it's always a unique joy to see the notification of one of your videos Nick, but this one in particular... there's you, a Ferrari... all that's missing is your "URCO" to end on a high note. (btw yeah i'm teo, i returned back on my old account) (p.s. the quality raised A LOT keep this up my man❤️ (I really mean it, it's not a courtesy thing.)
Thanks buddy 🙏🏻 Really appreciate the comment and really appreciate the fact that you still here after all the changes in the channel. Thank you for the support 🥹
Happy you like the video 🤙🏻 I really hope the headlight will be back in the future. You're right about the engine, i have no idea why i said air cooled... Sorry, my bad 🙏🏻
Bel video, (come sempre 👍🏻) mi sarebbe però piaciuto vedere un passaggio filmato da bordo strada per sentire bene il rombo della macchina che si allontana.
That’s a shame, my Father had one and I used to drive it, I absolutely loved it as did my Father he flew spitfires and seafurys so he knows his stuff really underrated cars!! He had the 308 GT4 a Dino badged one! Cool though 👍👍🇬🇧
@andrewstubbings5628 sound like you really have fun with one of these, that's awesome. Maybe the 308 is slightly different honestly i've no idea, I hope to try one in the future and let you know 🤙🏻 Thanks for the comments and the support, really appreciated 🙏🏻 Wish you a great day!
I had a 1975 308GT4 and it is the only car that I truly miss (I sold it to buy a 1988.5 Lamborghini Countach QV) I prefer it over my 1984 Ferrari 308GTS QV. It hailed great and made more power than the 308 GTS QV and sounded much better.
The 308 GT4 is surely a different beast compared to the 208 GT4 Really hope to try that in the future, I'm pretty sure is on of the most satisfying cars to drive
The grease in the gear change will have gone rock hard. Needs cleaning out and replacing with new grease, adjusted and it will be as smooth as the original change. Once warm of course otherwise second will be impossible till it’s fully warm.
underrated or not god enough compared to other car brands that same year ,i have one bought in perfect condition and cheaper at the time than a diesel mercedes in 2nd hand, till some years ago no one would consider it a ferrari , lucky me or i wouldn´t have one, like they say now about the first Dino ,"oh! it wasn´t at ferrari level" so they sold it as a Dino , but in reality Mr. or Don Enzo released it son´s project car that died years before it´s project being built with a degree that allowed him to put ferrari in the mid engine market but built as an homage to his son not like said today that didn´t meet ferrari standarts ,it´s other car that if it was a ferrari i couldn´t have bought one ,this thing of changing history every year , a american fashion ,it´s getting boring
Can somebody explain to me why this car has a gear layout that is more suited for a race track (1st below reverse because you rarely use it on the track and you can easily shift from second to third) in a 4 seater grand tourer, that's what the GT stands for doesn't it? I guess it's a Ferrari thing.
@@TheWastedDriver That may be a part of it, but also the driving habits in Europe were more toward cornering and fast cruising than the American drag race from stop light to stop light. Getting off the line fastest and slamming into 2nd isn't as urgent if the objective is more toward getting down a crooked road faster than anyone else. The "common complaint" regarding a stiff, cold, gated gearbox is, in my experience, most noticeable in a cold gearbox. If I take it easy and double-clutch when the 1st to 2nd shift is balky, I've found that I had much less trouble with it. Give it a couple miles to "wake up" and the engine oil temp was up to "normal," by then the gearbox was much less trouble.
@MrGaryGG48 everything you said makes absolutely sense. Surely next time i test something similar i will warmup the gearbox before judging it 🤙🏻 Ps: also you make a good point in the first part
I enjoyed the video! The brakes on this car are normally very good, and the suspension should be relatively soft in original spec.
Happy you like it 🤙🏻
Maybe was this model that have some old components, but as you saw, for brake i had to putt the foot outside

Love the video. I have a 308GT4 and it is wonderful. You can drive for many hours without problems, it's very comfortable.
That's the big sister, i hope to test one in her future.
I'm pretty sure is awesome 🤙🏻
Hey, nice vid !
Totally with you with the pop ups headlights!
Sadly all has to be "safe to the extreme"...
The engine is water cooled though.
Happy you like the video 🤙🏻
I really hope the headlight will be back in the future.
You're right about the engine, i have no idea why i said air cooled... Sorry, my bad 🙏🏻
Dinos deserve more love and credit than the MAYORITY of the rest of Ferraris.
I agree on the fact that deserves more credit!
It's an awesome car to drive, one of the most funny ones i've ever driven
The more time goes by the better the gt4 is looking and I find the front of the 208GT4 much .more striking than an the 308 GT4's
Great car!! Wonderful video too! Hope you have many years of enjoyment with this classic Ferrari!
✌️😎from Los Angeles USA
I have it only for one day unfortunately 🥲
But surely i will try a couples more in the future (Maybe in LA too 😬)
Thanks for the kind message!
Gear box is lovely on these you just have to get everything up to temperature!
Even after one hour of driving nothing changed, but surely was a little bit better (not that much unfortunately)

What a beautiful car! Thanks.
It's an amazing vehicle!
Thank you for watching and for the nice comment 🙏🏻
Great job man! It is possible for next driving videos to fix a camera on the pedalbox to film your footwork please? :)
Happy you liked the video 🙏🏻
I was thinking about that, i will surely do it as soon as i test a car on track 🤙🏻
@@TheWastedDriver Great, thank you very much! :D
These cars are insanely undervalued given their rarity. Just 840 examples were made.
Undervalued only because is not powerful as the others, but the value can be the double only for the driving experience that you can have with it

That can explain why the gears where so hard to change, maybe can be that or maybe not.
In any case was a good observation 🤙🏻
A flat tyre means enough time spent together it became yet even more intimate.
True story 😬
The best car viideo I have ever watched
Happy you like it buddy 🤙🏻
Mitico te e mitica la Dino!! :)
Grazie Ale 🙏🏻 fa sempre piacere leggere un tuo commento
For urban driving I think the normally aspirated 208 is better than a 208 turbo as I think it is quicker, the 208 turbo suffering from turbo lag

A freddo, non mettere la 2nda ; fai 1a poi 3a per 15 minuti, il tempo di scaldare l'olio del cambio.

I think in those years Ferrari want each car to be as close to a racing car as possible, in the driving side experience
