Man you are doing a more thorough job than Horizon is doing!! I learned more about my checker by watching this!!! Good stuff man!!! Please keep sharing more of this nerdy goodness!!!
Tim Belongia it’s two different voltage meters. Using the balance port it is using the meter from the Smart Checker. When you use just the IC3 SMART Connector it is using the on board meter built into the SMART Battery. There are some inconsistencies due to the meters being not calibrated with each other.
The RC Air Marshall Thanks, that makes sense. There is even a difference when using a non-smart battery. I’ll just have to try not being so anal with the mismatch!
Great video! I liked and subscribed. I just got back into the hobby after 20 years and I couldn't believe how technology has changed. I bought the smart charger and it's so simple to use with smart batteries. I just bought this smart checker tonight and watched this video before I ever opened the box. Now I have a really good understanding of it. Thanks!
great info; thanks. Do you have to set the output voltage for the servo tester? ie. using a 3s or 4s battery when testing a 4-6 volt servo? Also the voltage for the output of USB port ? thanks...
You do not, it regulates all that for you. With that said, not sure how it would work with high voltage servos... I don't have any here to test it with...
Dave whenever I click on the 1520uS the servo screen doesn’t pop up. It just makes the beep. I have everything plugged in correctly and did it exactly like you did? How do you fix this or do I need to return it?
I would first try and update the firmware and see if reloading the software has any impact on the error you’re seeing. If that doesn’t help, then contact Spektrum support
@@TheRCAirMarshall oh ok thank you Dave! Mine has just arrived! Never had a lipo checker in my life till now. I really started to feel like I needed one. I guess I got the best of the best! I also got this so I can check my servos if they are bad out of the box on new planes.
I have a bunch of the E-flite 7.4V 280mAH batteries and the EFLA700UM Charge and Balance Adapter. What is the correct way to hook this up to the XBC100! In other words, do I just hook up the balance lead off the EFLA700UM or do I need to get an adapter for the EFLA700UM xt60 female connection to the XBC100 IC3 connection and hook it up also? Thank you
Hello Does anyone know how good the Logic RC Fusion Smart Alarm Lithium Battery Checker And Alarm FS-BC06 is or do know where I can finde a review about it, I couldn't find any anywhere. 😔

Thanks for the review on the smart checker .Just bought one
Nice job Dave I really like your level of detail in your review!
Victor Shamulus thanks!

Thanks Gooniac, very appreciated!
Love this tester, works great and multifunctional, now that’s SMART 👊🏼👊🏼👍🏼👍🏼💥💥
Thanks for the review. Do you have any idea why it shows a different total battery voltage with the balance plug than it does with the battery lead?

Now I don't have to read the manual, I have you professor Spectrum lol. Keep it going.
Hah, thanks Jackson! Here to help!

@@TheRCAirMarshall how do I update the firmware?

This is bit of an aside question but do you use Spektrum batteries with your FrSky equipment?
Great video, best one this checker I've watched.
Can you make a video on how to update the smartchecker?
I’m making it right now, thanks for the suggestion. Will be up either tonight or tomorrow sometime
Dave does the SMART checker itself need charged? Or does it like charge itself with the battery plugged in?
It doesn’t need charging at all. It gets all its power from the battery that is plugged into it.

@@KB_RC you picked a good one for sure! This is a must have tool for any RC toolbox!

Would be nice to explain the purple screen and symbols what they mean no one has addressed this yet please help thanks Ken

Can it set Non smart lipo batteries to storage voltage?
Nope, but it can balance a non smart battery
@@TheRCAirMarshall Thanks!
The xbc100 looks the same like the ISDT Checker. 🤔 Is the xbc100 more accurate or the ISDT version 🤔

picked one up a few months ago servo tester quit working otherwise pretty sweet little unit
Robert Ortlepp that sucks! Did you call Horizon Support? They would probably take care of you!
Mine burnt out on me during balancing cells. Doesnt light up anymore
Wow those smart batteries will take a 5c charge thats impressive✌. All mine are 2c at most for recommend charging 😲👍
the craft king #1 that’s what they say! I never charge above 1.5C myself.
THEY DONT CHECK LIFE VOLTAGE ITS WRONG
