A guilty one, that is to say, at a point, but the proof that she was important for the most important person in the world in her eyes. Trust worthy. And if not loved, worth of the attention of her Rose. Something so sad and yet at a time in the Gem history, a very personal joy.
Hence why the episode "Rose's Scabbard" really hit me with the feels. My number favorite episode, and the fact that Rose is Pink Diamond just creates a new perspective which made me love the episode even more!
