I say it aloud.
But also our brains don't always see the obvious answers when under pressure. XD
The fact that he got an English related question for the final question really put the cherry on top.

Bro what a coincidence that he got a question about Up playing as Carl
9:25 That's like one of the newest hip anime, Legoshi, Louise and Haru are all over the internet. Now we know Dan doesn't watch anime.
@@Dolthra Also sunken continents like Zealandia and Mauritia
How is it an unfair question? Being a variant means it's a correct spelling, and all the other options were unarguably incorrect. Even if you didn't know how to spell it, you could eliminate all the incorrect spellings and still come to the same conclusion.
@@AngelicEra I didn't know there were 2 versions, I only knew the miniscule version.
I suppose it's still serving it's purpose as a question, but using a word with 2 spellings is sketchy.
@@Dolthra You could technically say there are only 4 continents using the common sense method of land connectivity. Afro-Eurasia, America, Australia, and Antarctica.
The modern world has a supercontinent.
4 isn't even an option.
I hope this isn't the shit they pulled on the actual show, it's ridiculous. They could just say one of the options you didn't pick is the correct one.
Some notes on WWTBAM:
The show's title is derived from a song composed by Cole Porter for the movie High Society. Ironically, the song answers the question, "I don't."
The physical hot seat is deliberately uncomfortable in order to increase the stress level of the contestants.
