Old Ford House and a rumour of its tunnel

Old Ford House is named as the oldest house in Bideford, marking the point of the ford across the river at Bide "ford' . It has always been said there was a tunnel leading to Abbotsham cliffs when the owners took down a wall in the 1970's they found a cave and a tunnel too long to walk down as their candles went out with the stale air.
This video was going to be longer and hold some other info on Ford Drive and the other Ford House known as Zoo House as there was a Zoo as there, but Ford(Zoo) house is in the middle of a housing estate now and I could not find any sign of its past.

Wish you bought twinnaways and kept it going! Down catshole Lane to the left is the old start of the Ford road. You can still see the part that peels off toward littleham in the woods.

Sam Love the comment you are so spot on with it , Twinaways used to be a shop (as well as an old toll house) when we looked at it the grade listing was putting people off and yet to us that was no problem, we have owned listed before, But we had a sticky sale and the woman that owned twin at the time stuck a short term rental in at the last minute that turn out to be a customer of mine and moaned about the house, That being said (out load on the internet) with an offer of when our temp rent term ends it just did not work. Now Sam and everyone Catshole lane Bideford that goes to the old Zoo in Little America. I miss these kind of views. Dover is good with the history but Staffordshire is better for country lanes and villages, I wish I had RUclips when I worked at Alton towers lol. Love the vid I need to film some videos in this style. But keeping away from cliffs
