To the camera person, stop being in love with the host....Surround your camera on different details( diff angles) of the strollers that this video is about...Not on the guy in green...Most of the video, the actual product is cut off, not even showing in full.
Sorry, I know this is an old video, but by any chance, do you know or remember. If the seats are compatible to use on either or stroller? I love the lux and It's so hard to find a second seat now in days. I do have the adapters to the second seat just not the seat yet.
I'm having problems with my select lux folding. I find it really hard to fold. Watching your video I noticed you said that lux does not have the word fold on it, but mine has. Can it be a cause of my problem? Thank you.
Its a little disappointing that the lower seat position was removed from the lux. I use that position a lot on our current city select when using the glider board as it gives the child gliding a lot more room for their body. So parents who plan on using the glider board if they have a gap in ages may want to keep that idea in mind.
I noticed this video is from 4 years ago. I'm currently looking at the two... Are there any differences in the newer models? Or a more up to date video?
City select lux vs Uppababy Vista 2017 for twins... Obviously price is a factor, but apart from money, what are the biggest differences/pros and cons to both. Having trouble deciding!!
Can you show the added configurations of this model? I think there are 6 more configurations? And a new sir and stand configuration with a bench seat type thing? Are you sure if you have to remove the top seat to fold it or can you leave both seats attached and fold them both as you fold the stroller?
Hi there! This is an advanced prototype, and we hope to do a number of more extensive reviews in the near future. We're looking forward to seeing this stroller again at the ABC Show on October 18 - so feel free to subscribe, and keep an eye on our channel for more! :)
Thank you fir the review, it would be great if you put the camera show the product more than your face.. because when we like to see any of products reviews of course we need to look at the product than reviewer
Hello! Thank you for all the information, I would like to know how clean every part of the baby jogger city select tandem... I know hoy clean the chair but... I don't know how clean or wash Tha bottom... I will apresiate if you show us that. 🌷
Would this be a competitor to the Uppababy Vista? We're expecting our first in September and like the functionality of the Vista, but the City Select Lux looks like a great option too. How do car seats attach to this model?
Yes, the Lux Seat will fit the original stroller. Baby Jogger is not actively promoting it, but you will be able to buy the lux seats for your previous version City Select. Thanks Eli
Can you try the new harness seat on the old city select? It says it's not compatible but I wonder why it isn't? Also do the fittings for the seats the same on both strollers?
Do you think it's worth buying a stroller that converts from a single to a double if planning on having kids closely in age or to wait to buy a double when the kid is born bc a lightweight single can be easier?
Hi Jenny! That's a great question. I actually wrote an article about this on our blog mbeans.com/spillingthebeans/baby/strollers/4-reasons-to-choose-a-single-stroller-over-that-single-that-converts-to-a-double/ I really should also do a video about this. I am going to be hosting a webinar on October 27th were I will be covering this topic extensively. Please signup for the Magic Beans mailing list on mbeans.com and we'll notify you of more information or subscribe to this channel, and I'll be giving out some more information about that soon. Eli
What are your thoughts on the Baby Jogger City Elite. Seems to be a great stroller but I don’t see one mention of it in past videos. How would you rate or place it in the Baby Jogger lineup? Thank you for your time,
It seems like the new City Select Lux will be machine washable like the previous version, and since the fabric is softer, I imagine you'll need to wash this more often. Thanks Eli
Anyone know the key differences in 2015 vs 2016 classic city selects?? Is it a big deal? Tryna get one used and theres a 75 dollar difference between the two
Trying for baby #2 and I am loving this stroller! I am interested in the new Chicco Fit2 carseat (Love the idea of a carseat lasting the first two years). Would the normal Chicco car seat adapter work for this stroller?
Hi! My question is can i use an extra seat from the city select on my new city select lux (also have the seat adapters for lux). Trying to find an extra seat second hand!
Yes you can, however the adapters that come with the City Select second seat don’t work on the Lux and vice versa. You have to buy the separate second seat adapters for that specific stroller.
1) does the handbrake get in the way of a parent console? 2) can you fold the lux without folding in both seats. Can you leave the top one regular and fold the lower so you don't have to take it off just to fold it? 3) do the new seats fit the older stroller?
Hi! 1) No, it does not because the parent console hangs. 2) No, you have to fold both seats or fold it with just the top seat and no bottom seat. 3) Yes!
Not sure if it has been stated before, but with the upgrades to the frame/wheels. Did the weight of the LUX go up in comparison to the regular City Select? thanks!
Hi - I have a few questions... 1. The lux has a higher handle - great for taller parents, but does it go as far down as the regular CS handle? (Short parent here!). 2. I’ve heard that the brake on the lux is in an inconvenient place - right where your hand sits - making it a bit ‘locked in.’ Is that the case? 3. Is the fabric on the lux absorbent? Will it be as easy to ‘spot clean’ ie just wipe off a mark, as a regular CS, or will you have to put the whole thing in the wash? Is that even recommended? Surely, that would reduce its lifespan? 4. The second setting on the CS for the top seat, was apparently to make it easier to recline the top seat. Is it still easy to recline both seats (at once) on the lux? 5. What’s the difference in the handle material between the CS and the lux? 6. Due to a shorter frame, if you had a toddler, would they be better with a regular CS than the lux, as more leg room on the CS? 7. Folded, how much difference in height, is a double lux, compared to a double CS? 8. Do you know if there’s any real difference between the lux made for the US market and those in other countries (esp. Australia)? Thank you!
I am not sure. They will be in the US in May. I would check with your local Baby Jogger Retailer in Australia. I'll try to find out for your though. Eli
Cheyne Parker I checked this same question with Baby Jogger AU and they said it will be available in Australia and they are expecting a release date of mid to late 2017
Hello! Thanks for all the great informative videos. We are going to have twins in a couple months and we don't live in the US. We fell in love with the Baby Joggers and thinking about getting a shipment. We have 2 Stokke Izi Go by Be Safe infant car seats and I was wondering if there are any adapters that are compatible with this type of car seats for City Select or City Select Lux? Thanks in advance!
The Lux isn't necessarily all terrain, but it certainly can take bumpier roads with the all wheel suspension. We just recently got a hold of the Lux, so we haven't gotten a chance to fully test it on different terrain ourselves! And here is our Maxi Cosi adapter for the Lux: mbeans.com/baby-jogger-car-seat-adapter-city-select-lux-premier-nuna-cybex-maxi-2017.html
Yes, the Lux Seat will fit the original stroller. Baby Jogger is not actively promoting it, but you will be able to buy the lux seats for your previous version City Select.

I’ve tried to watch several of these videos but have yet to get through the whole thing. Content is great but the filming is HORRIBLE. I want to see the strollers the whole time. Literally the only reason I’m here.
I love it! You may need to add air to the tires though. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCaFvSVryLTkivIF4hk3BmXD6n1GX8i8F It was easy to assemble. I am 5’8 and the height of the handle is perfect for me. Great amount of storage underneath. Can’t beat the price and quality on tu is one. I bought it because I Liv in Florida. There is sand, grass and rocks all over. It was important for us to have wheels that is all terrain.
Your Camera person isnt very good im sorry
lol.. so true
just auful(((((

it's super annoying your videos don't show the whole product, but instead focus more on the speaker. I want to see what he's talking about!!
Thank you for your feedback! In our last videos, we have taken similar feedback into consideration!
Lauren Schawe Sullivan I completely agree!! Ugh.
Can you please do a 2017 Vista vs 2017 Lux comparison video?
Hi I have question about parts
Question can you use a city lux bassinet for the old version as well?
Sorry, I know this is an old video, but by any chance, do you know or remember. If the seats are compatible to use on either or stroller? I love the lux and It's so hard to find a second seat now in days. I do have the adapters to the second seat just not the seat yet.
do you have any strollers for kids 🦄🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
just curious with the lux haveing better suspension would it still be difficult to lift it up on the curb with a heavier child in the front
Hi Tegan! Having a heavier child in the front is going to make for a difficult lift with most inline double strollers.
I'm having problems with my select lux folding. I find it really hard to fold. Watching your video I noticed you said that lux does not have the word fold on it, but mine has. Can it be a cause of my problem? Thank you.
We'd suggest contacting Baby Jogger and alerting them of this problem.
also wondering if the canopies are height adjustable. thanks Brandon.
also noticed that the Lux has an automatic lock, and the Select regular doesn't.
Very few differences between 2017 and now. The bench seat and the folding seats are the main ones and everything else is aesthetic.
Can the lux seats go on the baby jogger?
Is their a difference in the car seat adapters for city select compared to city select Lux?
City select lux vs Uppababy Vista 2017 for twins... Obviously price is a factor, but apart from money, what are the biggest differences/pros and cons to both. Having trouble deciding!!
I am in the same boat! Would love to see a side-by-side review - especially when it comes to attaching the infant car seats.
Can you show the added configurations of this model? I think there are 6 more configurations? And a new sir and stand configuration with a bench seat type thing? Are you sure if you have to remove the top seat to fold it or can you leave both seats attached and fold them both as you fold the stroller?

Is this compatible with Chicco fit 2 car seat?
Can I put my old City Select Seat/Pram on the City Select LUX?
Hello! Have you done a video on the Baby Jogger City Elite?
Hi there - we don't carry the Elite, so we aren't able to do a review.
Thank you fir the review, it would be great if you put the camera show the product more than your face.. because when we like to see any of products reviews of course we need to look at the product than reviewer

Hi! All strollers have slightly different cleaning instructions which can be found in your user manual!
Do you know if the lux will have a car seat adapter for the new version of the peg perego primo viaggio infant bucket seat?
Wow, time for an upgrade! I loved my City Select!
totally!!!
do you have the bench seat for the lux? can you try it on the original city select? i really want it but dont want a new stroller
Up to the task of our busy lifestyle
Would this be a competitor to the Uppababy Vista? We're expecting our first in September and like the functionality of the Vista, but the City Select Lux looks like a great option too. How do car seats attach to this model?
The car seats can snap on easily with an adapter. Email us at questions@mbeans.com and we can chat about CS Lux vs Vista!
will the lux seats fit the original city select stroller?
Yes, the Lux Seat will fit the original stroller. Baby Jogger is not actively promoting it, but you will be able to buy the lux seats for your previous version City Select.
Thanks
Eli
Can you try the new harness seat on the old city select? It says it's not compatible but I wonder why it isn't? Also do the fittings for the seats the same on both strollers?
Hi Jennifer, I'm not sure what you mean by harness seat. Do you mean the bench seat, second seat, or something else?
Do you think it's worth buying a stroller that converts from a single to a double if planning on having kids closely in age or to wait to buy a double when the kid is born bc a lightweight single can be easier?

mbeans.com can u add a bassinet to the lux?
Yes, you can. Just like the current city select.
Thanks
Eli
What are your thoughts on the Baby Jogger City Elite. Seems to be a great stroller but I don’t see one mention of it in past videos.
How would you rate or place it in the Baby Jogger lineup?
Thank you for your time,
I’m not even sure they still make the City Elite. It’s a fine stroller - Just not very popular as far as I’m concerned.
Eli
Is there a difference between a 2012 City Select and a 2017?
is the new City select Lux have seats that are machine washable like the 2015-2016 select?
It seems like the new City Select Lux will be machine washable like the previous version, and since the fabric is softer, I imagine you'll need to wash this more often.
Thanks
Eli
Anyone know the key differences in 2015 vs 2016 classic city selects?? Is it a big deal? Tryna get one used and theres a 75 dollar difference between the two
Is it possible to make the seat backs taller?
No :(
When will they be available
The City Select Lux is expected out in early June
do the canopies grow with the stroller? looks like they are stationary on the Lux, vs the regular select.
interested to
No, they can be adjusted just like the regular select.

Trying for baby #2 and I am loving this stroller! I am interested in the new Chicco Fit2 carseat (Love the idea of a carseat lasting the first two years). Would the normal Chicco car seat adapter work for this stroller?
HI there! We are not sure what adapters the Fit2 will work with at this time.
Hi! My question is can i use an extra seat from the city select on my new city select lux (also have the seat adapters for lux). Trying to find an extra seat second hand!

I didn't get a chance to weigh the Lux when I had it for the day, but i seems to be about the same weight. Not substantially lighter.
Eli
Is the city select adapter for maxi Cosi/nuna pipa compatible with the city Lux? I currently have a select but I plan on switching to Lux.
Yes!
@@MagicBeansVideos thanks! I read on a store website that they made a new maxi Cosi adapter for the Lux. Glad you could confirm otherwise!

Hi - I sent through the email on Friday, but no response yet...
Hi! When will Baby Jogger City Select Lux 2017 be in Australia? Or can they be shipped to Australia? :)
So the wheels of LUX its not all terrain because not air... if i want its posible change the wheels or not its possible ???
We're sorry, that's not possible!
When can you purchase the Lux and is it the same cost as the select
It is available for pre order now! It is $629
Hi. I was wondering either thee city select or lux fit a safety 1st onboard 35 carseat?
Good morning, we don't carry the Safety 1st so we can't speak on its compatibility. Sorry!
can you use all the seats, bassinet and seats from the 2016 on the 2017 frame?
+Jewminicana thanks but I called baby jogger and you can't
+jax and my friend has it now and they ate not compatible
+jax only the pram is compatible and some accessories
Hi there! The Stokke Izi Go isn't available in the US, so we aren't sure about its compatibility with strollers.
Will the City Select Lux 2017 have the same colors of the previous City Select?
I'm not sure what the final selection of colors will be, but they will likely be all new colors.
Thanks
Eli
The best part of the original is that it has multiple colors while the lux only has 2 plain colors. Gray an black.
What kind/brand of carseat will fit into the City Select Lux?
Many infant car seats can fit with certain adapters! Let us know which car seat you have or are interested in and we'll let you know.
Is there a car seat adapter for the Cybrex Cloud Q? For the City Select double stroller?
Does the city select pram/bassinet work for the lux?
Yes
were can i get the city select lux
You can pre order it with us at mbeans.com!
Very good review
So difficult to watch the clip. I want to see the STROLLER...
Thank you for your feedback. We have taken that into consideration in our more recent videos
yes! I noticed that, much better now thank you!
is the Lux all terrain or only for paved roads?
Also, does the maxi cosi carseat fit on the Lux? If so, is there an adaptor available and where?
The Lux isn't necessarily all terrain, but it certainly can take bumpier roads with the all wheel suspension. We just recently got a hold of the Lux, so we haven't gotten a chance to fully test it on different terrain ourselves! Thank you for this because I was trying to decide on which one and would've went with the select for pricing but I much prefer the lux! Thanks again!
Thanks for watching!!
Hi mbeans, is the city select lux 2017 compatible with the same infant car seats as the older version?
Yes, it will be using the same adapters as the original City Select!
mbeans.com cool, thank you for your reply.
What is the weight of the lux?
We do not have a floor model but it will likely be around 28 pounds like the original
Can I buy a lux seat to attach on my old select frame?
Yes, the Lux Seat will fit the original stroller. Baby Jogger is not actively promoting it, but you will be able to buy the lux seats for your previous version City Select.
Why is the camera focusing on you and not the product itself? So frustrating.
i agree with jessica mill. you need to focus on the stroller that's the reason we are watching your videos, reviews of the stroller.
Thank you! We have taken this feedback and applied it to our more recent videos.
